Inspirez-vous des vibrations de la côte nord de TC dans ce cottage récemment rénové, idéalement situé pour toutes les aventures! Dans la matinée, prenez un café et des burritos au café local, avant de partir pour une journée de plaisir au soleil. Marchez jusqu'à la plage ou faites une balade à vélo dans le centre-ville pour faire du shopping via le chemin Tart, deux marches. Minutes de randonnée, de kayak, des dunes et des vignobles! Dans l'après-midi, un court trajet en voiture pour découvrir une excellente bière artisanale et gastronomique. Enfin, attrapez un coucher de soleil sur la baie avant de rentrer pour une bonne nuit de sommeil!

Fall Weekend

Great place to stay while we were in TC for a soccer tournament. Loved the layout and there was plenty of room. We also enjoyed the privacy outside. Our dog loved the surrounding nature and the creek as well as being able to walk to the state park to play in the sand & water.

Great stay with family

The property is great! It was listed accurately and was very accommodating. The kitchen had everything that was needed to cook and enjoy! We loved the hot tub and fire pit. It was a great stay at a very conveniently located, cozy home.

unique getaway

Overall the stay was great - place was neat, well organized, and everything was very easy and accessible. Super unique location, but the fence made it feel very quiet and private and away from everything, which was exactly what we were looking for. Great to be so close to downtown but feel like you were out in nature. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something unique and quaint but only a few short miles to downtown TC.

Fall/Winter Weekend Getaway

My sisters, mom and I went up for a quick weekend in Traverse City and this house was perfect for us! Despite being close to town, you felt secluded and the yard space was beautiful with wooded area and river right out back! Great location and excellent communication, would definitely come back and spend even more time.

Best long weekend getaway!!

We were wowed as soon as we opened the door. So clean, spacious and it has everything we needed. The hot tub was awesome and also very clean. It was close to everything. We did some hiking at sleeping bear dunes and had a wonderful dinner at the Artisan. The lake and the views exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back!!

Wish we lived closer!

Loved Traverse City and the house! Smartly decorated, cute and comfortable. 5 of us and our little pooch had plenty of room. Proximity to the beach and downtown was awesome. Highest compliment I can give is WHEN we come back to TC, we will stay here again!

Great spot for a family trip to TC!

My husband had a work conference at the Grand Traverse Resort and we decided to turn it into a long-weekend in TC with our family of 5 and 2 dogs (kids aged 7-11). The location of this property was perfect - only about 8 min drive to downtown, 3-4 min to Toms grocery (even closer to Costco), and 8 min to the resort for his meetings. Plus, only a 3-4 min walk to the closest beach! It is right next to the airport, which worried me a little, but I really didn't notice any airplane noise. As mentioned by others, it is on a fairly busy road, but there is a large privacy fence in place which makes it so you can't even tell (other than a little road noise at busy times of the day). The house is right on a gorgeous little creek, with a beautiful view from the living room. Crystal clear water, and my kids had a great time watching the fish and ducks from the bridge & along the riverbank. The home itself was comfortable and had everything we needed. I appreciate the fact that they included lots of the little things that other properties make you buy on your own (paper towels, tissues, toilet paper, dog waste baggies, etc). They had easy access to several washer and drier units in the basement. Just a few small things that weren't deal breakers - the sliding door outside from the main bedroom was really hard to lock, and while the heating did work, we had to crank it way up to get the place to feel warm enough. But nothing that was really a big deal. Overall, a fantastic stay!

Everything and more

This was our very first family vacation and this rental fit our needs so perfectly from the clean uncluttered indoors to the gleaming stream and backyard hiking trail. Lauren was amazing to work with and we couldn't have had a better experience. I highly recommend this property if you're looking for great beach and nature access and a short drive to downtown. Perfect in every way!!

Amazing stay

Our family of five had an amazing time at this property! The kids loved exploring the creek, we enjoyed countless games of Uno, the amenities were beyond what we expected and the hot tub was perfect for relaxing after all our day excursions. Plenty of parking (even though we only had one vehicle) and the availability of laundry facilities saved us a few times! The toad noise was more than we expected but I’m assuming it’s because of the construction on the main drag which I’m sure will be finished soon. This is more than a ‘home away from home’. This property is way more than we expected and just what we needed!

Great location and space

This was the perfect stay for anyone who wants to be close to downtown, wineries, the beach, etc. Most things we wanted to do were within a ten min drive and at most, a twenty min drive. The house was clean and smelled great, dog friendly, which is a huge plus. They even had treats and poop bags available. Hot tub was large and well heated with beautiful string lights. The creek has many fish right beside the house. A perfect stay with plenty of room for the family and pets, great accessibility, WiFi, etc. Definitely would stay here again!

We're a married couple who shares a love for all things hosting, our two pups, and new adventures. After years of visiting our favorite place, we decided to move from Grand Rapids to Traverse City in the pursuit of happiness. Days were filled with working too many hours and spending too much time apart, so we packed up and began our new journey.

As a team, we started from managing one rental home to owning our own and could not be more grateful for the opportunity to share our love of hosting with our guests.

We believe that no matter whats going on in life, its important to take time away, recharge, find new adventures, and create fond memories. Our mission is to provide the best possible stay in hopes that you and your loved ones are able to experience all of this and more.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We purchased this home after a long search, to find a unique space that embodies what we love so much about Northern Michigan. While still being in a great location, central to anything someone would want to do in the Traverse City area.

Nature is always one of the most important things we look for in a home, as we're definitely outdoors people. The balance of finding that with still being centrally located isn't easy. When we came across this cozy cottage, we just know that this was the one, nature in the city!

It truly represents Northern Michigan in any season, but you're still so close to anything else that you'd want to do. :)

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Mitchell Creek is absolutely what sold us on this home. It's amazing that you're next the State Park beach, the Tart Trail, and right in town. However the scenery reflects the secluded feel of Northern Michigan.

We stayed in the home for 6 months in the Fall of 2018 to the Spring of 2019 while we remodeled it. Watching the wildlife throughout the different seasons was unreal, we couldn't believe the variety of wildlife on the property, while still being in the city. From the Salmon running up the creek in the fall, to the Steelhead in the Spring, Mallard ducks mating, a northern mink fishing after a heavy rain, or the deer that would come almost right up to the window! It's a very special place, and you never know what you might see!
