Oystercatcher was not the beach house I expected it to be. The photos online have been manipulated to make the rooms looker larger, brighter, and aesthetically pleasing. Pictures are elongated. As a point of reference the TV is probably 40", and not much larger as shown. Upon check-in I was surprised to find out I had to clean out the dishwasher from the last guests. The living room sofa and loveseat should be cleaned, and the recliner must be from the "Frasier" TV show the Dad sat in. The wicker chair has cushions with no padding, and hard enough to crack your buns. Kitchen is quaint, and has adequate pots, dishes, utensils, etc. The outdoor grill was extremely dirty, and had a lot of grease buildup. Bathrooms have been updated, but could use more of the white towels for all the guests. The 3 bedrooms are a good size with older furniture. Bed linens in third bedroom may need updating. Please be very careful of the front outdoor stairs for older adults and young children. Bricks are not evenly spaced and not level with no nighttime lights on pathway. The front porch is very large, and provides lots of room for families. Furniture is showing wear and tear, but still a place to sit and relax. Location of house if pretty decent as you are about 3-4 blocks from the main street.
