Wonderful property, exactly as described. In the heart of the town but with spectacular sea views. Owners were helpful and communicative. Highly recommend.
We spent a few days for a family get together and the house was perfect for all ages. Very comfortable throughout with beautiful views, and a very well equipped kitchen too. Would love to come again.
We have had a wonderful time, here in Aldeburgh. The home is beautiful, spacious and in the most special location. You will find yourselves a stone's throw from both the beach and the charming high street. We will definitely be hoping to return.
We stayed for a long weekend in December as a multi generational family group . Fabulous location with views out to sea . The kids loved the bunk beds looking out over the beach counting seals . Well equipped kitchen , breakfast bar/island and a dining table to seat 14. Great views from 1st floor lounge.
A fantastic house for a family gathering.
The way the kitchen and dining area blend together is fabulous.
Great upstairs lounge, large enough for 13 people without sitting on each otherâs laps. The lounge gives you great sea views.
The bedrooms are very comfortable.
So close to the beach, ideal for easy walks on the flat seafront.
Prefect . Many thanks. The Taylor family.
We went here for my husbands 50th birthday, different ages in family and it suited everyone! sociable kitchen/dining area and living room to chill out, huge space, everyone could be together, plenty of chairs and the kitchen area is just wow!! we absolutely loved it and will reccommend to friends. Cosy inside when it was wintery outside, conveniently situated, high street just behind with all its lovely, coffee shops and gift shops, sea just in front, we saw seals in the morning! check in process easy and host was quick to respond to anything, thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home by the sea, kind regards The Lewis family
Pros
Location- couldnât be better sandwiched between the seafront and the high street
Kitchen- well equipped with all you need for a large crowd
Good size bath sheets provided for towels
Cons
Whilst the downstairs has been renovated, the rest of the house needs doing so. We found walls with marks and rips, one top bunk had loose wood, some furniture is looking tired and could do with being replaced
The bathrooms are also showing their age; evidence of a leak in one en suite and they all could do with being modernised.. The en suite in the yellow room has a shower over the bath which the height canât be altered and is faulty. The tap also kept falling off. There also wasnât a slip mat provided which is needed as it was a bit dangerous.
Cleanliness- with being such a big house thereâs a lot to clean. We found cobwebs and dust on the windows and books and I thought there was a sense of a superficial clean being done when I think the house could benefit from a deep clean. Cupboards and drawers need a good clean and we felt the whole place needed some tlc
It's a great space for a large group but some attention to detail is required
Grandsons referred to house as a âmansionâ having seen pics. They werenât disappointed once there. This was a 4 generation break, youngest 2 yrs & 4 months, eldest 87 yrs. We all enjoyed close proximity to seafront & town. Would recommend although not for anyone issueswith mobility
A perfect house for a family reunion holiday . A perfect location in a picture perfect town.
The property was beautifully presented with everything you could want and decorated in an individual, attractive way. Our party consisted of us, 2 grandparents, our two sons and their wives and our 5 grandchildren aged 6-12. One son and his family were visiting from Australia and the house gave us al, adults and children time to be together, especially the children who hadnât seen each other for 4 years. We loved the childrenâs lounge , downstairs, even better was the adults lounge on the first floor with a stunning view of the beach. The children were able to enjoy time on the beach together but we could see them. Perfect location for a bit of retail therapy as well as a well stocked co- op a few minutes away. Restaurants and pubs within a few minutes walk as were the local attractions. Would highly recommend this house . Only slight issue was with the childrenâs bedroom on the top floor which became very hot in the unseasonably hot weather, but there was plenty of space to decamp to .
The property offered everything we could have hoped, we had a fantastic time and made all the more easy thanks to Peters support from the moment we booked through to the trip itself. We highly recommend this property and look forward to returning in the future
Very happy overall with the whole booking process, had a lovely time and the house was just what we wanted and fitted our needs.
Easily big enough for 10 ladies , plenty of beds and bathrooms.
We really enjoyed our stay. Lovely family house with great views of the beach. The kitchen and dining is well designed with everything you need. Would recommend.
A lovely escape from London :)
Amazing location, kitchen and communal areas. The house is very spacious. Peter was a fabulous host, with great communication.
Thank you
Ollie and I have offered our beach side holiday home to guests for over 20 years. We endeavour to keep the property in good order and try to meet the needs of those seeking relaxation and enjoyment in the wonderful seaside town of Aldeburgh
Everyone loves this property because of its unique position next to the beach and the safe environment it offers to children. It is a very spacious and welcoming house and suits all ages.
