EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED!
From the moment we walked in, we new it was going to be a great weekend! My Husband and I needed a fast weekend away, so we found this gem on VRBO. Pulling up to cottage with all the snow, was not a problem. Driveway was nicely plowed. Once in cottage we notice it was nicely warmed up ready for our arrival. The newly remodeled kitchen and living space was perfectly decorated and freshly cleaned. Everything you could need in the kitchen was there. Bedrooms had fresh sheets and quilts. Walked out on to ice to inquire if the ice fishing was good. Fishermen said lots of fish being caught. Also walked down to end of street and saw a lot of wildlife, including beavers busy building. Close to many lovely towns, for fast day trips. We will be back and highly recommended to others! Thank You Owners for a wonderful weekend!
Excellent weekend away!
This place is WONDERFUL! They have thought of everything you could possibly need. The view is stunning! There's nothing like waking up to the sunrise over the water. The decor is so cool and well thought out.
We had a great weekend getaway at this beautiful cottage! We stayed with our daughter, another couple and their daughter; both children just under 2 years old. I have to say, it is a great place to stay!! As soon as you walk in the door you feel comfortable, no time needed to adjust to "someone else's home." They literally thought of everything here, from having a washer and dryer to "beverage" holders by the fire, from the kayaks to having a tv in the garage... We did a little kayaking, had a fire, enjoyed the lake view and took the kids to the nearby park(within walking distance). And the decor is PERFECT!! This is a great place to stay!
Recently stayed in this cute cabin with our 3 youngest (7rs- 13 yrs). It is decorated very nice and they had all the pans, dishes and cookware needed. Everyone had a great time! Plenty of room for the 5 of us and all the amenities we needed. The washer and dryer was a huge plus as were having the 2 kayaks. The view from the master bedroom was fantastic! Close enough to Traverse that we went in 3 times as well as a day trip up to Petoskey. Kalkaska really had everything one would need with 2 grocery stores, gas stations, fast food and a very nice fruit/veggie market, Cherry St. Market. The temps were in the 80's and 9-'s but there were fans in the bedroom room, allowing for a comfortable night sleep. My kids played in the water every day and I had to make them get out even when it got dark. It's just a short walk from the cabin down about 10 steps to the water. The fire-pit is a nice designated area with tree stump stools, they even have seat cushions to put on them if desired and drink holders next to them The closets allow plenty of storage space and there is even a TV in the master bedroom. DVD player included and nice selection of movies too. We brought all of our supplies but there were things to get you started in case you forgot an item such as paper products, dish soap etc. Just an overall great family vacation week at this cute cabin!!
What an awesome getaway cottage. Beautiful view of Lake Manistee especially from the main bedroom. It was fun for the kids especially with the kayaks that were included. Very clean and nicely decorated and it had everything we needed. Definitely recommend this cottage!
