Inspirez-vous des vibrations de la côte nord de TC dans cette magnifique cabane en rondins des années 1940, idéalement située pour toutes les aventures! Dans la matinée, prenez un café et des burritos au café local avant de partir pour une journée de plaisir au soleil. Marchez jusqu'à la plage ou faites du vélo dans le centre-ville pour faire du shopping via le chemin Tart, deux marches. Minutes de randonnée, de kayak, des dunes et des vignobles! Dans l'après-midi, un court trajet en voiture pour découvrir une excellente bière artisanale et gastronomique. Enfin, attrapez un coucher de soleil sur la baie avant de rentrer pour une bonne nuit de sommeil.

☀️ En été, nous avons un séjour minimum de 4 nuits du 27 juin au 7 septembre. 14, s'il vous plaît message si vous avez des questions ou des problèmes pour réserver.

We loved the cabin and the setting. It was clean and all the finishes and details were perfect. The busy road in front of the cabin didn’t even bother us as the location was perfect. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for a great week.

Very nice little cabin for a stay in Traverse City! Place was very clean and well kept. The hot tub was a very nice feature, and the creek running right of the cabin was very scenic as well! Everything inside the cabin was well stocked and we had no issues whatsoever.

Great Little Cabin

While this cabin may be located in a spot that could be considered a busy part of town, it is tucked away behind a privacy fence, trees, and behind a creek, so you feel like you have privacy. Great central location as well to get to all area attractions - downtown, Old Mission Peninsula, the beach, etc.

Great place and great location!

Lauren was great to work with and the cabin was great - exactly as described. we enjoyed the easy to use gas fire place and the hot tub. $8 uber ride to downtown TC to have dinner and drinks.

We had a wonderful experience and stay and Lauren’s cottage! The cottage was very clean, well maintained and very comfortable! The communication with Lauren before our stay was terrific and the check in process was simple. The cottage location right next to Mitchell Creek yet very near downtown Traverse City was ideal for our stay. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Beautiful!!!!

The cottage was so clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for our New Years getaway. The owners were very responsive regarding any questions we had prior to our stay, made sure we made it safely, and thanked us for staying at their property on the day of our departure. We would stay here again, and honestly can’t wait to come back. It was cozy, the hot tub was perfect during the morning snowfall, and the fireplace was the perfect addition to our winter getaway. Highly, highly recommend staying here!!

Lovely cabin next to the state park. Updated and well maintained. The hot tub was a wonderful amenity. Close enough to town to be practical and tucked away enough to feel private. 5/5. Would definitely recommend.

The owner of this property has gone above and beyond to ensure that this property is well maintained and well-stocked for each visit. You couldn't ask for a better location, offering ease to Downtown Areas, and offering less than an hour drive to Sleeping Bear area. Would happily return.

Beautiful place, more than I expected. I surprised my husband with this gem and he was all giddy about seeing the fish in the stream infront of the cabin. Everything was clean, everything was super cute and charming. The fireplace was nice at night after sitting in the hottub. 10/10 would stay again.

Loved this cottage. Super clean. Loved all the details to the amenities. Cottage is super cute with a rustic updated scale. Hammock and stream were very relaxing. Felt like you were out in the deep woods but conveniently located to all the fun stuff... bike/running trail, beach, restaurants, grocery & cherry orchard! Can’t wait to come back!

Was really hoping to use the washer and dryer I did have cloths I brought with me thinking I was able to do them other than that it was a great experience and we will be coming back just hope the washer will work this time that was a bit of an inconvenience it was one of the reason we did pick that place as well besides the hot tub we like to keep our bed dressing clean but thankyou for the great stay.

Great stay in a cozy TC cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! Even before arrival, I was impressed with the friendly and informative communication from the owner. The home and property were exactly as described and pictured in the listing and was just charming! The home had every convenience provided, from coffee to beach towels to dog treats for our two pups! We loved the creek running through the property and used the fire pit and hot tub every evening. I was happy to discover a wonderful rails-to-trails path just a block down the road and enjoyed running and walking our dogs on this trail daily. We felt as if we were in the middle of the north woods on the property but, in reality, were only a couple of miles from downtown Traverse City. Perfect location! I can not recommend this home and this owner highly enough! We had a wonderful weekend and hope to return again soon.

Charming cottage in great location

My husband and I loved our weekend stay at this charming revitalized 1940s cottage in Traverse City! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals for the weekend, the beds were comfy and the living spaces were tastefully adorned. The gas-fired stone fireplace was super easy to use and made the living area very cozy for catching up on our reading. The location was perfect for accessing the VASA Pathway xc ski trails which were about an 8 minutes drive away. After a great time on the trails, the hot tub was the perfect way to relax, and with the falling snow it was magical. Our dog Abby loved going for walks in the woods (state property) directly behind the cabin. In Summer, the cottage would be a great spot from which to access the beach, the TART trails and all that Traverse City has to offer. There is a bit of road noise from 3 Mile Rd, but it wasn't a problem for us. Check-in was a breeze and Lauren was readily available by phone if we needed anything. I highly recommend staying here.

Excellent property and location!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Lauren's place. The reservation process was extremely easy and clear. We had one quick question when we arrived which Lauren answered immediately. The cabin is absolutely spotless...and I mean spotless!! Fluffy towels, very comfortable bed, and all kitchen supplies in perfect order (even the mug handles all faced the same way, a detail I can appreciate :-)). The beautiful stone fireplace (easy-to-use gas) was especially appreciated on the cool, rainy nights. The beautiful babbling creek running through the front yard is such a treat to experience! There were people staying in the other place on the property, but with all the privacy screening that Lauren has set up, we only knew they were there because we saw their car parked. It was no issue at all. The location is less than a block from the TART trail, so very convenient to bike downtown (about 3 miles), or keep going to Suttons Bay (about 17 one way). There is a beach just across the main road, and plenty of places to eat close by, or within a 5 minute car ride to downtown. Overall, we are very happy with our choice to stay at this beautiful cabin!

We're a married couple who shares a love for all things hosting, our two pups, and new adventures. After years of visiting our favorite place, we decided to move from Grand Rapids to Traverse City in the pursuit of happiness. Days were filled with working too many hours and spending too much time apart, so we packed up and began our new journey.

As a team, we started from managing one rental home to owning our own and could not be more grateful for the opportunity to share our love of hosting with our guests.

We believe that no matter whats going on in life, its important to take time away, recharge, find new adventures, and create fond memories. Our mission is to provide the best possible stay in hopes that you and your loved ones are able to experience all of this and more.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We had our eyes on this home the day we walked through the cottage next door. It was owned by the same owners that sold us our 3 bedroom cottage and they wanted to show us the entire retreat they had along Mitchell Creek. They were looking for the perfect owners to eventually own all 3 of their cottages, as they were near and dear to their heart.

It was love at first sight, the rustic charm that represented everything we felt about Northern Michigan. We didn't know how yet, but we knew that we needed to find a way to keep all these beautiful cottages together. In the Spring of 2019 we were able to make that happen and it's been a dream come true!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Our favorite thing about this home is that it brings you back in time, to a simpler time. While the cottage is private, it's in the heart of everything, which makes it great for guests. Stepping into the home though, makes you wonder what it must have been like back in the 1940s when there was nothing else around.

Cozy up next the fireplace in the winter or sit creek side in front of a campfire in the summer, it represents the best that Northern Michigan has to offer!
