We really enjoyed our stay for our anniversary. It is a very cozy place to stay and pretty much all we needed as far as dishes, etc was there. Would highly recommend. I would just warn anyone who would want to stay that cell service is pretty scarce throughout the whole region, but that doesn't reflect on the cabin or the owner at all. Just something to be aware of. Great place to stay!
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
Gf & I were already 3 hours into driving to the cabin, when host called to tell me AC wasn't working (mid July, Temps were in the upper 90s), & that we could reschedule a different weekend. I told him it wasn't possible - we both had already taken that day (Friday) off from work, & had hired a sitter for our children for the weekend. The host asked if I wanted to buy an AC & install it, then he'd reimburse me at a later time. I told him I didn't want to spend a portion of my vacation shopping around for AC in an area I was unfamiliar with, then spend extra money I didn't have buying an AC, then spending time installing the AC. It was supposed to be a vacation not a day working in HVAC. So, being that we were already halfway into our 6 hour drive, used PTO, hired a sitter, I suggested that he just reduce the stay of our visit (I had already booked & paid for this trip months prior). He said that it wouldn't be a problem. He'd reimburse me a portion of our stay.Well it's October & I have not yet heard from host, nor been reimbursed a single penny.Cabin was like a sauna. We planned to spend the entire Saturday hiking but we didn't get much sleep friday night due to how hot it was in the cabin, so we didn't hike much. Several times we would get ice from freezer, let it melt on us to keep cool.Cabin & property were beautiful. Microwave wouldn't shut so light would stay on, so you had to stand on chair to unplug it. Hot tub was nice, but we were so hot, we only got in once.
Location was secluded & private, but close enough to the attractions we desired. Cabin was very clean & we felt very comfortable staying there. The hot tub was heated & running upon our arrival, & also very clean, & it was great after a day of hiking.
It was not good for what you pay. Good for complete privacy. No internet. No service. Not terrible but bring maps. The place has a few things that just aren't right. Like the microwave doesn't work stink bugs in the bed and on curtains because there's a gap in the window beside the bed.. the cabin is very Sturdy and nicely stained. Little things are "jerry rigged" and ruins any good the place has to offer. I will be attempting a partial refund
Had a great time staying here and would stay again in the future. Has all the amenities you want out of a cabin with close access to essentials if necessary. Please take note: as far as cell service goes, calls and texts work fine but data does not until you get back to town, so plan accordingly.
The cabin was beautiful. It was very peaceful and the hot tub was great for soaking after hikes. I took away a star for overall experience because the water in the cabin had a rotten egg smell to it.
The cabin is perfectly located on a qiet road in the middle of a large wooded area. It is not visible from the road and provides perfect privacy. There is no Wifi as described, but plenty of maps and brochures. It doesn't have a map that shows where exactly the cabin is located, so make sure to download your Google maps locally on your phone for easy navigation in or out.I gave four stars instead of five because the AC unit wasn"t blowing cold air, and it was 96 degrees outside.
Nice clean secluded cabin. Had this cabin for 5 days. It was nice to disconnect from everything. We were there during some storms and the electric went in and out the first two days but it didnât bother us as no one can control the weather. We did cut it a day short as we had an emergency with the dogs at home. Again no oneâs fault. If we get the opportunity we would definitely stay here again!
it wasnt very good. there was bugs in the sink and shower. microwave doesnt work. bed was rock hard, chair/couch seemed broken. we stayed 3 nights and only had towels for 2days. for what i paid it wasnt what we got. the pictures on line are completely different than what the place looks like
The property was perfect for a weekend get away. It is close to Hocking Hills State Park and the winery and Stellas Mercantile down the road were great additions.
Enjoyed a full day of hiking, it was wonderful to come back to our little cabin in the woods.Only one negative, THE BED, needs a new mattress and thankfully we brought our own pillows because the pillows there were pancake thin.
My husband and I really enjoy our much-needed getaway to Hocking Hills! This cabin was clean, the hot tub was clean and very relaxing, and it is so quiet and secluded. Definitely a great place to go for some peace and quiet. There is no internet but you have access to satellite channels and music channels. The board games were fun! The bed was a little hard but some prefer it that way. We would definitely come back!
