Lovely property

Lovely property that suited our family of 6 adults, 1 teenager and a 2 year old. Plenty of space throughout the property with sufficient bedrooms and fabulous outdoor area. The pool was clean and a good size. Plenty of comfortable seating for outdoor eating, socialising or sun bathing. The village is quaint and quiet. Overall a fabulous stay that really worked for us.

Ladies hiking trip

This villa was really good for 10 person. Even the garage was small, we had 2 small cars and we managed to park both of them to garage. The yard was really nice with the pool and long table to dinner. Although the kitchen was small it was very well equipped. Only tiny minus was that some towels were quite old. There was a washing machine so after hiking it was so easy to clean the clothes. I can highly recommend this villa and I believe we will come here again (female group/childhood friends who make a trip to this island every year).

Fabulous house in the perfect location

We planned to stay in Selva to attend my niece's wedding in the town so wanted a property that was in the right location, had a pool and space for 5 of us to stay - Can Rafael ticked all the boxes and more. The house is huge, a wonderful entrance hall with high ceilings, leading one way to a small lounge with full bathroom just off, the other to a dining room and into the kitchen (well stocked as we did plenty of cooking). However, the main draw is once you step outside to the wonderful terrace - a covered area with seating leading to another covered dining area then onto a fantastic pool with sun beds all around. Then there is the view - stretching out south across the island, simply stunning. The bedrooms are all good sizes, 2 upstairs with air con units, 2 others upstairs benefit from air con in a further lounge upstairs (the twin down stairs doesn't have A/C so may get a bit warm), one twin is en suite, 2 other bathrooms upstairs so plenty of room for families. The beds were comfortable enough and each room had plenty of storage for clothes. The house is on a side road approx 50m from the town square with 2 restaurants within a minute's walk (1 literally next door), plus a bank and 2 further bars / restaurants around the square. There is a small supermarket a short drive the other side of town (5-10 walk) for basic supplies so everything is within walking distance which puts the house in an ideal position (there is also a huge garage 20m from the front door for those with a car, ideal as it keeps the sun off and keeps the car cool). 1 minor point, there is no "welcome pack" (milk, bread, wine etc) which we have seen at similar properties across Europe and a few more towels would be beneficial but we have contacted Rafael and he will provide these going forward. All in all, this is a wonderful property, particularly if you fill all the beds as it then makes it VERY good value for money and one we expect we'll return to.

Besser kann man Mallorca nicht erleben!

Der Aufenthalt war fantastisch. Gleich bei der Anreise waren wir begeistert. Das Haus liegt mitten im Dorf / Stadtzentrum. Das ist zwar abends zum schlafen zwar etwas quirlig, wenn die Restaurants noch besucht sind, aber das ist halt die zentrale Lage. Diese war perfekt um früh zum Bäcker zu gehen, oder abends gleich im Haus daneben oder unten am Ortseingang schön zum Essen zu laufen. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist traumhaft! Man kann zur Bucht von Alcudia schauen und das Meer sehen, hinter einem liegt das Gebirge und schaut in den Süden der Insel über einige zig Kilometer! Die Räume sind original Mallorikinsch und daher vielleicht nicht für jeden etwas aber wir haben es genossen. Die Möbel sind halt "alt" aber völlig in Ordnung uns alles sauber! Wir waren sowieso nur zum schlafen drin, ansonsten auf der Terrasse und die Küche war sofort erreichbar. Es gibt viele Ecken wo man Sitzen kann. Der Pool ist knapp 2m tief und daher sehr erfrischend. Der Vermieter ist öffters gleich im Nachbarhaus und daher sehr gut erreichbar. Die Kurtaxe von 2€ pro Erwachsenen und Tag hatten wir nicht auf dem Schirm, aber der Ort lohnt sich. Achso einen gut sortierten Laden gibt es auch im Ort, aber für uns 10 Mann, waren wir sowieso fast jeden Tag in Selva einkaufen. Wir hatten Mietwagen, die man im Ortz parkt und somit hatten wir viel Erleben und Erkunden können und haben 3 Tage komplett im Haus verbracht und konnten da sehr gut entspannen und Mallorca genießen!

Fantastiskt boende i Selva

Stor härligt boende i traditionell stil med stor härlig uteplats, hänförande utsikt med egen pool! Fantastiskt läge för utflykter, här stormtrivdes hela familjen! Standarden i huset är äldre, men allt som behövs finns. Plast möblerna på uteplatsen börjar spricka och skulle behövas köpas nya. Bra att veta för de äldre som reser att huset har en lång, ganska brant trappa till övervåningen så det var tur att det fanns ett rum bara ett par trappsteg upp då min pappa inte klarade av att gå i den branta trappan. Poolen är heller inte uppvärmd så den var väldigt kall när vi besökte i Maj. Värt att nämna för andra gäster är att det är ganska smala, branta och slingrande gator upp till boendet så klar fördel med mindre bil! Parkering fanns inte vid boendet men hittades ofta ganska nära huset, bara ett par minuters promenad bort. Summerat så har vi haft en fantastisk vecka i detta boende! Rekommenderas varmt.

Tolles geräumiges Haus mitten in der Altstadt mit sehr schönem Ausblick

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön gelegen, quasi mitten in der Altstadt von Selva. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig, so dass auch bei einem großen Besuch alle ihren Platz auch zur Ruhe finden können. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich, hat uns sogar auf unserem Wunsch die finca dekorieren lassen, da wir dort Geburtstag feiern wollten. Sogar der Kühlschrank hatte ein paar Lebensmittel, was uns den Einstieg erleichtert hat - wir kamen sehr spät am Abend an. Die Zimmer waren alle sauber und an einigen Tagen recht ruhig. Das direkt benachbarte Restaurant ist zwar gut besetzt gewesen, aber an den meisten Tagen haben wir wenig was davon mitbekommen. Nur Flaschen nach dem Feierabend entsorgen und damit klappern hätte nicht sein müssen. An einigen Tagen war in den Gassen viel Verkehr. Die Zimmer zur Straße hin wären also nichts für leichte Schläfer. Der Pool war auch recht groß und sauber. Eine Garage gabs auch dazu, allerdings war die Einfahrt darin und die Fahrt durch die engen Gassen ganz schöne Herausforderung. Alles in allem empfehlenswert dort zu bleiben. Der Gastgeber war auch so erreichbar wenn man was gebraucht hätte. Ganz toll! Gerne wieder.

The most relaxing and charming place!

I stayed here with my mum, auntie and cousin and all of us fell in love with the house and garden, it’s a calm oasis with a stunning view whilst also being only a stones throw from the main square, selva is picture postcard pretty. The house isn’t hi-tech modern but we loved that, it’s filled with beautiful furniture and paintings and there is so much space to enjoy. We would love to return! If I had to find one area for improvement, it would be to have a/c in a couple more of the bedrooms, despite 2 being linked to the upper living space with a/c we found the rooms warm.

A special place

We were a party of nine with ages ranging from 2 to 62. This property was perfect for us with plenty of space, shade & a lovely pool. An added bonus was a spacious garage that fitted in a 9 seater mini bus & 3 mopeds! The Village was lovely & had enough bars & restaurants for us. Rafael was the perfect host and I would not hesitant to recommend this property & would love to visit again.

Vi er vild med Selva

3. gang i Selva skuffede ikke. Fantastisk by med bager, cykeludlejning, købmænd, apotek, værtshus, fodboldbane og lokal stemning. Skønt hus med egen garage lige ved det hyggelige torv, hvor Es Forn serverede de vanlige lækre pizzaer, salater og starters til fair pris. Huset har alt man behøver. Vi var fem. Men det er rigeligt stort til 10 som angivet. Egen pool og friske mandariner fra træet i gården var skønt. Husk at bestille bord hos MIceli.es mindst fem måneder før ankomst. Det skulle være outstanding, men det er endnu ikke lykkedes os at få et bord. God tur til Jer! :)

Cosy House - Super location!

Traditional Spanish house with good space, nice pool area and lovely terrasse. The landlord was very kind and responded immediately to our requests. Selva is a quite village with shops for daily needs and good restaurants and cafés. For bike cycles entusiasts this is the ideal place! We would like to return to this house another time!

I would love to keep the house a secret

Wonderful situated house for those who wishes to experience the quiet Mallorca, stunning view and perfect access to race Mallorca's mountains on bike. I simply love this house and its outdoor surroundings - but I would prefer to keep this house a secret of my own!! Raphael is a very kind and helpfull host. If I had to find anything to complain about - perhaps the kitchen could do well with a thorough cleaning. We hope to come back :O)

Thank you very much. Regarding the kitchen just this week the cleaning lady had a problem and was promptly replaced. We felt that the kitchen was not entirely to your liking. We will put more vigilance so that this does not happen again.

Fantastic

3rd stay at this fantastic, well appointed property. Pool has been upgraded and is a wonderful bonus to any stay. Almost an infinity pool with fantastic views across the island and Inca. Accommodation is extensive and beautifully furnished. Has a garage close by which is essential to avoid passing vehicle damage overnight in the narrow streets. Thoroughly recommend.

Spacious townhouse in Selva with fantastic views. Highly recommended.

The house is located in one of the streets just off the main square in Selva. Although you're in the town, at the back there are fantastic views and you can see all the way to Alcudia Bay. It's very spacious inside, with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms as well as two sitting-room areas. It's mainly decorated in a traditional style, with lots of beautiful paintings, but two of the bathrooms have been refurbished recently. There's plenty of outside seating surrounded by plants and flowers, whether you want to be in the sun or out of it, as well as a terrace leading out of the sitting room on the first floor. The pool is very clean, with Roman steps at one end. In the garden on the level below, there are fig, lemon, lime and pomegranate trees and it was great to be able to pick some of the fruit. Although the house is located next to a restaurant, the noise is very minimal and didn't disturb us at all. There are also several good restaurants in the main square, as well as a bakery and shop etc, so you don't need a car to pick up essentials (although we had one to get to Selva from the airport and to visit other places). There's also a small supermarket within walking distance. All in all, we had a great week and will definitely visit Selva again.

Lovely place to stay, great location!

Lovely old rambling house at the top of a narrow street just off the main square; heaps of space inside and amazing views out across the valley. The swimming pool was icy cold (start of March) but it would be fantastic in the Summer. The oranges and lemons from the garden were a nice treat. I was there for a week's cycling, and Selva is a great base if that's what you're doing.

"Can Rafael 'is a typical old Mallorcan house, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Decorated in a typical Mallorcan style, some of the furniture are from nineteenth century. There is central heating for the cooler and air conditioning on the first floor for the summer months. Small size and located in the quiet village of Selva, near the square and the church. Far from the mass tourism routes the village is on top of a hill in the center of the island and you can enjoy beautiful views of the plains of Mallorca from the terrace of the house or visit the typical Majorcan restaurants and bars.

The house is the ideal starting point for car excursions or long walks to discover the surrounding of Selva, trekking or hiking in the mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana. Also, it is ideal as a base for cycling routes. In the nearby town of Inca, there are excellent shops with a large weekly market in the city center on Thursdays and some typical restaurants to sample Majorcan cuisine.

From Inca, the capital, Palma, is easily accessible by train, from where you can take the tourist train to Soller through the mountains. The Inca road through the village and continue up into the mountains of the mountain range 'Serra de Tramuntana', towards Torrent de Pareis and towns of Sóller, Deià and Valldemossa. The beaches of Alcudia and Port de Pollensa can be reached easily as well.
