The location is great, the home very comfortable with plenty of room for six, and the gated parking a plus. The owner was welcoming and quick to respond to questions. We enjoyed our stay.
Great property, close to the action (15 minute walk) but far enough away for peace and quiet. Very comfortable and all the amenities. Host communicates well, very friendly.
We found this place to be exactly as described, or even better! Great location, awesome property, and best of all, a super awesome host, Manuel. Thank you so much! Will definitely look for this property when we come back.
This was a unique dwelling, which we appreciate. It was our first family trip to New Orleans and we had a great trip. Coffee shop across the street was our favorite part.
We loved the place as it had everything we needed. We walked everywhere, 20 minutes to get almost anywhere in the French quarter. The host was very responsive & accommodating. Nice that there were coffee supplies & a few other food essentials.
Great location for jazz fest. 1.5 miles to the fest, less than a mile to Cafe Du Monde. Turkish restaurant around the corner, coffee shop across the street. Propery manager was fantastic.
Visited with 3 other friends. We liked being able to come home and relax in the yard.all the beds were comfy. The only thing I wished we had was maybe a luggage stand in the bedrooms. It was wonderful to have the coffee shop across the street for fresh morning coffee. There is a little store a block away that sold beer and liquor. We didnât rent a car Ubers were reasonable and there is a streetcar line nearby you can walk to the quarter but most nites we were happy to Uber home. The owner was great communicating and gave some suggestions for eating and things to do. The house was very clean and we had plenty of cleaning supplies etc if we needed them. The house is old and has lots of charm. It was a cool place to stay! Thanks!
The house owner, Manuel, was awesome. He let us check in a little early, and was always a text away, for any questions. The house doesnât look like much on the outside, but you walk into complete beauty. It had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. We will stay again. Loved it.
There were 3 couples for 5 days. We had a great time and each had their own space when needed. Loved the eclectic decorations! Especially the elephant lights.
And a big thanks for the can of coffee (sorry I think we used it all).
We would recommend this to anyone and would stay there again.
What a wonderful home! There were so many small details that we adored about this home - the beams, the windows, the doors, etc. We loved everything about it! VERY cold air conditioning kept us comfortable. The fridge and freezer are large, full size dishwasher/stove/oven/microwave, plenty of plates/silverware/pots/pans, as well as some snacks/condiments/alcohol that were left behind by our group and others before us. Manuel was a wonderful host and very quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay.
Do not hesitate to leave your soaps, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion at home. I am very particular with these things so brought my own but would have been just fine with what was supplied! Fructis shampoo/conditioner, Aveeno body wash, can't remember the lotion but it was fine!
The location was great - within walking distance of many areas or just a short Lyft/Uber away. We didn't utilize the street car that was a block away although we wish we had.
The only trouble we had were a few small ants in the kitchen and some flies got in but totally understandable due to the historic windows and doors. Also the dryer gave us some trouble (quite possibly user error though!). We wouldn't have changed anything about the home other than the addition of a fly swatter! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
My 2 girlfriends and I were looking for a place near the French Quarter that was close enough to walk, but far enough to get away from the noise. This place fit the bill perfectly. And to top it off, there's a great little coffee shop just steps away that we loved hanging out at in the morning!!
We were in love the moment we stepped in. The place has all the modern updates while maintaining its southern charm. The house is clean and spacious. We loved the antique doors and touches throughout. The outdoor gazebo area is just lovely, though we never had the opportunity to enjoy it as we were just too busy enjoying the city. We each had our own bedroom and with 2.5 baths, we never had to wait to get ready. The beds were comfortable, though the pillows were not supportive enough for me. I have neck issues and had to double up on the pillows to get proper support.
The owner, Manuel, was very responsive to our needs. He answered our questions quickly and took care to make sure we had a good experience in his home. Thank you!!
If I had to offer any critique, it would be that the bathrooms lacked towel hooks and counter space. As women, we need someplace to lay out our toiletries. It was hard to do with the small sink areas. So maybe even a couple small wall shelves would help. But that was just a minor inconvenience and in no way affected our enjoyment of this charming home.
Overall, we LOVED this home and would not hesitate to stay here again!
House is beautiful. We had an issue with one of the beds, the platform malfunctioned and the person sleeping there ended up on the floor. The owners were quick to respond, they replaced the platform with a higher quality product. They were concerned and I was impressed with the effort they gave as it was on the weekend and probably not easily fixed. The mattresses were good but a little hard for me, but I like an extra soft mattress. The bathrooms were clean and updated, the hot water was amazing after a long day. We enjoyed it all very much
We enjoyed the patio, sitting out after being out in the quarter enjoying a nice glass of wine and unwinding from the day. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Across the street is an awesome coffee and pastry shop. Around the corner is a good breakfast and sandwich shop very good and at the end of the street a convenient store.
The walk was long but we enjoyed it and When you get tired Uber is quick and easy to use, or the bike taxis are enjoyable.
This property is lovely, charming, well-appointed, quiet, a convenient walk to the heart of New Orleans, with on-site parking and offering everything a person could ever want.
We were in New Orleans for a conference. This house was perfect with 3 separate bedrooms and the off street parking space! Plus Manuel was easy to communicate with and let us in early.
This place was perfect for what we were looking for. Great quiet neighborhood with a coffee shop right across the street. Manuel was very quick with a response to any questions I had and was very helpful.
This house is a gem in the historic Treme neighborhood. Positives were location close enough to walk to the French Quarter or stroll through Louis Armstrong Park and the coffee shop right across the street was excellent and such a cool vibe. Also, 3 separate bedrooms and bathrooms was nice for our Girlsâ Trip for 3! Note though, only one of the bathrooms has a true shower. One is a toilet sink only, and one has a clawfoot tub with a handheld attachment. Also liking having a washer and dryer on-site! Negatives were the temperature control was impossible. Freezing cold downstairs while sweltering hot upstairs. The venting is not the most efficient for heat exchange and the doors and windows are not very weather-tight. There was also a concern raised about the cleanliness of the comforters (like are they washed after every visit) by one of our party. Mine seemed clean and everything else was very clean. Would also be helpful to have tissues in the house, though toilet paper did the trick in a pinch.
Manuel was super responsive to all of our questions and requests (even brought some weights to the house for me to workout) and gave great suggestions for restaurants and activities. Would definitely stay here again!!
