This is a beautiful gem a short drive from Quebec City. Gorgeous views with lots of space. We stayed 4 nights with children and were thrilled to learn there was a public outdoor pool across the street, as well as a playground! The house is beautiful with everything you could need during your stay. The hosts live next door and are very welcoming and helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for some true rest and relaxation!

We had such a wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed. Our hosts were incredibly kind and thoughtful, and their wonderful hospitality made our visit even more special.The house was absolutely perfect—comfortable, inviting, and filled with so many little touches that showed how much thought had been put into making guests feel at home. The beds were very comfortable and everything we could possibly need had been considered.Our stay was so peaceful and relaxing, and the gorgeous views were something we never tired of. We LOVED watching the shops go down the St. Lawrence River. It was the perfect place to slow down, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of Île d’Orléans.We truly enjoyed every minute of our stay and would happily return! If this place is available, RENT IT!! You will not be disappointed.

The communication with the hosts was great starting with booking the property. The house was clean and in such a beautiful location. The hosts reached out upon arrival to make sure everything was as expected and they checked in during the stay. Helpful suggestions to local attractions were also provided which was considerate especially since this was our first trip to Quebec. I would totally recommend this place to family and friends.

Cute, clean and perfect

Our stay was simply wonderful. The space is clean, warm and just the perfect place for a family of four. The owners were eager to help us with information of the area and they always checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying here.

BEST VRBO we’ve ever visited!

The house is ADORABLE! We enjoyed three cozy beds, a huge backyard on the water, and a convenient location for exploring the island. We were greeted by the lovely hosts Celine & Andrei and their handsome dog Marius, and DELICIOUS homemade raspberry muffins awaited us in the eat-in kitchen. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful experience!

The house was just right for a long weekend with old friends and I can imagine it would suit a small family group, too. It is very clean, the location is peaceful and yet convenient to the sights of Old Quebec or the coast toward Beaupré, and you’ll find whatever you need in the many storage spaces around the house. The hosts, who live next door, were the perfect mix of engaging - left us alone for our own vacation, but ready with recommendations if we asked. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time at the rental home of Celine and Andre! We were a group of 6 adults visiting the region for vacation. We were welcomed with delicious banana bread and chocolate. The home was clean and well appointed. The neighborhood quiet with a small grocery store within a short walking distance. The view was beautiful from inside and outside the home. Our hosts checked in on us throughout the stay and answered questions promptly. We would highly recommend!

Ideal Place for a Family Vacation!

Our family of 6 (kids ages 12, 9, 3, and 3) had the absolute best time staying here. Céline and Andreï couldn't have been more welcoming or hospitable, and the house was prepared exactly to our needs, even more than we would have hoped for. They truly went above and beyond! Everything was true to the listing, and with the house's perfect location on the island, all its features (porches, fire pit, riverfront exploring, toys and games, cozy rooms, well appointed kitchen and bathrooms), and our kind and accessible hosts, we couldn't have imagined a better stay for our first big vacation as a family of 6. Hoping to return someday before too long!

A super spot on Ile d'Orleans

We have stayed on Ile d'Orleans before but this was the first time with Celine and Andrei. We were not disappointed. The house is large and comfortable with a really excellent location. St Laurent is a short drive from the bridge off the island and the house has super views out over the St Lawrence. Celine and Andrei made sure we had everything we needed to get the most out of our stay from information to clearing the snow after a large fall overnight!

Amazing Guest House

The guest house was extremely clean and tidy. The furnishings were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Céline and André, the property managers, lived just next door and were attentive to any questions or requests. Although our weather was not conducive to outside activities, the outside area look to be perfect for warmer weather. The guest house is in an excellent location, right on the banks of the St. Laurence River. It’s situated on quiet beautiful L’ile d’Orleans island and only a short 20 min. drive to Quebec City.

Wonderful Experience

What a beautiful location and terrific experience! My husband and I took his parents (in their late eighties) on a 10-day trip to Quebec, and our stay in this home was a highlight. My husband was able to prepare delicious gourmet family meals in the FULLY stocked kitchen every night, which is something he loves to do. The location was really convenient to the waterfalls and cathedrals we visited, and the view from the great room was peaceful and relaxing. Celine and Andrei were very friendly and supportive hosts, and provided lots of recommendations for local activities. We really could not have had a better experience and we hope to return again!

The house is extremely clean and well kept with a spacious yard, three bedrooms, lots of room to relax, and a very good kitchen. We were very pleased. Celine and Andrei are excellent hosts. The island is delightful with many farm stands and artisans. A chocolate shop on the island is a must-visit as well as any of the fresh bakeries for croissants. Enjoy taking the long way around to enjoy the views. Just across the bridge and only 15 minutes or so are the Montmorency Falls and then Old Town Quebec a little further on. There is a school playground right next door, so expect playground sounds between 8am and 5pm. Not overly disturbing unless you’re hoping for an afternoon nap after a day of touring the lovely island or Quebec.

A wonderful week!

My family and I visited Quebec City and the surrounding area for the first time in summer 2022. Our hosts at la Maison du Fleuve aux Grandes Eaux were absolutely wonderful - responsive at all times, easy to communicate with, and always eager to provide us with suggestions of what to do, where to eat, and local shops to visit. Their guest home is impeccably clean and decorated tastefully, and has all of the little touches that are so appreciated: plenty of towels, linens, kitchen needs, comfortable beds, and lots of space for moving around. You get to enjoy not one, but two porches that look upon their beautifully landscaped yard and the river. The lovely village, and indeed the whole island, will take hold of you and not let you go. We will be forever grateful for the hospitality and care we received during our relaxing week. We highly recommend this property. With our very best wishes- Jen, Filip, Alice and Andy
