Our stay was an all-around good experience. The entire apartment was clean and well-equipped. Screens on the windows to keep out the mosquitoes would have been nice, but we realize that many accommodations in the Algarve do not have screens.
The cliff-top boardwalk located between the apartment and the town of Carvoeiro.

A great stay!

Great stay. Very large, clean and quiet accommodation. Had everything we needed, plus the bonus of a washing machine! Very short walk to a lovely beach, (which seemed a lot less busy the times we were there than other beaches we visited) and a variety of restaurants close by.

Great place for a holiday

Great location, great apartment, with swimming pool at the complex, great beaches nearby and a few shops and restaurants nearby. We had an amazing time at the property and have shared with friends for future holidays.

We took our daughters to Portugal during the spring break. We love nature. This property is located 5mins walk to seven Hanging Valleys trail which has most beautiful views of the ocean. We would like to come again.

Very nice property. We didn’t notice that the property didn’t have air conditioning before we booked but it stayed fairly cool with the window open and fans (even for this time of year). It was clean but would recommend putting all food in air tight container or fridge as it will draw ants otherwise. Great place overall. I would recommend to friends.

Amazing first time stay in the Algarve

Came over to see friends and was very impressed by the Algarve’s laided back atmosphere and beautiful weather. The place was great and had more than enough room for our family of 5. Great area- close drive to everything. Neighbours were friendly. Pool was great! Would highly recommend!

Very comfortable apartment

The property is a good size, although the second shower room is very small with no storage units. However, the outside areas to both front and back of the property were excellent with tables, chairs, loungers and a large umbrella. Overall a very pleasant stay in an excellent location.

Brilliant place, great and helpful owner.

It was so good to stay in such a nice place. All house was so nice and clean, great tarrace and swimming pool was so good. Nice neighbours and very quiet place...something what you really need for a good rest. The host is very helpful. We really recommend this place for everyone and we are thinking about coming back there again. Thank you so much for a brilliant holiday.

Winter break

We stayed for two months to escape the British winter. The flat was perfectly suited for our needs. The rooms are generous, the wood burner was cosy in the evenings. Val and Veronica were helpful and charming. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Well maintained complex that is within walking distance to a beach, small supermarket and several restaurants. The apartment was clean and comfortable with all the amenities you would need for your stay. Veronica was very accommodating, responded quickly to any questions and resolved an issue we had in a timely manner!

Wonderful and relax site

A site where we have enjoyed wonderful days in an appartment very well located, near the Centeanes beach, and where we have the opportunity to take nice walks and appreciate the fantastic landscapes of the area. We also enjoyed the swimming pool and the cleanliness of the appartment. And last but not least word for the kindness of the neighbours.

Best experience ever

The location is superb, the unit is spacious and can easily accommodate two couples or even small families. Squeaking clean. The kitchen is fabulous and the terrace is inviting, yet the pool was the greatest attraction. However, it was the hosts who made our stay so special. They provided all necessary little things that made our life in their apartment absolutely trouble free. In my vast experience it was the first rental where the hosts took care of the kitchen knives and sharpened them. That speaks volumes. And of course their tips helped us explore the beautiful coast, pick local restaurants, etc. Kudos to the hosts! I highly recommend Veronica’s apartment.

Canadian seniors

Everything was as expected in the condo, except for heating. There were 3 space heaters, one in each bedroom and one in the living room. They worked very well, but left the rest of the condo chilly. We were surprised at the mention of a possible extra charge for overuse of electricity. Hopefully we won’t get one!All in all, a great condo in a lovely location. Be sure to do the Seven Hanging Valleys trail - spectacular!!

It is worth mentioning that our winter guests commonly use the fireplace which makes the evenings cosy and the whole apartment nice and warm. Good holiday home, lovely swimming pool, near to beach.

House is set in a small development with private pool. It is a well furnished home, very dark, but that helps keep it cool inside. Beds were comfortable and the management company extremely helpful and pleasant. Set in an area of steep hills and lots of steps, it is not suitable for those less mobile. For those who are fully mobile it is a five minute walk down the hill to the beach and 10 mins hike back up to the house. There is little to do or see in the area as tourism has taken over the old charm of years ago. I would recommend this property for families, it is comfortable and spacious with a pleasant terrace.

The apartment is very light and large. It takes 4 min to walk to the beach, and the area is spectacular for things to do and see, from cliff walking, to water sports, to horse riding, to small Monchique mountains trecking, to visitting more than 30 spectacular beaches, to visiting unique light houses, to enjoying aqualands and delphinariums, enjoying cafe's with live fado performances, to waling along the picturesque streets of Faro, Lagosh, and Alvor, to visitting ancient Spring Spa in Monchique, to visiting small and large artisan shops, to driving to Seville for culture. This is just to name very few.

Beautiful Lagoa

We had some difficulties with the address that was given. We came via rail from Lagos and were not able to have our Uber driver get to the location without having to call for clarification. The apartment is located in Carvoeiro area but it was a 30 minute walk to town. And The options for restaurants and shopping are limited unless you go into the town. It would have been better if we had a car. The apartment was comfortable and clean and met some nice neighbors and they were able to give us some good information on the area. Did not use the pool because the weather was not very good for that.

Dear Janet. Thank you for your review. Full address of the apartment and detailed driving instructions are given in our Welcome pack, which our guests usually print out and bring with them. And the condominium is well known to local drivers. There are 7 nice restaurants in close walking distance to the apartment (4 Portuguese, 1 Indian, 1 American and 1 Italian), and indeed there is a much wider choice of restaurants in the Carvoeiro town itself, which takes us 17 min to walk to. And the beauty of the condominium is that it is close to Carvoeiro, but is very private and quiet, away from crowds and noise which is what our guests appreciate. Our guests choose if they rent a car for their stay, but with arrival of Uber in the area, it became even easier (and not expensive) to get around.

Fantastic rental

Stayed here for just under a week with two other friends. Veronica welcomed us with a bottle of local wine, and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. She was super responsive to any questions we had. The place itself was everything we needed and in a fantastic location for us about ~30 minutes walking distance from Carvoeiro itself, but less than 10 minutes from the Seven Hanging Valleys trailhead and beach. It made for really easy day trips to Benegil, Monchique, and Portomao. The temperature during our stay was great, so we just opened the windows at night and it was cool enough to sleep. There were plenty of fans in the bedroom closets had it been hotter, but we didn't try them out. The kitchen was very well set up (dishwasher, stove, oven, lots of dishes), the only thing worth noting in advance is you need to bring all the basics yourself (eg., salt, pepper, oil, etc). This was a bit inconvenient for us coming from North America so we didn't bring anything with us, and then ended up leaving all our leftover staples. But that was minor in our overall experience. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Felt very reasonably priced for the value.
