La maison se trouve dans une belle campagne, à quelques minutes à pied de la plage. Un grand jardin et une piscine offrent une détente en plein air. Une belle vue sur la mer et la réserve naturelle voisine «Lo Zingaro» peut être appréciée depuis le balcon. A quelques centaines de mètres du village pittoresque de Scopello et du site enchanteur de la Tonnara (ancienne station de pêche au thon désaffectée, aujourd'hui station balnéaire), où ont été tournées des scènes du film Ocean Twelve. C'est très calme, mais vous pouvez trouver toutes les commodités, magasins, bars et restaurants à quelques kilomètres.

Beautiful well looked after villa

The villa is even nicer in person, with easy walking down to a beautiful beach. The small and shallow pool meant it stayed a lovely temperature all day too

Outstanding, breathtaking views from villa

We had an amazing week at this beautiful villa. The views are amazind. Im not sure i have stayed anywhere with a better view. The villa itself was lovely and immaculate. We loved having our own private pool. There are lovely walks to two beaches and the very pretty village of Scopello, where we enjoyed spending several evenings. Mariella was a very helpful, kind host. We loved staying here and would love to return.

Wonderful stay

We just spent a lovely week in this beautiful house by the sea. If you want to enjoy turquoise coves and a quiet natural sorrounding in Sicily, this place is unbeatable. Mariella was extremely welcoming and nice. The house spacious, spotless and new. We had all the privacy we needed and truely enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at this accommodation. The villa was immaculately clean and the outside space and pool brilliant. The balcony area was a really good size and mostly in the shade so great on a hot day. The hosts made us feel very welcome and were great for local information. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful house in a stunning location

The house was immaculate with a stunning view of the sea and the national reserve. Mariella was a great host, was very thorough and gave us some good information about the area. The house is lovely, but it’s the outdoor space we really enjoyed. Seating areas at the front and back and around the pool were excellent. We had sole use of the pool and used it every day. There are two pebble beaches nearby. One is a two minute walk downhill which gets really busy, but has a couple of bars/cafes. The other is about 10 minutes walk and is much smaller and quieter. Both are lovely with crystal clear water. The village of Scopello is about a 20 minute walk with the first part all uphill. Scopello itself is lovely with a few shops and excellent restaurants. The nearest small supermarket is a five minute drive and the produce is outstanding. A great place to stay and relax. We will definitely be back.

The apartment was perfect for us. Location wise it was ideal to walk to the small bay at the bottom of the road. Mariella was extremely helpful in letting us know about the local area and restaurant in Scopello village. The pool was the icing on the cake. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice vacation

We stayed 13 nights at this nice property. Nice view, nice pool. Everything works very well. Good beds. Unfortunately it was a bit noisy through various constructions in the neighborhood. You can walk to the beach which is great. Scopello is a nice and quiet spot. Bigger supermarkets are 20min away in Castellammare.

We fell in love with Sicily!

The accommodation was lovely, with the pool such a delight, and the provision of air-conditioning a necessary essential with glorious sunshine each day of our stay. Mariella and Guiseppe were lovely hosts, very determined to ensure that we had a lovely stay, and were kind enough to share a glass or two of beautiful Sicilian wine with us one evening! The property is excellently located, with easy access to the nearby beach and other wonderful local attractions such as Scopello itself where it was just wonderful to eat in the evenings.

Perfection!

One of the best rentals we’ve ever stayed in. The location is perfect - private pool + beach with great snorkeling within a 3 minute walk. You can beat the crowds down to the beach, or just enjoy the stunning view from the balcony and pool. The house itself is comfortable, well-equipped, with great air conditioning in the bedrooms. The hosts are very helpful, offering local suggestions and thorough orientation to the amenities. Private parking is easy, adjacent to the house. We traveled with our children (under 10), and the hosts were equally as welcoming to them - a great family retreat in Sicily!

It was just a perfect stay. These reviews are all excellent and for a reason! The photos don’t really reflect how beautiful the area and everything is. Mariella and Giuseppe are truly great hosts who care about their guests and want to make sure their stay is as good as it can possibly be. The house was spotless, it had everything you needed to enjoy your stay. The pool amazing too. Our hosts recommended plenty of things for us to do, taking their time to write and explain everything down for us which is another sign that they really care, including an amazing wine tasting in the area. Overall, we would really recommend it. Thank you again Mariella and Giuseppe!

Just what our family needed

After the past two years of travel restrictions and working from home we were really looking forward to a much deserved holiday. I have to say this villa surpassed all expectations and was even more lovely than the photos and the pool was amazing. You will need a car to get from the airport and to go to the supermarket but Scopello village is only about a 20minute walk with some amazing restaurants and cocktail bars. The first part of the walk is uphill and quite uneven so leave your high heels and wedges at home. Mariella was fantastic and all her communication before our stay was so helpful and she even met us at the villa on arrival to talk us through everything. Would 100% recommend this villa, thanks for a super holiday.

Wonderful house with great view

We had a great stay with friendly and helpful hosts. The house has an amazing view over the ocean and the nearby places are fantastic. We could easily have spent more days there. N.B.: You will absolutely need a car to get to this house. N.B.: Be mindful that the number of rooms available is based on the number of guests. In the ad, it appears you book a 3 room house but it turned out only 2 bedrooms were included in the price, as we were 4 people travelling. Luckily, the hosts were very helpful even though we arrived late in the evening and we could sort out the extra room for an additional fee. This was critical to us as we have an autistic teenage son who needs his own room when he travels with us.

Hot happy holiday

Excellent communication before, during & after our holiday. Clear directions from Palermo airport. This villa benefits from a secure & well maintained pool, which was greatly appreciated in the hot weather. The villa contains all of the facilities required for one week's holiday. Although a combi microwave is available & not a separate oven / microwave as implied on the website. The owners are friendly & any queries were efficiently dealt with. We visited Erice, Segesta, Selinunto, Agrigento & Palermo - the temples were amazing (Segesta & Agrigento temples - for us were the best). The botanical gardens in Palermo are well worth a visit, as relaxing & containing some spectular plants. Unfortunately Palermo palace was closed during our visit. We would certainly recomend this villa. Thank you.

Beautiful place to stay

The property is absolutely stunning, well presented and tastefully decorated. Well equipped with almost everything you need. The pool was great, particularly given the beautiful garden setting and the amazing local scenery. The host, Mariella was so helpful and kept in touch throughout our stay and gave us some great advice to make our stay even better. Scopello is lovely, all the bars and restaurants were great serving up superb food and drinks. The 2 local supermarkets were both really good, and a special mention to the Solea grocery and eaterie ( next to supermarkets) if you want to enjoy local produce then this place is a must....you can buy their wines for only 3 euro a litre, the red nero d'avola was delicious. There are plenty of great places to visit nearby, we visited Palermo, Segesta, Trapani, Erice, Marsala, Castellammare del Golfo and the beautiful Zingaro to name but a few, all really interesting and beautiful. We have already decided that we need to return to Scopello very soon, hopefully with more sunshine the next time as the weather was very unsettled during our stay although this didn't spoil our stay at all. I highly recommend this property and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

A little piece of paradise

This was our second stay in this lovely villa, and it was every bit as wonderful as we remembered. Our family (myself, my husband and our 12 and 16-year olds) spent three weeks in this little piece of paradise and all thoroughly enjoyed it. You couldn't ask for a better location: views out over the Mediterranean, two beaches within walking distance, a walk up to the village of Scopello for an ice cream, meal out or to sip Amaretto while watching the world go by. It's also easy to shop for food in the village, the nearby minimarket and greengrocer (complete with very drinkable local wine at 1.50 Euros a litre) or the supermarkets in Castellammare. The house itself is well appointed and equipped, but the real joy is the balcony and the pool area, where we spent hours lazing in the sun, reading and swimming. Moonlight swims were a special treat for us. It's also a good base for some fantastic days out: we visited the archaeological sites at Mozia, Solunto, Segesta and Agrigento as well as the hillside town of Erice, Marsala and Palermo. This time we were able to meet the owner, Mariella, and her family, who welcomed us warmly. This is a very special place indeed.

What a wonderful trip in a stunning place. Mariella and Giuseppe were warm and generous hosts and welcomed us late at night even though Mariella was celebrating her birthday. Mariella's communication was excellent prior to our stay and she was very helpful when we were there. Stunning and spotless villa. Spacious bedrooms, a good size bathroom and well equipped kitchen. We spent all of our time in the large outside area which was perfect for sunbathing, reading and relaxing with incredible views and a lovely garden. The balcony was perfect and we ate there all the time, loving the evening 'fly past' from the swifts whilst looking at the stunning views. We were there in high season, but it was peaceful and relaxing. Scopello is such a pretty little town, with good restaurants and bars, and the scent of jasmine in the air. Both supermarkets in the area were great, and the green grocer sold delicious home made bread. A short walk to a beach good for snorkelling with amenities and a slightly longer walk to a very pretty secluded beach. A short car drive away is Spiaggia di Guidaloca - a much larger beach and great for swimming. Erice is worth a visit and Terrasini has a pretty centre with pretty beaches. We were there for a week but could have stayed all month. Thank you.

Good location moderately equipped

We were there in October with our two kids. Between Palermo, San Vito lo Capo and Zingarro nature reserve this spot is really one of the best locations in Sicily’s north west. Basically the two stars off the maximum is due to the lower value for money and an unpleasant discussion with the owner: The water is heated by sun collectors. Which means that when it was cloudy (happened a few times) it has been difficult for me and my wife to take a hot shower. We have been informed on this only when checking in. The kitchen equipment is really very limited and worn down. The non sticky Teflon pots are extremely scretched. And there was also only one pot with lid. No knifes for preparing food, cheese grinder etc. The internet connection is terrible as it constantly interrupts and, at least on apple devices, often does not reconnect automatically. While I believe the owner that in this region this is the best you can get, this will be big problem if you need to rely on a good connection (e.g. for work or kids entertainment in the evening). Because the kids took off the anyway loose cover of the sofa the owners accused us to be also responsible for the stains underneath (claiming they have not been there before). I guaranteed that it was not the kids (who never were alone there) nor us. But the discussion, almost argument, happened twice, during our stay and afterwards (when discussing the deposit). In the end they did not charge us. Having a good insurance, the money would not have been the issue anyway but it was a very unpleasent situation. The house itself is really spacious including the balcony with great view and the pool. The owners described everything very precisely in a folder: sights, restaurants, supermarkets etc. and of course all the do’s and donts for the apartment. Being there in October we sometimes felt a bit lonely as there were not really many people in the other houses in the neighborhood. Especially when the alarm in the neighborhood went off during two nights. As mentioned because of the limitations in hot water, internet and kitchen equipment compared to the price we paid, I think it is not really good value for money.

I think the account is totally unfair and due to the problem of the stain and the other damage the guest did not report (he broke the freezer door handle, which he admitted). The water temperature is usually sufficient if people do not exaggerate with the time they spend in the shower. The Internet connection is the best we can have in the area and it is usually enough unless you must upload big files. The kitchen equipment will be improved, but I don't think it is as bad as the guest said. I don't know what alarm the guest is referring to, he didn't mention it to me. The discussion happened only once, because the sofa cover had been removed and the sofa had a bad stain which was not there before. It is unclear why the children removed the sofa cover, which was there as protection. They denied causing the stain, so I decided to let it go. Communication with the guests was very poor, they kept sending me messages to ask for things I had explained or were written in the information leaflet (which they clearly did not consult). When the maids went into the house for cleaning they were shocked by the mess. They sent me photos showing the floor and the house surfaces covered with all sort of things, so it was hard to do the cleaning. Also the bathroom was very messy. Never again !

Nous avons passé de superbes vacances.La maison, la piscine et l'emplacement sont au top pour le repos et pour pouvoir aller à la mer à pieds ainsi qu'à Scopello.Une mention spéciale à Mariella et Giuseppe pour leur accueil, leur générosité et leurs conseils pour les visites.Nous conseillerons sans problème à nos amis d'y passer des vacances et nous, nous y retournerons.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

My family has had this house since the 80s. We bought it when this was still an unknown place, enchanted by the stunning location and the quiet. We live in Palermo, but we come here at least a few weeks every year in the summer and whenever we come it is for us a break from the noise and the stress of our daily life. We love the colours, which change according to the season, the silence, broken only by the singing of the birds and the sound of the waves from the nearby beach, the smells, a mixture of flowers from the garden and sea water. We could sit for hours just enjoying the peace and the view.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Although located in a quiet area, away from the main road and the noise, the house is at a short distance from the village of Scopello and close to several restaurants, bars and pizza places. There is a supermarket, a grocery store and a vegetable market just 5 minutes by car and the town of Castellammare, offering all kinds of facilities, shops and entertainments, is at 15 minutes' drive. The beach is at few steps from the house and the beautiful reserve Lo Zingaro at 1 km. Besides the house lies just between the sea and the mountains, offering the chance of mountain walks to the trekking lovers. If you want to cool off and rest, you can just sunbathe and enjoy the pool, but if you want to keep in touch with work and home, bring your laptop along and connect to our wi/fi network.
