Bienvenue dans notre maison de montagne spacieuse et pourtant si confortable, surnommée affectueusement «Mountain Mama's House». Profitez d'une vue imprenable sur la forêt nationale d'Arapaho tout en écoutant les eaux tumultueuses de Chicago Creek. Vous vous sentirez niché dans les montagnes tout en ayant un accès facile au centre-ville d'Idaho Springs, situé à seulement 4 minutes de route de la maison. Le rez-de-chaussée offre une cuisine à aire ouverte à aire ouverte, parfaite pour prendre un repas en famille ou entre amis. La cuisine est exceptionnellement bien garnie (cafetière Cuisinart, grille-pain à 4 tranches, four micro-ondes, mixeur et une mijoteuse pour démarrer!). Après les repas, sortez dans le salon pour lire un livre, jouer à un jeu ou regarder un film ou un événement sportif à la télévision. Il y a deux chambres avec une salle de bain complète à l'étage. Et, il y a deux chambres avec une salle de bain complète en bas. Le plan d'étage de cette maison est parfait pour les familles nombreuses, les familles multiples, les mariages et les retraites de petites entreprises.

Vous ne voulez pas être à l'intérieur? Parfait! La terrasse privée enveloppante offre un espace de vie extérieur pour boire votre café du matin, prendre vos repas à l'extérieur ou savourer un verre de vin ou une bière artisanale locale après une journée complète de découverte. Imaginez-vous assis sur l'une des chaises Adirondack, les yeux fermés, bourdonnant dans l'air frais de la montagne et écoutant les oiseaux.

Cette maison est située à Idaho Springs, où l’or a été découvert pour la première fois à CO en 1859. Le centre-ville a conservé une grande partie de son charme occidental et occidental, en honorant son riche patrimoine minier avec des musées et des sites historiques soigneusement préservés, notamment la mine d'or Argo et le moulin. Love the hot tub!

Such a beautiful view sitting in the hot tub! Everything was clean and nice. We were surprised there weren't any garbage bags and needed to go buy them along with aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and toilet paper. It is absolutely necessary to have a 4WD or AWD at this property in the winter. While it was noted in the description, AND we did rent a 4WD, it is extremely steep and icy getting to the property. If there would have been snow that week, we would have been very challenged. Otherwise, the location was a quick jaunt to Idaho Springs and was fairly convenient to Loveland Ski Area. I would love to come back in the summer!

Cabin in the Woods

Love being a short drive to all shops and restaurants in Idaho Springs! Plenty of room for our 3 families. House is supplied with everything you need down to shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms. Hot tub didn’t work but Bryan was very helpful. My suggestions for improvement would be to add another couch in the living room and have a real fireplace or wood stove.

Nice house in Idaho Springs

The house was overall nice and has a lot of room. We stayed with 5 adults and 5 kids, and all of us had plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked, and the table had enough room for us all to fit. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not in working order, which we didn't know until we informed the host that it was not very hot on our last full day. It would have been nice to know the hot tub would not be available in advance. The driveway and the road up to the house are very steep (as noted in the listing), so make sure you have the right shoes to walk up and 4WD. Overall, it was a nice place to escape the city.

Great place for a group get-together

Very comfortable, large home that was wonderful for our family get-together. There was lots of room to be together and to spread out. Hot tub was great as were the decks surrounding the home. We loved how the kitchen was outfitted so well for a big group. It was nice to be so close to town yet have the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere.

Idaho Springs wedding stay

The house was in the perfect location for my son’s wedding at Blackstone ranch. The host was very generous in accommodating our requests. There was confusion and we were not given the correct entry code but the host was timely in responding and correcting the situation. The inside of the house was clean, we did need to sweep animal droppings from the entry outside, but it is a somewhat remote location so could be expected. Just slightly off putting as your first look. Once swept away, we did not notice it again. I would recommend this location for wedding guests.

10 year anniversary get-away

Great property, wonderful spot tucked away in a small milling town outside of Denver. Perfect for any family, couple, friends escape get-away. The property is huge and suited for large groups. The ammenities were perfect, the location was good and the nature in the backyard was even better. We would recommend and we would definitely be back!

Perfect Location

We booked this property as it was just minutes from Blackstone Rivers Ranch, where my daughter's wedding was held. In retrospect, it was a bit expensive for essentially what was used for just sleeping, but the proximity was worth it. It was great to have immediate family all together. The property manager was great to work with and was very responsive to all communication.

Mountain Mama’s House

We had a great stay at Mountain Mama’s house. The home was clean, well kept, and only 5 minutes from our nephew’s wedding venue. We enjoyed sitting out on the wrap around deck. The huge kitchen was well equipped and was another great gathering place. Lottie and Bryan were great to work with and gave us several suggestions for sites to see in our free time. We recommend it and would stay there again.

Good location, but house was underwhelming.

We stayed at this house for two nights for a family wedding. It was extremely close to the wedding venue, so convenience was great. The house itself had an adequate number of beds and bathrooms, but the linens were not great. I’ve never stayed in a rental before that did not have all white sheets and towels. Several towels had stains on them. The carpets were matted and dirty and the bathroom on the lower level was extremely sketchy. We were also there when it was very warm outside and we had difficulty opening the windows for ventilation. For the price point, we were definitely disappointed in our stay.

Great space. Comfortable beds. Worked out great for our family. Good location to town and highway. The hot tub was great but unfortunate it’s up the steps with snow and ice on the steps. After one fall, we did find a shovel on the back/side deck. Two suggestions - salt and/or shovel the walk and steps. - there were no hand towels in the kitchen.

Great mountain getaway for Thanksgiving

Spent Thanksgiving here with family of 9 (6 adults, 2 children, 1 infant). Easy drive from Denver, but enough to still feel like a Getaway. Luckily, since we live in Denver we could bring pack n play and high chair for baby. Host did drop off a stroller for our use and a brand new turkey roasting pan which was very kind! Nice cozy place with just what we needed. Gas fireplace kept living room very warm and cozy! Play room was nice touch for kids. Lots of stairs in home and icey road & driveway but to be expected in the mountains! Pretty views from windows. Really enjoyed our time.

So Glad We Booked Mountain Mama’s House!

What a fantastic girls weekend we had at Mountain Mama’s House in Idaho, Springs! There were 6 of us and it was just exactly what we wanted and needed. The owners were very responsive, accommodating, and welcoming! We were a group of old friends who hadn’t seen each other in a few years so we spent lots of time reconnecting and catching up in the large fully-equipped kitchen and dining area, the comfortable living room and the awesome deck outside! We all slept really well in the comfy beds, had plenty of space, appreciated the new, fluffy towels in the bathrooms and owners kindly provided extra conveniences for guests to use like hairdryer, shampoo/conditioner, a welcome note/treats, info about the area and detailed instructions regarding the house/check out procedures, contact info, etc. The house feels like you’re way up in the mountains, but it’s less than a 5 minute drive to town! We just loved it and highly recommend!

Closer mountain weekend

My family of 6 (+ our mature, low shed, family dog), stayed for an extended weekend in August 2023 for family bonding time with adult children. The house was nicely accommodated, clean and comfortable. We cooked together, the kitchen was perfect for us. We played games, the living room was welcoming, and we slept well, the beds were lovely. We didn't use the grill or enjoy the patio furniture much but it seemed like a nice thing to have. The floor plan is unique and can be well situated for families that may need to spread out a little. One full bathroom is pretty tiny (think full squeezed into a powder room) but it was clean and we appreciated that more than anything. I could see it be a great place for two small families. The location has neighbors, and the scenery is a little limited but we rarely saw anyone so it was ideal to feel like we were getting away from the city. We would definitely stay again, we love your home and appreciate the hosts for all the details.

Great fit for wedding at Blackstone ranch!.

We were a family of 7 in town for my daughter’s wedding. At Blackstone ranch. The location was excellent. We were all comfortable with the sleeping arrangements . The kitchen was nicely stocked. TV room clean and comfortable. Hot tub worked well also. We loved hanging out on the deck having drinks and watching the wildlife . There is definitely room for improvement. A few issues: If you are a senior or have mobility issues, take care. Access to all the bedrooms takes a set of extremely steep stairs. The entry also is steep and has steps. Outside lighting would help. The bathroom downstairs really needs to be remodeled. It’s old and cramped. The outlets in the downstairs twin bedroom did not work and to show this point the reading lamp was left there unplugged. More attention to details and this property would be just right.

Good Idaho Springs Spot

This house is one of few available in the area, especially if you have a bigger group. There were 8 of us in town for a wedding, so it seemed like the perfect spot. We also needed space for our dog, which was available when we book 9 months in advance, but not sure they still allow pets. There were even fewer places that allowed for pets. For those reasons, and the location, it would have been a great place to spend two nights. Unfortunately, some bizarre natural phenomenon occurred on our first night, depositing thousands upon thousands of gnats throughout the house. It ruined our stay, as nothing could be done for the infestation. In addition to the gnat infestation, one of the two showers wasn't working upon arrival. The owner sent someone out about 4 hours later to fix it. I'll say, the two showers once working were a bit cumbersome and outdated. If you have elderly guests, just FYI. Also, all bedrooms require a flight of stairs or more. Again, just FYI. Everything else was suitable for our stay, though the pictures make the house look a little more luxurious than it is. The pricing may have come down since we booked, but I've never paid so much for that quality, despite the size. We didn't try the hot tub or anything in the kitchen other than the coffee maker, given our short stay.

Needs improvement

Overall it was a pleasant place to stay for the week. We just felt that for the money, the owners / management company should reinvest the funds into needed updates. The ad boasts a cozy fireplace that doesn't work. The half bath on the main level appears to need electrical work that hasn't been addressed, so we couldn't use the light switch to turn on the light. I stead we had to stumble in and locate the switch on the lamp they placed on the countertop. There were no hand towels in the bathrooms. There were no trash cans in the bathrooms. The fan in the basement bedroom was missing two light bulbs and the fan blades were caked with dust. There was no cable / satellite TV which was pretty frustrating to our sports loving group. What I paid for just one week would have paid for cable service for an entire year or more. The worst part - the oven didn't work and it ruined our Thanksgiving dinner and we weren't able to make a cake for my husband's birthday the next day. Here are my positives - if the oven worked, the kitchen was a great size for making a big meal, and we all loved the comfortable living room.

Wedding Celebration Weekend

“Mountain Mama” house is a charming property and served my family well while in Idaho Springs celebrating our daughter’s wedding. The owner is very accessible and accommodating. The master bed is extremely comfortable - a nice oasis on the second floor. The wrap around deck is quite lovely. The furnishings are cozy and inviting. The big kitchen accommodates a good sized group. Really nice appliances, too. Although there are 4 bathrooms listed only 2 are full baths. 2 are powder rooms. A bit challenging for 7 people to shower while getting ready to attend a wedding but we made it work! I must point out a few problems though... The outdoor lighting needs attention - although there are many outdoor solar and permanent lighting fixtures to illuminate the driveway and entrances (2) to the home very few actually are in working condition and so it is actually dangerous to navigate entering and exiting the property at night. Sadly, the fireplace was not working. Also, several light bulbs in the home on all four levels were not working. The sink disposal is broken, along with very slow draining kitchen sinks. Additionally, essential seasonings like salt and pepper were just empty containers in the cupboard. Lastly, the whole house could use a deep cleaning. To be clear, we worked around the above mentioned “problems” and truly enjoyed our weekend.

Close to Blackstone Rivers Ranch

Our primary purpose in renting this property was to be close to Blackstone Rivers Ranch and to have space for the bride and bridesmaid to have their hair and make-up done for our daughter's wedding. It served both of those purposes extremely well. In honesty and fairness, I am going to list the positive attributes of this property and the areas where I feel there is huge opportunity for improvement. PROS: All Beds were very clean and comfortable! Kitchen/appliances are nice and large and have plenty of room for all your snacks/drinks/food, etc....Decor is attractive. Wifi is great! Closets are huge! Parking is good! IMPROVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES: Kitchen flooring directly in front of the sink from end to end and about 4-5 ft out, needs the sub-floor to be replaced. Extremely squeaky. All carpet needs replaced. Family Room TV should be bigger, needs to have an adjustable bracket for moving and there need to be 2 more comfortable chairs added on each side of the sofa table in front of the large window. Not enough comfortable seating. (We had 7 adults) Bathroom availability was misrepresented. There are 2 Full Baths and 2 Half Baths. NOT 4 Full Baths. Additionally, the 2 Full Baths need to be completely remodeled. The basement bath isn't workable for adults. The upstairs bathroom tub/shower is way too deep and is hard to get in and out of. Also, the flooring and frame around it doesn't seem secure. Outdoor lighting from the house to the driveway is very much insufficient! I am surprised no one has sustained a serious injury when arriving late or leaving early! We did both and had to provide our own lighting to ensure no one got hurt. Can't imagine doing it with kids! The wrap around deck structure if very suspect! The men in our group are very construction savvy and wouldn't allow any of us to go anywhere on it, except for where the furniture is. The railing is loose as well. Finally, our guys walked up to inspect the progress on the hot tub and were appalled at what they saw. They believe you need to seek out a structural engineer to review the foundation of the hot tub and the underlying structure of the deck. Bryan- You were great to work with and I am only sharing this with the hope that you will get these items addressed before something catastrophic occurs. All the best!!!

Family Fun

The house is fabulous and wonderful for families to hang together. We loved using the hot tub, the patio with the out door sofa and table was well used. The kitchen/dining table was perfect for a large gathering for meals and playing games. The only problem I saw was...we weren't there long enough!

Things to work on. 1. Trundle bed lower pull out wasn't a bed it was the box spring for the bed above. If a mattress for the box spring was around we didn't find it. (But also didn't look super hard for it). 2. Main floor bathroom lights didn't work. 3. Hot tub was extremely dirty. Hot tub cover is falling apart which you guys must know about because it's jimmy rigged to stay in place. Stepping stones closest to the deck aren't secure and nowhere near level. (This is all coming from a group of sub 40yr old males. A bunch of elderly mountain mama's would probably have a few extra words on the matter. Possibly a law suit with those stepping stones. Takeaway: $1700 for two nights seems out of touch for the place we saw. Really not worth it for a dirt hot tub which seems to be a well advertised perk from you guys. We'll likely look for something new in the future.
