We agree - Mango House really is in a great location. We are looking forward to our first trip there in 20 months (as a result of the pandemic), to do a bit of updating.

Thanks very much and I'm really pleased you had a great birthday celebration in Barbados. It's great that Mango House is so near to shopping centres, supermarket and restaurants and bars. It's easy to get around without hiring a car as public transport is so good and having a friendly taxi man for the times you don't want to use the bus or walk is handy. I shall look forward to hearing from you again. It's lovely when people want to come back and visit the house and Barbados again.

We are disappointed to have our first negative review in almost 10 years letting properties in Barbados. We have three working TVs in the house which show the national TV channel 8 and we have a huge selection of DVDs for guests to watch when they are not enjoying the sunshine and the beach across the road. We have a laundry at the side of the house with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Our friendly housekeeper Georgie manages all the laundry in the house for our guests. Recently the machine wasn't working but we quickly organised the outsourcing of the laundry to a local company, so the bed sheets and towels remained fresh and clean as always. We have air-con and ceiling fans in both bedrooms for the more humid nights when it is difficult to sleep. The main sitting room is well ventilated with louvre windows which allows the Easterly breeze to sweep through the house.It isn't necessary for air-con in this room as nobody wants all the doors and windows shutting out the beautiful sunshine. (WE NOW HAVE WIFI since October 2016) We don't have WIFI, nor do we advertise this. We have been in discussion with the local provider for the past year trying to install it. We are hoping to solve this in October when we stay in Mango house as we would like to be on-line at home as well. We are lucky to have a cricket team (equivalent to a county team) who plays fortnightly on the pitch behind our house. There is something special about watching cricket being played in the Caribbean and the odd ball coming over doesn't bother too many people. This applies for the friendly local football squad as well.
