Kanab is a halfway point for our extended family. This house was a perfect place to stay. It was comfortable and we were able to walk to many of the places we wanted to visit.
Perfect Location and Great for Traveling with Dogs!
We were looking for a place close to the animal sanctuary that allowed dogs and this home was the perfect fit. It's spacious with a fully fenced backyard. The home is comfortable to lounge around in, but not so fancy that you're always worried about tracking in dirt or smudging something. Our dogs loved playing in the backyard. Everything you could possibly need was provided from towels, additional blankets, cleaning supplies, laundry soap, BBQ, an ice maker, etc. We didn't want for anything, or wish we had thought to bring a certain kitchen item. It was all there! Most importantly in the Utah heat, the AC worked perfectly! The house is right in the middle of town and therefore easy to walk to the shops and restaurants. But it's off the main road by half a block so it's still nice and quiet. Shannon, the host, was friendly and responsive the two times I had questions and texted her. Would definitely stay here again!
I love staying in this home! The hostess is friendly, easy to reach, and a breeze to work with! Itâs in a great location and is very well kept. Space for a group to spread out.
We loved this home in Kanab! Fabulous central location. Very roomy. We had plenty room for 10 of us. Comfy beds and every kitchen necessity you could think of. We very much enjoyed our stay. We would definitely come back!
Large house, clean and not fancy. Comfortable beds. Generous parking. Lovely fenced back yard. Short walk to market, restaurants, ice cream. We'll be back!
Great place for 1 of our party who could not handle stairs. Lots of room to spread out, play cards and get caught up on laundry. Walking distance to Wild Thyme, best dinners in Kanab! Nice shaded back patio for relaxing.
check-in progress was super smooth, the house has lots of beds enough to fit a large group. location is super convenient to all the nature spots around the area! neighborhood felt safe.
This property served our group perfectly! There was plenty of sleeping space, two gathering areas, and having 3 bathrooms was awesome. The kitchen was stocked with the basics we needed. We were within driving distance of many great sites and activities. We were also able to walk to grocery stores, restaurants and fun shops. Being able to come back and relax in a home after a long day of activities was awesome. And we loved being able to have our dog with us on this trip.
I selfishly donât want to leave a good of a review. Because I donât want make it harder for us to book it next year. But the place is amazing. Very comfortable. Very cozy. The location is phenomenal for visiting Kanab. Itâs great location to the Grand Canyon to the hikes and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
This property gave us a great home base for our family of 8 to experience this beautiful area. We had plenty of room to spread out and everything we needed. It was refreshing to have a basic supply of household needs instead of having to buy everything like extra toilet paper or dish soap. Great value and easy location. The house does show its age but that is easily outweighed by all the positives.
We enjoyed our stay at this property while visiting Zion. The location was convenient to the grocery store and restaurants. It was perfect for our family of 10. Plenty of.room for everyone to have space from hanging out in the den or sitting out front enjoying the evening. The host was very easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again.
My second time at this place and again it didnât disappoint. The place was very homey, the host very helpful & easily reached via text. We enjoyed every place of the house, especially the backyard with the fire pit. Location was so centered that we were able to visit Zion, Page Arizona, and other cool places in Kanab. Will definitely stay here again when in Kanab. Thank you to the amazing host
This is our second time staying at this home - there are 8 adults and we are with our greyhounds for the annual Sighthound Shivoo that is held in Kanab. The house is perfect. Great yard for the dogs and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone with all the comforts of home. Shannon is very responsive if we have questions and so easy to get hold of. So much better than a hotel!!!
We enjoyed our stay with lots of things to do around! We liked the roomy home, big kitchen, big backyard with fire pit.
Our host was easy to communicate with and returned messages quickly. Thanks so much for your hospitality!!!
I cannot emphasize how perfect this property was for a troop of Girl Scouts and chaperones to have as a home base for trips to Bryce Canyon and before our camping excursion to Zion National Park. Kanab is the perfect distance, the house is VERY conveniently located to grocery stores and (if you're not cooking) several restaurants. We were there on a Sunday, so not much open in the town itself, but most things were within walking distance. The most important thing was the AMPLE space for my scouts to spread out. There were 5 teenagers (or nearly teenagers) and the bunkbeds were a huge hit! We were also quite grateful for multiple bathrooms! We used the smoker style grill out back, as the gas grill didn't have propane, but the amenities were just right for the scouts prior to our more rustic evening camping. The kids LOVED the reclining sofa as well!
Shannon was a wonderfully communicative host! We would DEFINITELY stay again!
- Brandon & Shannon - Brandon was born and raised and Kanab, and Shannon has been a resident of Kanab since 1992. We both have strong ties in the community and both work locally. Brandon is a wildland firefighter and Shannon is a loan officer! We love everything that the southern Utah area has to offer, and have chosen to raise our family right here in Kanab!
The house was built in 1956, and when we bought it, we knew it had lots of potential to really shine. We started our rejuvenation of the house in May 2004, and every room has been updated in some way. It has been fun putting our mark on every square foot of the house, including planting sod and working hard on the landscaping, laying tile, painting, installing new windows, a new roof, and new HVAC unit, vinyl fencing, and lots of other remodeling!
