Petite maison à la montagne - vue sur la montagne ZigZag

Détendez-vous et détendez-vous dans notre cabine unique et personnalisée. La cabine est nichée sur une colline boisée au-dessus de notre cabine principale. Il se trouve sur 4 acres de terres boisées privées, bordant le mont. Forêt nationale de Hood. Une escapade idéale pour les couples cherchant à passer un week-end romantique dans les bois ou un foyer pour ceux qui sont ici pour profiter de tout. Hood a à offrir. Randonnée pédestre, pêche, ski sont à quelques minutes!

L'espace:
Soigneusement organisée et conçue avec soin, cette petite cabane est décorée avec des œuvres d'art et du mobilier d'artisans locaux. La cabine dispose d'un espace ouvert avec une mezzanine très confortable équipée d'un lit queen-size, d'un fauteuil de lecture confortable et d'une télévision pour regarder des films. Le salon dispose d'un confortable canapé moelleux et d'une vue parfaite tout en vous prélassant près du poêle à bois. La kitchenette vous offre tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour dîner: un four électrique / cuisinière, un grille-pain et une cafetière. L'espace extérieur comprend un grand foyer extérieur avec une vue magnifique sur la forêt et le mont ZigZag.

Pour les groupes de trois personnes - draps, oreillers et couvertures supplémentaires seront fournis sur demande pour le canapé (pas de canapé, mais confortables pour dormir - option idéale pour ceux qui voyagent avec des enfants). En outre, pendant les mois d'été, il y a beaucoup d'espace pour installer une tente à l'extérieur.

*** S'il vous plaît noter - Le trajet de la route à la cabine est raide. Vous aurez besoin d'une traction intégrale ou d'une traction intégrale pour atteindre le sommet d'un véhicule (nous avons un VW Tiguan et nous le faisons bien). Si vous avez une voiture à deux roues motrices, il y aura un traîneau à marchandises pour transporter vos effets personnels en haut de la colline. C'est à environ 200 pieds de la route.

** Nous fournirons du bois pour une nuit. Du bois supplémentaire peut être acheté au Thriftway ou au Mont. Hood Epicerie, les deux sont à un mile sur la route.

* Il y a une échelle raide mezzanine qui mène à la chambre. Non recommandé pour ceux qui ont du mal à grimper.

* Il n'y a pas de micro-ondes et pas de wifi pour le moment.

Secluded peaceful getaway

The moment you walk in the door you feel right at home. The rustic decor is so well done. While the cabin is small, it is laid out well and has just about everything you need. The outdoor fire pit was so nice. We sat around the campfire every night and enjoyed the serene, forested setting. Thanks for the fun stay!

Wonderful, cozy and perfect location

Wonderful cabin, perfect amount of coziness. Perfect place to focus on relaxation, disconnecting from the rat race. And you are close to the slopes on Mt Hood and just down the road from the Skyway, one of our favorite places or eat, baked mac & cheese and a drink, after a day of skiing. Enjoyed the picturesque snow landscape from the cabin picture window and would love to return in the summer!

An Amazing Easy Getaway

I really wanted to leave this review, because the little cabin is absolutely amazing. It's super accessible, not far off the main highway, but manages to feel very secluded and peaceful. I think I sat for an entire hour listening to the fire (in the most stunning stove I've ever seen) and staring out the rear window into the forest. For me, as an able bodied petite 33 year old woman, I had no problem carrying my items for a two night stay up the driveway. It's very short and I feel like some folks might be exaggerating the difficulty. I didn't use the sled, knowing that I would need to carry my items I packed my food in a backpack cooler and clothes in a sturdy tote. I even carried wood log fire starters! The cabin had everything I need to make my meals, aside from an oven. Everything is as portrayed in the photos. I found the stair/ladder to the loft very easy to climb. It wasn't a narrow or tight space. Susan was very nice and responsive. I never met her in person, but she gave me good advice on where to get a couple supplies and helped me find my way when google maps led me astray. I could get some cell reception at the cabin. I came planning to read, but I was able to share some photos of my getaway on social media.

Beautiful cabin

We really enjoyed the cabin and privacy. The only negative comment I would make is accessing the cabin without a 4 wheel drive. We got quite the workout bringing our stuff up a very steep inclined loose rock road. The owner have a plastic boat with a rope to use to lug it up. [We didnt have a four wheel drive] the woman owner was not helpful or accommodating to assist us. They just watched us struggled up three times with wood bundles and coolers, ect. So we thought that was weird. We loved their doggy dog. Sweetest as sweetest could possibly be. MJ and Amanda

I am grateful that you enjoyed your stay and I’m sorry you experienced difficulties getting your belongings up to the cabin. I’m not sure who wrote this review because I offered help to the woman that booked this cabin and she declined. Anyway, it sounds like you had a good time regardless and I’m grateful for that. Everyone that’s reading, yes, you need awd or 4wd to get to the cabin or you will have to park at the road.

My fiancé and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary here playing board games, enjoyed the fire and the beautiful scenery this cabin has to offer! It’s very cute, quaint and quiet! It’s the perfect getaway!

Incredibly cosy mountain oasis!

I can not rave about this little cabin enough! It’s perched on a hill, with windows looking out into the wilderness. Although small in size (plenty big enough for two people), it has all the essentials for your stay. Susan, the property manager was very prompt with answering questions. Wish I could permanently stay here!

Magical romantic getaway

Location, design, styling, cleanliness - everything was perfect! My close friend's boyfriend asked for my help in making their anniversary weekend amazing, and this cabin was exactly what he was looking for (I booked it to help keep it a surprise). It was so romantic, they were engaged before they left! Susan was quick to respond to questions and was helpful with info and recommendations in the area. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Perfect cozy cabin in the mountains!

This cozy little cabin in the mountains was everything that we could have imagined it to be! It’s the perfect location outside of Portland for a nice, relaxing getaway! The place was beautifully decorated, and offered so much privacy with a breathtaking front porch view! We will be recommending this place to all of our friends & we will definitely be back!

I grew up in the Philadelphia area and in 2002, I followed my calling and moved out to Portland, OR. I am a nature lover and enjoy everything that the Pacific Northwest has to offer -- the mountains, unlimited hiking and biking trails, beautiful lakes and rivers. Not to mention the abundance of good IPAs, coffee and delicious food.

Over the years, I camped in several places in the area and always dreamed of owning a cabin near Mt. Hood. In 2008, my dream came true when I purchased my cabin and land in ZigZag. I am very excited to share this magical place with you and hope that you enjoy your time!
