Really good value for money. I was looking for the catch, as the house was cheaper than other comparable holiday rentals, but never found one, everything was wonderful. Perhaps it is just because it is a middle terrace, but wasn’t an issue. The lady next door told me she is hard of hearing, and my rowdy teenagers caused her no disturbance what-so-ever.
The home is really well stocked with all the mod-cons meaning we didn’t have to go to the shop to buy anything extra due to it not being provided. There was even a spare hoodie in the wardrobe, which my daughter was able to borrow for her ascent up scaffol pike, having not carried sufficiently warm clothes.
Lovely house in a picturesque location, and great access to the lakes and beyond, in a friendly and welcoming little community.
If I’m being hyper critical the 3/5 for cleanliness was due to the fact it seemed to not have had a deep clean for a little bit. I only noticed this when I moved my side drawer to reach the plug and noticed it needed a hoover in places not usually visible, and also upon giving the bathroom floor a quick wipe upon exit there was more dirt on the tissue than my family could have generated in just four nights.
But at less than £300 for four nights, I’d highly recommend a stay at this holiday let, in a peaceful and idylic village, but only a 20-45min drive to Carlyle, and Keswick
