We love Bella Beach, and visit regularly with friends and our young adult kids (sharing one rental); this time it was just us and Sea Star suited perfectly! (next time we’ll bring our dog along ) The patio, especially, made our stay special with its comfy Adirondacks and the hot tub - so close to the surf, but cozy and private thanks to the broad rose hedge/blackberries and the strategically placed section of fence. We read, played cards, walked the beach, enjoyed morning coffee and sunset cocktails on the patio, watched an old movie … the very definition of respite!

Perfect Escape

The location of the property was just perfect. The quality of the property was amazing. It was so nice to have everything we needed. The property was just what we needed and allowed us to truly escape and relax over spring break. I miss waking up to those waves already.

5 Days of Pure Relaxation

This property is beautifully located in a charming & quiet community, located just off my favorite Highway "The 101" on beautiful Bella Beach along the Oregon Coast. We were able to view seals & whales right off the deck which was quite entertaining & exciting. We also enjoyed long walks along the beach, & watching the evening sunsets. The beach house was clean, nicely maintained & beautifully decorated, We highly recommend staying here and we plan on returning very soon.

Fantastic getaway!

This unit is absolutely perfect for a small family, or two couples. Two separate bedrooms with their own bathrooms is super convenient. Being right on the beach with that fantastic hot tub, well, life could hardly get sweeter than that. Don't miss out on going to Otis Cafe for breakfast, and definitely do not miss out on getting a piece of pie. The BEST PIE I'VE EVER HAD. In fact, we stopped on our way out of town and picked up a whole marionberry pie. We couldn't resist!Don't hesitate to book this lovely beach property. You will not be disappointed!

Great location! Very clean!

Awesome rental! The only bummer was the ban on fires on the beach. Not the renter’s fault, but I wish the listing would’ve advised that there may be a ban. One of the filters we used when deciding on the property was the fire pit. Other than that, it was awesome!

The property was very nice, well taken care of. Great beach access. Only issues was the key pad entry. The code was not complete. Needed a check on the end. Luckily someone was in the office to answer our call. Would like to go back soon.

Bella Beach

Lovely, cozy place. Beautiful view of the ocean and nice hot tub. Comfortable beds. However, the key pad on the door was difficult to work most times. It caused stress every time we tried to open it. Also, we were told to move our car even though we parked exactly where we were told to. Our car was small enough for the space. The HOA was a hassle in this regard.

Relaxing Retreat

The house has a tasteful decor. The living room furniture was most comfortable and had plenty of room for the four of us to sit in front of the fireplace and clear viewing of the TV that is hidden away in a cabinet. There are great views of the water from the living room, dining area and kitchen. The bedroom mattresses were very comfortable.The patio has four very comfortable Adirondack Chairs. There is a very clean Hot Tub on the patio. We thoroughly enjoyed tubbing in the evening while gazing at the sunset and then stars. There was a stack of clean beach/hot tub towels. The beach was not overly crowded as it is for the neighborhood to enjoy. On Sunday morning we had a delicious French breakfast at the neighborhood French bakery/cafe. We will return to this property for our future coast get away trips. We VRBO quite often and this property will be on our saved list of favorite properties.

Great location but...

This is a great location but a few things to take note of...first, the space is in the basement of a 3 story building - not a huge issue but it wasn't clear that we were renting a basement; second, the picture clearly shows a fire pit which we were excited to use but after booking was told that the fire pit wasn't to be used; lastly, again after the booking and a few days before arrival we were told that the oven and fireplace were not operational - they did bring in a toaster over but again, like the fire pit, we were excited to sit together with a fireplace going in the evenings. When I brought me concerns up and asked for a break in the rental fee I was refused...it would have gone a long way to offer a small token off the rental...also, if you want to sit and watch a movie this may not be the place for you as the tv's are really small. Overall, a great location on the beach with a nice place but the management attitude was not warm and fuzzy at all.

Beautiful view close to the beach

We were disappointed with the late check in. This was an expensive rental. We were told we could not check in to the unit on time because the previous renters left it messier than usual but we were at the rental on the patio when I got the text from you and the cleaning people did show up for almost two hours. We felt hurt and lied to.

I chose this property because it appeared to all be on one level. upon arrival there were alot of stairs down to the front door. The apartment was beautiful and the view awesome. beach access was very close. would like to have had a box of kleenex and maybe 2 Keurig pods available.

Bella Fabulous - Mostly

Bella Beach is a long time family favorite and our recent visit was the 16th time we have rented a home in the community. The house was decent although showing signs of wear and tear. Screens were missing from the windows, the slider was rusted and hard to open, the slider screen door was damaged and the outdoor BBQ gas tank was empty when we went to grill. The location, right on the beach, the sunsets and unobstructed ocean view made up for the lack of attention to repairs and amenities in the property. Unfortunately it was not the relaxing stay we were hopping for because, when a family arrived occupying the property directly above us on the second night of our stay, the parents sent their 3 young boys (all under 10 years old) to use the hot-tub designated for our property only. The boys were not accompanied by their parents but stated that their parents said they could use out hot tub. When we politely asked them to leave they proceeded to use the hot-tub of the guests adjacent to us without their permission and were asked to leave when it was discovered they were their. This clearly enraged the parents as the mother marched down to our property and aggressively confronted us while her husband shouted at us from the balcony above. We calmly informed them that they were not able to use our hot tub (not only was it designated for our use only, there was also Covid to consider) and when we refused to engage further the mother returned to the property (above us) and stood on the balcony with her husband and kids and spat on us while we ate, threw sand in our food as we sat outside, smoked marijuana, played loud obnoxious music etc. All of this continued from 6 pm until around 10pm when they set of their fire alarm 4 times and stood on the deck laughing and shouting at us. Then at 11:30pm an argument broke out between the husband and wife which carried on until we contacted the property management around midnight. Unfortunately the 2 remaining days of our stay were ruined by the continued harassment by these guests in the property above us including more spitting, sand throwing, stomping on their floor (our ceiling) and other obnoxious carrying on. We will definitely stay at Bella Beach again however we will never stay in a property with guests above or below us given this experience. We will always choose a standalone home in the future. The Property Managers did what they could however these people should have been asked to leave.

Wonderful for travel with Poodle

We're always looking for top-notch lodging that allows our standard poodle to stay with us. The Sea Star is luxurious enough to justify its price tag -with its gorgeous ocean view, patio and private hot tub- but also has a relaxed feel suited to travelers who with pets and children. We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights there and will likely be back.

Great location, but small and expensive

We spent three nights at this property. It is located on a small bluff (perhaps 40 feet) directly overlooking the ocean. There is easy beach access is via some stairs just a few feet away. It has a nice patio for sitting, and a fire pit (which is pretty worn out). The hot tub is on the patio and has an ocean view. The patio is quite close to another unit. Fortunately our neighbors were friendly people, so it wasn't a problem. But I can imagine such close proximity could cause problems under different circumstances. The unit is also below another, second-floor unit. That didn't prove a problem for us, but, again, I can imagine it could be a problem with different people. The unit is quite small. There are two bedrooms. One is barely bigger than the bed. The other is somewhat larger. Each bedroom has an attached bathroom. There is no other bathroom in the unit. So if someone is using the couch to sleep, they have to go into someone's bedroom to use the bathroom. I don't know if the property description clearly explained that situation, but it came as a surprise to me. The kitchen and living room is one, not-very-large room. It is a pretty tight fit for five people. There is one small TV in the living room. It is located in an inconvenient spot. There is an even smaller TV in one of the bedrooms. Fortunately, we weren't there to watch TV. The selection of available channels was excellent--way better than normal for a rental. Working with the property manager was fine. All communications were timely and helpful. One drawback was that we could not get into the property until 5 p.m., which is later than any other property I've ever rented. The best parts were the outstanding view and the easy beach access. The bathroom situation was odd, and could have been really awkward if we weren't all family. Finally, it's pretty expensive for what you get. I've rented other places at the coast that were much larger and cost the same or less. This property comes with lots of fees, so the daily rate is just the start. Once fees are added into the equation, the average daily cost exceeds $500 (at least in the summer), which is a lot for a two-bedroom unit.
