This was the perfect place to stay while in Tulsa for a weekend volleyball tournament. The owners were very accommodating and helpful. I hope Oakhaven Cottage is available when we visit Tulsa again.
We love this home inside and out-- it is peaceful, beautiful and very comfortable. The hosts own the home and their talents and love of nature are present in this wonderful property.
This was a great rental. So much character in the sunroom and the stained glass windows. The kitchen is so well stocked and the yard is wonderful. It felt like a magically little house we got to grace for 3 nights.
One of my favorite VRBOs ever. Truly one-of-a-kind 1920s home! Fabulous decor and beautifully remodeled while keeping historical detail. Comfortable beds, plush bathrooms, fast Wi-Fi, exceptional touches with artwork and furnishings. The sunroom is fabulous . This location is close to some of the loveliest parts of Tulsa, and an easy drive from good restaurants and coffee houses, but is in a neighborhood that is still gentrifying so be aware. We will absolutely rent this home again.
Property is absolutely lovely; every detailed has been thoughtfully tended to. Great location convenient to all the sights of Tulsa that we had hoped to take in. Great stay. Would absolutely book again.
This was our second year having our family Christmas here. It was perfect! One of the next properties we have stayed in. Highly recommend for any occasion.
Oakhaven Cottage is a charming home with all the amenities for a comfortable stay. It was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed it as our home base, and especially loved sitting in the sunroom.
We had a wonderful stay at Oakhaven Cottage in Tulsa. Spent a little over a week and the cottage was perfect for us and family members. The beds were so comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for cooking or baking. The backyard porch was covered with comfortable seating. The upstairs bedroom had a huge master suite. We spent most of our time downstairs in a cozy, tastefully decorated living and dining areas. The front sunroom was an added bonus. The location is centrally located in Tulsa's mid-town area which is a great jumping point to going anywhere in the city. We'll definitely be returning.
This property and the gracious hosts exceeded every expectation. The property is showroom quality, although not recommended for those with limited mobility since you enter up 3 steep concrete stairs. Stocked with more than you need - hosts are generous with amenities & kitchen had everything to prepare a sit-down family meal. Large, fenced yard is dog & kid friendly. High-quality linens, great pillows! Full laundry room with essentials provided. It's billed as a 12-minute walk to University of Tulsa, but it took us closer to 18 through a beautiful neighborhood. Hosts have ruined me for every other property & host. Highly recommend! Would definitely book again.Everything is of the
Property was just as described! Great location to expo and restaurants as well as highway 66. Check in was seamless! House is very well taken care of. We will be staying here again in the future.
We lived in this house for nearly 20 years before we moved to a place with more space and room for Sean's business and sportscar interests. Sean is a graphic designer and Ayn is an educator. We have one child, all grown up now, and we love to travel ourselves. We have stayed in vacation rental homes from New York City to Colorado and many other places in between. It's always exciting to find the perfect home-base for our away adventures.
When we lived in Oakhaven Cottage, we enjoyed sharing the space with our dearest friends, and now we look forward to sharing it with you, too!
We poured so much of ourselves into Oakhaven Cottage. Sean gutted and rebuilt the entire upstairs, renovated the kitchen, downstairs bathroom and laundry. We lifted the carpet to reveal gorgeous hardwood floors, and scraped away decades of paint and wallpaper to reveal the original plaster walls. Oakhaven Cottage was built in 1938 and is a beautiful example of the architecture of that time.
Even though we moved from the house in 2013, we still keep in touch with our neighbors. We truly love the house so much that we often meet there for lunch during the work week if its not rented. We like to unwind in the sunroom, put our feet up on the back deck or host a game night with friends.
Oakhaven cottage is a comfortable, cozy, and peaceful space in a very safe and quiet neighborhood for our guests to relax, commune with family and friends and rest soundly.
