My family really enjoyed our stay. It was nice being right on the sound the kids had fun kayaking and wading. Also was close to walk on and 4x4 beach acesses.

What made the stay great was the excellent location of the house and the timely communication with the property owner. Really enjoyed the house. Would definitely try to return soon

Fantastic Sound Access

Just what we were looking for- lots of outdoor fun in a safe environment. Probably the best access to the sound we’ve had in the 30 years we’ve been coming to OBX.

Great location for sound activities

We had a great stay. Only two things could be improved. 1) Bed mattresses could be better. 2) Since we love cooking, kitchen equipment could be updated and improved. Great stay!

Would come back!

We completely enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and fully stocked with all amenities we needed. Contact with the owner was excellent, he responded to questions quickly! A very nice addition would be an outside table for the deck.

Wonderful Experience!!

Our family truly enjoyed staying here, everything was clean and fresh, the kitchen cookware was top notch, the house had essentially everything we could have needed and the owner was very quick to respond and send out a technician on the weekend to assist us with the HVAC! This was truly a five-star experience that we hope to repeat in the future!!

Beautiful sunsets every evening. Enjoyed watching the kiters. Great dining of seafood on the area. Owner was very responsive and helpful as this was our very first VRBO experience. We would definitely return.

Relaxing

It was very relaxing to sit on the back deck to watch the sunrise and the sunset over the sound. I do wish the description of the private beach area was a little clearer as its not really a private beach as its big rocks and boulders lining the water. Overall, it was a nice stay.

House was exactly as pictured. Lots of room. The kitchen is supplied with everything you need. The spacious back porch is where a lot of time was spent watching the kite boarders as well as the sunsets. The area is amazing. Would definitely come here again.

Windy but great!

We set up corn hole boards and played many games Wind was up to 30 miles an hour for 4 of the days. It actually was still fun as we learned To manage the aerodynamics of bean bags! Place was in a great location. Very spacious. Would go back

Beautiful Place - Great Location

Beautiful Place, super views(s), sunsets,. Large Balcony. The house can sleep 8-10 people easily however misses chair(only 6) for the dinning area, can be managed with outside chairs at the limit. The CHARCOAL BBQ is at the limit(but mangeable) if more than 6 people. OVERALL EXPERIENCE SUPER, For ALL the guests during our time there !

Great sunsets

Pleanty of room and space for kids to roam and play. Great sunsets and moonrises. Fishing in the sound is not bad either. Somewhat secluded too (even though you're in town). We were there Sept in the offseason, but pizza was right down the street for a cheaper meal, or Neptunes for a little more exotic dish w/ cocktails. Property manager was quick to address issues and questions. We had a great time.

Great vacation!

We had a great vacation with our two boys, aged 8 & 6. We loved the big house! It was very clean. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed for cooking meals. Communication was great! The view was fantastic! Amazing sunsets! It was a little too rocky to access the water. The boys love to swim so they did a couple times while we were there but we preferred driving to beach or sound-side at another location that wasn’t rocky. Other than needing better access to get in the water, this house was perfect!! Will book again!!

great views, great stay

The house was clean and the views out to the sound were spectacular. The huge windows and n the sound side made you feel like you are one with the outdoors, even when you are indoors. Host was very responsive and helpful. Beds were very comfortable. The tv viewing area is a nice set up for the whole group to enjoy. Perhaps our favorite was watching all the kite boarders who rent from two locations very near by. S much fun to watch. We have long been oceanfront fans, but the sound really won us over with this house.

Peace and quiet

It's our first VRBO rental. Majestic home; needs upkeep. The inside wasn't cleaned like I'd expect. Stained rugs and floors. Dried coffee stain on counter, rugs&marble floors stained.

Excellent location, about 25 min from grocery store

Open communications and quick responses to my questions. We were a family of 5 adults so roomy and plenty of privacy. We enjoyed grilling out, sitting on deck, and sunsets. Men enjoyed kite surfing in the sound and they were happy to walk out kites - can walk out in waist deep water for about 1/4 mile. Outdoor shower was great in removing wet suits and rinsing/drying off before entering the house. Kitchen well equipped as we ate all meals there as many places were closed for the season. Plenty of parking for our 2 vehicles. House was as pictured.

Incorrect information the large grocery store is about 15 minutes from the home and deep water is only a couple hundred feet from shore your stay was the week of hurricane Ian there was a north easter that blew the sound out and roads had flooding from the impending hurricane in addition there is a small deli grocery store and a dollar general only one mile from the house glad you enjoyed your stay

The Views, MY GOODNESS!

Extraordinary house. We all loved how spacious and comfortable this place was. Every single room had a water view! What a treat. The host was so very helpful and super responsive with communicating. It was immaculate and DEFINITELY met our needs for gathering and relaxing. We will come back in the summer! You can launch kayaks, kites, etc., into the water right from the backyard! It has great outdoor space. We really had quality family time. The set up of the indoor open space was absolutely perfect for us! The house was as advertised and beautiful. I am saying our best vacation ever, can't wait to return. Fantastic memories made. Thank you for opening up your home!

Awesome time in OBX

This sound front property in Rodanthe, OBX is really tremendous! I would highly recommend it for a large group. For us it was 5 adults, and we had a lot of room, I can imagine 12 folks wound do great. The sound is beautiful, swam every day in the less than waste high water. Ocean was a 10 min bike ride away. So many rental places very close for bikes, kayaks and kite surfing. The house had everything in the kitchen that you would need. Lots of small stores around for shopping. Did not go fishing but I saw 2 charter guys running boats. Golf is about 1 hr away up in kitty hawk. Arcade is a 5 min walk for the kids. Ice cream at all the stores. Sunsets are perfect look at photo. Overall a great time

What a wonderful week!

We had a wonderful time at this property. It's so pretty, you don't want to ever leave to go out sightseeing. We stayed on the back porch for 3 days looking at the kite surfers and the gorgeous sunsets. It's in a perfect location and we ventured to Corolla to see the wild horses one day and then went to Ocracoke the next day via ferry. We made wonderful memories and after staying on the "sound" side I don't know if we will ever go back to the ocean side. It's just so peaceful and relaxing. We did have a small issue on the day we checked in with the internet not working but the owner stayed in constant contact with us until it was operational again. He even checked in on us midweek telling us about the riptides. Very nice!

Run down home

The first night the heat was stuck on from being broken. They said they would refund the first night but never did. All the windows are screwed shut with deck screws which presents a safety hazard for an emergency. The deck boards are in bad shape.
