Thank you for making this house available-it was perfect for our group- would definitely recommend it for large family groups. Kids loved their own hangout areas and the rooftop was great when weather cooperated. This location allowed us to walk downtown, to theater, coffee shops, museums and using public transportation was easy and close. Philadelphia was very welcoming and memorable place to visit for whole family!
Our 6 year old grandson, after an 8 hour trip across the country, exclaimed upon arrival, âthis place is a mansion, worth the long trip!â Great place for our lively family to enjoy the best of downtown Philadelphia, and congratulations to the new family addition. Cheers, the Perryâs.
My friends and I are all from the area and we decided to do a Rittenhouse weekend and this was THE perfect place to do it! The house is absolutely stunning and has everything youâd ever want! None of us wanted to leave! Communication was also great and everything was so easy and organized. Would love to stay again!!
This home was gorgeous and comfortable! 14 of us from a family stayed, and there was room to spare for us all. The property is stunning, and the location in Philly cannot be near. The host was incredibly responsive and friendly, too. The next time we need a place to stay in Philly, I know where I am headed back to.
Large home and in a fantastic location. We were able to find food late at night within walking distance which was critical after working until midnight and trying to feed 8 hungry fellas. Great, considerate host and plenty of space in this multi-story house!!
Great location. Huge, modern and charming townhome. Wonderful deck on roof. 2 kitchens. plenty of places to gather and talk. Stayed during a heat wave, but house was very cool. Host was very responsive.
This was our second time staying at this property. Excellent service, House was very clean. Lot's of little touches that enhanced our stay such as coffee choices, snacks, soaps and shampoos. Plenty of room for everyone.
This was a great house to have everyone in one place for the weekend. The house is in great shape for being 150 yrs old. Some bedrooms donât have a closet for hanging clothes but most are larg
Had an amazing stay at this truly special, comfortable and unique property. We were a group of 14. The mansion had lots of room for everyone to have their own space along with space to spend time together. The kitchen was fully equipped, which allowed us to cook breakfast each day along with a multi-course dinner one evening. The location couldn't be better. We could walk to everything!! The street is very quiet and private, yet close enough to all of the Philly action. Highly Recommend!
We love the home!!! The layout is perfect. We had a baby shower which took place in the parlor room. The kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed and the butlerâs pantry was a welcomed surprise. The dining room is beautiful and felt so cozy. Our family members spent the weekend and all the bedrooms provided ample space. Thank you so much for opening up your home. It is a special place.
We've rented a number of houses in downtown Philadelphia for our family get-togethers. This property is unique in a number of ways:
- Large number of bedrooms and bathrooms: we fit 7 couples with 3 kids pretty comfortably; there is enough space where everyone can get their privacy.
- Big living room: few properties like this have such a large shared room
- Fantastic location (near Rittenhouse Square) and very historic home. It was also very quiet.
It's not cheap- but well worth it if you are large group and want to stay together in a great part of Philadelphia.
Nice, big, old, multi appartement home no living-room
We stayed for 2 nights.
Location is great. Excellent air conditioning system as the city was very hot. Excellent beds.
Confortable kitchen
Itâs not really a house. Itâs more of a multi appartement home with a lot of bedroom with small living attached, but no leaving room to be at first floor.
A little dated but charming.
Would benefit of a good deep cleaning of shower and bath.
Overall good and very good host.
House and location were a great fit for our stay in Philly.
The house is beautiful and the location is wonderful. It was perfect setting for our family to gather for a wedding.
Some features of the house were worn, the carpets were gross. The house was very clean, just very worn. Things could be easily updated to add to the quality of the stay. The AC and TV did not work in the second master suite. The shower in the second master suite did not turn on or off without great effort. There was no water for a time in another suite.
Diana, the property manager was amazing, she was responsive and engaging, immediately addressing the problems we encountered with the house.
Communication with the host was difficult, days to weeks with no response. Host did meet our requests when he responded, which we appreciated.
Just not the quality of stay that weâve enjoyed with hosts of other large homes with the same price point.
Our family rented this house for a local wedding. There are a lot of stairs but that keeps the bedroom suites private and quiet! Very well setup and easy communication with the owner. Lovely kitchen with a great dining room for family dinner. The rooftop is amazing in the evening! Loved it!
The pictures don't do this house and its location justice! We were a group of 10 and we had plenty of room to spread out or hang out together. Pool table, 2 tv rooms, rooftop deck - we enjoyed them all. The ground floor kitchen and dining room were plenty big enough for us to bring in meals and dine together. We were able to walk to great bars and restaurants, as well as to public transportation to the Sports Complex (10 min walk, 10 min subway ride). Property manager was very responsive to our questions and sent comprehensive instructions ahead of check in and check out. He even provided complimentary coffee pods and snacks. Each bedroom was big with comfortable beds. And although some of the bathrooms are small (understandable for such a historic house), it's well worth the tradeoff for such a great place. I can't imagine a better set up in Center City for a group stay!
The purpose of the stay was for a business purpose. There was a sales meeting at the convention center, and the property was outstanding.
The property is beautifully maintained and offers so many amenities.
What made this property so special for our sales team, is it allowed the team to collect their thoughts and map out their sales strategy in a tranquil and relaxing setting.
Also, the detail that the property manager goes to enhance your stay is amazing. He's a great communicator. He knows the area and offers suggestions that will enhance your stay.
To summarize this property is an outstanding value due to its spaciousness, modern amenities. All while maintaining its Philadelphia roots.
Definitely check out this property, you'll be glad you did.
What a gem. I booked this monster all to myself and ran from room to room deciding which bed to sleep in. I felt like Snow White when all of the dwarfs were out at work. I highly recommend this property. What a gem.
We had a great time in this historic house. It had recently been upgraded to add smart home technology. Robert was extremely easy to work with and helped out quickly on a minor issue. We will definitely come back here again.
Group of us came to prepare for an exam, was a perfect place to have some quiet or communal space whenever we needed it. Perfect spot, would definitely come back.
How many people get to live life like it was in the 1850's? Imagine staff quarters and your entire extended family living in this building. As many as 30 people may have lived and worked in this building at its peak. It would have been a busy place! The house is divided into 5 separate "suites" or living areas where each branch of an extended family could be comfortable in their own apartments while sharing the common areas. Of course, it won't be so crowded for your stay! You'll have over 8K square feet to yourself! Enjoy the high ceilings and the historical detail while you are a guest at 1822 Pine - and absolutely take advantage of all that this location has to offer in the great city of Philadelphia!
