We stayed at 4 different properties this visit to the UK, and this was our favourite!Cosy and light filled, complete with home comforts. In addition we appreciated the very well equipped kitchen for staying in.Sadly the weather was shocking, but staying at Bryn, was a delight

We had a wonderful time in Cornwall thanks to Bryn Cottage. A beautiful and peaceful location - quick and easy to get to the coast. The top floor apartment itself is lovely and well furnished - very cosy and warm. Easy to relax. Our first time in Cornwall with a child and this was perfect for us.

Perfect cottage in idyllic location.

We had the most wonderful week staying in this perfect cottage. Amanda left a wonderful welcome tray for us. The property was warm, comfortable (especially the bed) and had everything one could possibly need while on holiday. Location perfect for exploring Cornwall. And the views from the cottage are perfect. Would highly recommend.

Peace and Tranquility

We have been coming to Cornwall for 25 years and this is definitely the best, place we have stayed in! A comfortable, well equipped home, with stunning countryside views. We are already planning our next visit.

Comfy cottage in rural Cornwall

A nice cottage well equipped not sure if the bed in bedroom one is a king size bed I would say not. Very nicely positioned for touring without spending hours in the car.

Great as always

This is our second stay at Bryn and it was just as great as the first time. Amanda is a great host, responsive and helpful.The cottage is well equipped, this time we were there with two professional chefs and they did NOT have one complaint about the kitchen, even the knifes were sharp which is always a challenge when your husband is a professional chef.Thank you Amanda and we will be back again if you will have us!

Perfect stay

Bryn Cottage was a fantastic base to explore Cornwall as a family of four. The cottage was beautifully presented, clean, comfortable and well -equipped. There wasn't anything we could possibly of needed to make our stay feel more like home. The cottage is in peaceful countryside but within easy reach of many popular Cornish destinations. We enjoyed coming home to a quiet base, and making the most of the open fire on the day it rained, and sitting out on the porch area to watch the sunset. We loved staying here and would happily return.

Tranquil Cornish cottage

We had a great holiday at this character property in the heart of the Cornish countryside, with total peace and beautiful views over the fields towards Bodmin. The cottage, which forms the upper level of a converted barn, is very comfortable and well equipped. The owner was a pleasure to deal with, very kind and helpful. We stayed over the Christmas week and there were even seasonal decorations to welcome us! Highly recommended.

Super-renovated barn apartment St Wenn

Very high quality upper floor barn conversion, well insulated, well heated even without the wood fire (which was great). This really is a very nice conversion- huge attention to detail. Only criticism: was a bit disappointied to arrive after a long drive and find no supplies for at least one night by a cosy fire- so had to drive back out in search of fire wood and lighters. Also a bit light on with toilet paper. Recommend a little there to make the place a bit more welcoming...

Cornwall at its best

In the midst of silence and tranquility we found this comfortable cottage in Cornwall. Fortunately, the owner gave us directions to reach this beautiful place. Otherwise we wouldn't have found it. Including the Co-op in Roche this was all we needed. Inside at the set table we enjoyed the view across the fields, with a glimpse of the Church of St Wenn on the horizon. From the garden we were greeted every day by a rabbit. And every day a bird of prey (a buzzard?) perched on a power pole in the adjacent field, looking for prey. We ourselves went looking for the beautiful places in Cornwall every day.

Bryn Cottage holiday

A beautiful cottage situated in a beautiful location. Well equipped with all the facilities you would expect. It was perfect for our little family and very (young) child friendly. The only negative about the property was that it wasn't completely clean. The hoover didn't work correctly (we tried it while we were there) and the carpet wasn't free from debris when we arrived. There were also quite a few cobwebs (but then the cottage is rural so maybe this is expected). We did have a slight problem when we arrived but were able to speak to the Owner about this quickly. Overall, we loved our holiday at Bryn Cottage and would recommend it to others.

We appreciate you bringing the hoover to our attention - our cleaner had told us when she prepared for your stay that she was concerned that it was failing so we have ordered a replacement. Lovely cottage with exceptional views

Bryn cottage comprises the upper level of a two storey barn-conversion just outside the hamlet of St Wenn and enjoys spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. On arrival there was a problem with the front door key (which had been bent out of shape by the previous tenants) but the owner and her local helper provided us with a replacement very quickly indeed so we were soon enjoying the cottage. Apart from the stunning view across countryside towards Bodmin, my main impression of the cottage is the high quality of the finish, especially the kitchen and bathroom, which would not be out of place in one's home rather than a holiday cottage. We also appreciated the owner's welcome pack of tea and coffee, a bottle of wine, and cakes. We chose this cottage partly for its central Cornwall location, making it relatively easy to visit both South and North coast, though the terrible April weather during our stay meant that our sight-seeing was a bit limited. The gardens at Glendurgan and the stream railway at Bodmin were my personal highlights. All in all, I hope to stay again in the future.

In de advertentie staat de gehele woning. Wij zijn er derhalve van uitgegaan dat er geen directe buren aanwezig zouden zijn. Echter de onderverdieping, bleek ook een vakantiewoning te zijn, was vrijwel de gehele periode verhuurd. De woning is bijzonder gehorig waardoor wij met oordoppen moesten gaan slapen. Dit heeft voor ons het verblijf minder aangenaam gemaakt. De omgeving is prachtig en veel uitstapjes zijn mogelijk. Woning op zich is volledig voorzien van alle benodigdheden. Als er geen buren waren geweest was het een topvakantie geworden.

We are sorry that you misunderstood the detail of our listing. We appreciate that someone in your party needed to rest and sleep for much of the stay. We make it clear in our listing that Bryn Cottage is an entire home that occupies the upper storey of a two-storey barn conversion. In the 20 plus years that we have been letting Bryn to holiday makers, and spending our own vacations there, we have never had mention or concern about noise from the holiday property below, nor from the other cottages that form the little cluster of buildings in this rural spot. We are pleased that you found Bryn to be comfortable and well equipped, as well as providing you with a good base to explore the surrounding area.

Toller Aufenthalt

Super Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern, saubere und schöne Unterkunft mit tollem Ausblick und guten Betten. Der Kamin hat uns an kühleren Abenden gewärmt, da wir leider die Heizung nicht angestellt bekommen haben. Insgesamt aber ein toller Aufenthalt mit sehr herzlichen Gastgebern!!

Lovely property and hosts

We had a lovely couple of weeks here with our young boys. Nice and quiet area overlooking lovely views of the countryside. Property was immaculate with bedding changed at the start of the second week. Cottage is close to Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow. Amanda is a lovely host and it’s easy to communicate via the Vrbo app. Thank you again, we had a lovely time.

Perfect hideaway - Bryn cottage was a haven perfectly placed to visit either coastline

If you want peace and quiet then Bryn is perfect Loudest noise was the owl hooting in the evenings Fabulous equipped kitchen - lots of hot water for a bath after trekking through the mud along the coastlines and fields Then relaxing in front of the log burner with a glass or two of wine Amanda was quick to respond to initial queries but once at Bryn we had no need to contact her as an excellent instruction book was on site We had a fabulous break Thank you Amanda Would definitely recommend Bryn
