This is a well situated villa with stunning views and close to the village of Jalon/Xalo where there are great restaurants, bars and now 2 super markets. Fiesta time is alwYs busy and great fun with bull running a tradition and partying into the early hours so avoid this time if you prefer something a bit more quiet.
Totally undersold by the owner!! Villa on the Jalon valley side gives an awesome vista from the neja anytime of day. Really well equipped villa and beautiful pool meant that kids were kept on their toes. Wi-Fi access helped that too.
Jalon itself is a very beautiful almost typically Spanish village - enough to get by if you barely speak Spanish but the locals are so welcoming and friendly.
Beautiful beaches are a 20 minute drive away and are so not your estapona or Marbella
A truly truly place to relax, reflect and enjoy
The whole holiday was set off with a fantastic villa, amazing setting with everything you need to feel at home , we were very disappointed as we would love to return but there was nothing in the description about the over 30 steps to villa, my husband walks with a frame and it was a really bad strain on us and if we had not had our grandson who was 14 to help us carry bags up the stairs we would not have been able to stay . Weâd love to return but this villa does not meet our needs. I think this should be in description not suitable for those with poor mobility
Lovely spot with great views. Local town very friendly and convenient. Quite a few steps at the villa so be wary if this is an issue. Lovely pool which proved essential in the extreme heat currently being experienced
Communication was easy and very good both before and during stay.
Property was spotless and basic cleaning supplies provided to ensure it stayed clean.
Location is very peaceful - residential and holiday homes.
Lovely temperature with pleasant breeze as so high up and outstanding views. You can walk into Xalo but we chose to drive.
We love this area and have been visiting family there for over 20 years.
Spent 7 nights at the villa.
Superb views , lovely pool , great weather .
Property very clean and all utensils you needed.
My only slight room for improvement would be some comfortable garden seating for watching the sun go down in the evenings.
Saying that not just this villa but others we have stayed at generally donât have this .
Overall lovely villa though
We had a great time in Spain. The house and the surroundings were perfect. Everything we needed for a relaxing time was there. The villa was very clean and we enjoyed our stay very much.
We had a fabulous 2 weeks in this beautiful villa. It was spotlessly clean & well equipped. A great location for a relaxing family holiday. Thanks Tom & Sarah for sharing your amazing villa.
The villa is spacious and very well equipped with everything you need and felt like home. The beds are very comfortable and the villa is finished to a high standard.
The town and surrounding area are a little hidden gem of Spain and the coast is not too far away.
We sat for hours taking in the view from the villa and the peace and quiet made a very relaxing holiday.
We only booked a week and this was not long enough as there was lots to experience in town and we just ran out of time.
A tip would be to look at flights to Valencia this is just 1:30 hr drive to the villa and we found alot cheaper than flying to Alicante.
The owners of the villa were very nice to book through and were always very quick to respond to any questions we had.
I would definitely recommend a stay here.
Superbly presented villa with all the amenities you could need. Air conditioning in each room was an added bonus, allowing myself and my three year old son to escape the midday heat whilst my wife enjoyed the sun.
The weather for our stay was great and the lovely clean pool was a great place to spend time in the afternoons.
The owners were fantastic start to finish and provided all the help/assistance we needed prior to arriving at the villa.
The location is perfect for providing a quiet, relaxed location, whilst still only being a short drive from a number of seaside towns. Jalon itself has a number of good restaurants and shops selling all you need.
Severely understated villa!!! We stayed here with our 3 daughters and found this place totally amazing.
Lovely location on the side of the Jalon valley with tireless views across the valley to Jalon itself and the Sierra Bernia mountain range beyond that.
If you want a peek at the real Spain, then come take a look. Jalon itself is a beautiful town with narrow streets and has all you need to survive for a week or two with a supermarket but lots of 'local shops' too. Only minor signs of a 'pub' the town has plenty of great places to eat amongst the locals.
Lovely beaches 20 minutes away (direction of Benissa is best).
Villa itself does not disappoint. Well equipped and clean with lovely pool plus all important air con (temp averaged 39 Celsius during our stay). Wi-Fi kept kids happy (plus the pool of course).
But right from the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and at home. Tom and Sarah couldn't do enough to accommodate us and we'd definitely recommend their beautiful villa to anyone.
One wording of warning though to anyone flying to Valencia - your car hire will be off airport. Obviously depends on your hire company but we waited an hour for our courtesy bus and a further 30 minutes before we got our bags in the car (Sol Y Mar).
Me and my wife hired this villa along with our three kids (15,14, & 11) for 10 days in August. The villa itself gives you everything you need. Great space to sunbathe by the pool with all the usual mod cons. The WiFi was an added bonus and gave the kids some respite from the heat. Speeds were around 5mbps which is pretty good for that area of Spain. The villa is lovely and clean with Air Con in all the rooms. Jalon is just a short walk down the hill. It's a bit of a walk back up and can be dark so we'd recommend torches. There's loads of good restaurants in Jalon and even more within short driving distances. We went over during Jalons bull running fiesta which is definitely an experience. Well worth booking if you want something away from the busy beaches and bars of Benidorm.
