"Retour Ă  la plage!"

"Retour à la plage" est un chalet de style bungalow pittoresque avec 3 chambres et 2 bains. Situé dans l'un des derniers quartiers de la "vieille Floride" Il est à seulement 200 pas de la plage.

Le quartier d'Indian Pass n'a pas de gratte-ciel ni de condos. C'est un endroit pour profiter de belles plages, baignade, faune, pĂȘche au surf et dĂ©tente. VĂ©los, voiturettes de golf et longues promenades sont la norme. Rouler sur la plage en voiture ou en voiturette de golf est autorisĂ© avec un permis dĂ©livrĂ© par les bureaux du comtĂ© de Gulf situĂ©s Ă  Port St. Joe. Une rampe publique pour bateaux se trouve Ă  1 mile de la maison. Une douche extĂ©rieure, une station de nettoyage de poisson et un gril Ă  gaz simplifient la vie Ă  la plage. Le coucher de soleil sur la plage est toujours magnifique

La maison est de plain-pied sans marches. Il dort confortablement de 8 à 12 personnes. La chambre principale contient un lit king size. Deux autres chambres ont chacune un lit queen size. Le salon a un canapé-lit et une arriÚre-salle abrite la laveuse et la sécheuse, un lit gigogne et une chaise-lit simple. Les draps et les serviettes sont fournis.

Nous nous sommes rencontrĂ©s sur une plage et nous nous sommes mariĂ©s il y a plus de cinquante ans et nous sommes revenus Ă  la plage parce que nous l'aimons tellement. D'oĂč le nom "Back To The Beach"

This marks our fourth consecutive year staying at this location. It is a remarkably spacious and comfortable accommodation. Our entire family thoroughly enjoys it, and our four-legged companions equally appreciate the amenities. The area offers exceptional crabbing and scalloping opportunities.. looking forward to next year!

We had a 3 week stay at Indian Pass in Back to the Beach. We absolutely loved our time there. The house was great and it felt like home. It had everything we needed and more. I can’t think of anything that would have made our stay any better.

Great wat to celebrate our 26th anniversary!

A perfect example of "old Florida" living. Comfortable, well furnished, and certainly spacious for two. With just 200 steps to the white sand beach this property is in a great location. We definitely intend to return. Loved our stay here.

Spring vacation

This is the second time we have stayed here. It is an older home but very clean and fits our needs perfectly. I messaged owner and responded within 30 minutes and was so kind in answering my request. We have stayed in several homes on the Pass and this is always a pleasant trip. Highly recommend.

Comfortable but old

The house is comfortable but old. Built in the late 50’s or early 60’s. Has been added to a couple of times. No dishwasher or disposal. However there’s lots of space in the kitchen for prepping meals and a nice dining area. Short walk to the beach. We couldn’t find an instruction book so we had to guess on what we were supposed to do at check out.

The only good thing about this was the location. The grill was filthy it took an over hour to burn the grease off. It wasn’t as clean as I would have liked as upon arrival swept up sand and dead bugs. We have stayed in this area many times and this was the first time I wasn’t completely satisfied. I think it would be better suited for a bunch of guys going to fish. But as far as communication it was wonderful and it being a single level would be great for older or impaired people. Also I would get pest control too

No more beach

We have stayed at Fred's place countless times and have made amazing memories but the beach that is 200 steps away is currently completely eroded. It is gone. We rented a golf cart to carry our beach gear down and the beach between S Palm and S Seminole was impassable/not driveable during our stay. Water was all the way up to the dunes. The walking access was unsafe off S Palm to the beach. Like jumping off a 5-6' sand cliff. Some families set up directly on the dunes which will only cause more erosion and cause less protection to the homes in the area. So, we had to load up our beach gear every single day and drive to a public beach at the Cape. The house itself was fine. Same as always. But the lack of beach access left what he hoped would be a relaxing trip for these parents exhausted with 5 in our group leaving early. We stayed here in September and the beach was fine. But, it is gone for now and I have no idea when it will return. The water is so high that I don't understand how adding sand could help. We love this community but I feel other people are entitled to know what to expect so I am sharing our experience. I'd love to know when it is fixed. I could not find anything in the local news or social media that discussed the condition of the beach at Indian Pass. I would have certainly made other plans.

Back to the Beach was great!!

We enjoyed our vacation here! This was a new area of Florida and we loved it. Beach was a short walk from the house. The house was provided with all the cooking utensils you could need. Thanks for the memories!!

This is actually the second time we have stayed in this house, the first being a couple years ag over fall break. I knew what to expect and for the most part the house was very much the same. But we did run into several issues this time. Overall, items are disorganized and several areas are in disrepair. There was a lot of extra bedding but no twin sheets for the trundle bed. Not a big deal. But a couple big issues we did run across that I've attempted to discuss with the host who did respond but did not act on in any way. The first came when I was trying to remove a towel that I hung on a nail outside under the carport. I actually got an electrical jolt. My dad, who is an electrician was able to look a bit and saw that the wires are not properly grounded. This is the area where it appears a golf cart is charged. I communicated this with the host and received no response. The second just has to do with the water. I understand that might not be under control but when we did a load of white clothes in the washer, they all came out tinged pink which is the same color that we saw in the sinks and in the bathtubs. I don't have to do laundry while on vacation so just knowing that ahead of time would have been fine. I did bring these concerns to the host but don't feel like they were resolved in any way. We love the location of this house but unfortunately we definitely would not stay here again.

Another wonderful stay

A wonderful home away from home
