Headline: Severe habitability failures, safety hazards, and deceptive ledger manipulation at "Knotty and Nice"If you are considering booking with Timber Tops Cabin Rentals or Amazing Views of the Smokies, be aware of how this company handles critical guest safety, habitability, and customer billing:Condemned Sleeping Accommodations: We spent four nights on an unusable, severely sunken, and degraded mattress from 2019. A Timber Tops technician was dispatched to inspect it, acknowledged it was completely shot, and condemned it on site for replacement. Despite this, Timber Tops refused to replace the bed or relocate us, leaving paying guests to sleep on a condemned mattress for four straight nights while staff claimed they were "waiting on the owner."Unauthorized Entry & Severe Wildlife Safety Violation: Timber Tops maintenance staff entered our cabin twice without prior notice, permission, or authorization while we were off the property. During one unauthorized entry, staff exited the cabin leaving the exterior balcony door and security latch completely unfastened—directly adjacent to posted signs warning of active bear activity in the immediate vicinity. Compromising perimeter security in an active bear habitat is gross negligence.Deceptive Accessibility Disclosures: The listing omitted that reaching the cabin sleeping quarters requires navigating roughly 50 steep stairs, presenting an undisclosed physical barrier.Invoice & Ledger Manipulation
