Le Monkey Island Lake Retreat est situé à Port Duncan sur l’île Monkey au bord du lac Grand. La maison a une vue sur la crique été comme hiver. Port Duncan est relié au Shangri La Resort par un chemin de voiturette de golf. Le Shangri La Resort est un complexe de golf et de lacs de premier ordre à Oklahoma. Il abrite le restaurant Eddies Lakeside Grill et Doc. À Port Duncan, les clients peuvent utiliser gratuitement la rampe de mise à l'eau et les courts de tennis. Plusieurs marinas locales proposent la location de bateaux et des cales pour la nuit à un prix modique.

Great stay, very nice place.

We mainly stayed here for the sleeping space however it was very nice and accommodations were perfect for what we needed. I could easily have taken advantage of the other features and ammenities of the home.

Much needed retreat

My husband isa truck driver and i am on the truck with him. Sometimes we stay out for months wiithout getting to see our kids, or sleep in a real bed. We just put all of our things in a storage facility, so this was a much needed little vacation to sleep in a real bed and see our babies. We are so grateful and sad we had to leave. This house is amazing. So beautiful.

Port Duncan House Stay

House was very nice with nice amenities. Plenty of parking. Located in a nice neighborhood. While not right on the lake very close where you can see it. There is a marina with rentals and slips in the neighborhood as well as a small boat ramp. Ramp is not at Marina but within walking district. There are a couple restaurants in the area and a small market. I’d plan on cooking at the house if staying more than a couple nights as there are not a lot of options for eating out.

We were looking for a place near my family to handle overflow guests during the holiday. This was the perfect location for us at a very reasonable price compared To other properties in Port Duncan. Property was clean and well stocked with the basics.

Fabulous Fall Getaway

Such a wonderful deck to enjoy your coffee and cocktails! Excellent location for all things in Monkey Island. Everything you have at your own home, David has included it here for you. Things I thought were extremely thoughtful ( and brought because most host don’t include these); filtered water in the fridge waiting for you, fridge is hooked up to the ice maker, shampoo and soap, ceiling fans( I brought my fan!),washer and dryer, very clean, charming deck and nice neighbors! I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect spot for golf trip

Choosing this property was a no brainer based on the proximity to golf courses and Grand Lake. The house was very clean and had all the amenities you’d need. David was very quick to respond to any questions I had and resolve any issues (which were minor). Great spot to stay and I had a great time.

Really happy with my stay at Monkey Island Lake Retreat. The short version - it was exactly as advertised, very reasonably priced, EXTREMELY well stocked with all the regular and miscellaneous things that are needed or might be called for. The owner was super helpful. Downsides: nothing really Conclusion: Would rent again.

Peaceful Perch on the Cove

Such a lovely home with a delightful host. David never hesitated to answer all questions, and made us feel very welcome. Everything was outlined, and explained very well! This was our first bnb experience, and David, along with VRBO, made us sooo comfortable in the process. The home was MORE lovely than the pictures, very clean, and well supplied. Enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evenings. We pulled our boat, and enjoyed some lake time too! The local restaurants were great, with The Parrot, in Grove being our favorite. This is a great home for families with children....the whole upstairs is one big room with multiples beds, a TV, and a bathroom. Downstairs has 2 bedrooms, and new mattresses! Up to date kitchen, granite countertops, comfy couch! BIG TV, very roomy downstairs bath with a great step in shower with a seat! The home has central heat n air too! (a must for a woman in menopause! Lol) I just can't say enough! The parking area of the home is roomy for multiple vehicles. Thank you, again, to the Chapmans, and VRBO, for the best first bnb experience! 😃

Beautiful Location

The deck is amazing to hangout on and watch the leaves fall on the water. We saw a fox, squirrels, and deer. Beautiful location. My only complaints would be more kitchen lighting and better bath towels.

Your host is a professor at the University of Central Oklahoma teaching Real Estate. He and his wife, Julie, own a real estate company in Edmond, Ok called Realty1. The own resort property in Red River, NM and commercial and residential rentals in Edmond, OK. They love Grand Lake and hosting guests at the Monkey Island Lake Retreat.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This unique space was built in 2012. It has beautiful stained concrete floors, granite countertops throughout, two bedrooms and one bathroom downstairs and a bedroom with queen bed and 2 twins and full bathroom upstairs . Refrigerator with ice-maker, dishwasher, washer and dryer, and unbelievable unique and original lake decor. Not that you will watch it but there is a large flat screen TV on the wall with Cable TV. There is also a smart TV upstairs..

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

When arriving you will drive past the home to a curved shared asphalt drive. That the drive and curve around to park next to the home. Our parking area is the lighter colored asphalt. I think you will see where the neighbor parks and where our guests park. It is a shared area. Nightly rental is for 4 guests, Additional guests are additional nightly fee.
