New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

Just steps away from the beach, this beautiful home is just what you've been hoping to find for your family's next beach vacation! Inside, you'll love the high, vaulted ceilings, attractive beach décor, and home comforts that span four full levels. The third-floor main living area features a gas fireplace in the open-concept living room along with comfortable furniture, a large TV, and access to a private balcony furnished with Adirondack chairs and a bench swing. The full kitchen includes an attractive table with seating for four, ample countertop space, small and major appliances, and a passthrough to the dining area. Want to dine alfresco? Take your plates out to the screened porch right off the dining room to enjoy a delightful meal in the sea breeze.

When it's time to call it a night, you'll have bedrooms with a TV, to take advantage of, one on the top floor and three more on the second level, where you'll also find a spacious balcony furnished with a hammock and a bench swing, perfect for a little quiet time with a good novel. The fifth bedroom is on the first floor next to the home's game room which includes a pool table, stool seating, a TV, a refrigerator and mini-fridge, and access to the patio and private pool. The home's free WiFi will make it easy to research your next beach adventure and the central air-conditioning and ceiling fans will keep everything nice and cool while you're here. Take a short stroll to access the beach for an afternoon of fun and sun then come home to spritz away the sand with the outdoor shower. The private washer/dryer will make it easy to keep everyone's clothes clean during your stay, so you can afford to pack light for your trip! The private pool is a great place to lounge with friends and the kids will love romping around the yard which includes a picnic table area and a hammock.

Want to take a break from the kitchen? You'll have plenty of nearby restaurants to explore. Take a short walk to Hatteras Watersports to rent some jet skis, kayaks, or paddleboards for your stay. REAL Watersports will provide private and group surf and kiteboarding lessons to get you up and crashing waves in no time.

We had a great time. Short walk to the beach, plenty of rooms, comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and bathrooms. Would stay again.

Loved and lived in but great for families

This house was great for our 4 kids who all got their own room! The beds were comfortable enough. The pool was a good size and allowed for fun family time. Distance to the beach was great but a bit of a hike to the actual ocean. (To be expected in OBX) The A/C was perfection! The kitchen was lacking a few things but we made it work. The house could use some touch ups and updating but all in all we had an amazing time! We loved being able to have our dogs with us!

Great location, amenities & house!

Happy Ours provided us with everything we needed! Great location - close to beach access & everything you need. The kids loved coming back from the beach to get into the pool. Plenty of space for everyone to relax and hang out. House has everything you need - and the beds are super comfy! If you want to relax and refresh this is a great place to do it!

Had a wonderful time.

We really enjoyed the house. The stairs are a heck of a workout. Haha. It was great to find a pet friendly place. Saw deers in the mornings and the beach area that you can walk to was very nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time. It’s a great house and you’ll definitely get your steps in each day just by going up and down the stairs! Such a relaxing time with all of our kids. 😊

Great Stay!

We had a great time at Happy Ours. There were many outdoor seating areas to enjoy. The televisions and Wi-Fi were all updated technology. There were also lots of baby friendly supplies available (fold up crib, high chair, baby spoons, and even a few toys). We enjoyed the nice ice cream shop that was a short walk away from the house. Would highly recommend Happy Ours!

Good value

Nice comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood. Well equipped for cooking and entertainment for a rainy day. The heating in the house is a little difficult, so if you are there in the winter like we were, the bedroom on the top floor will be about 20° warmer than the bedroom in the basement.

Beach Gem

Wonderful beach house. Large rooms and comfy furniture. Only one short block from the beach access. Wonderful pool with lots of toys provided. Great outdoor shower. Ample kitchen supplies. Near shopping and restaurants. Ample parking. Due to all the stairs, it may not be suitable for the elderly or handicapped. We all had a blast and I would highly recommend this beach house.

Perfect !!!

This was a perfect place in every way! Spacious house with many bedrooms, lots of natural lighting, comfortable furniture, lot of balcony/deck seating, 5 minute walk to the beach, games for people of all ages and interests (pool, puzzles, board games), books, TV in every room, kitchen stocked with lots of pots and pans which were very useful. Everyone in our group enjoyed the stay, including the dogs. There is even 1 bedroom and full bath in the first floor when we enter which was very nice for my mom. Overall this house was absolutely fantastic!

Happy Ours - wonderful family vacation

Happy Ours was perfect for our multi generation family vacation. Multiple levels provided the space and privacy for all. Our only wish was we could of had more time to enjoy the beach and pool more, with the late check in (6pm) and early check out (10am) it felt as if we lost a day of vacation. Only thing that was not listed was trash pickup days. Other than that everything was great.

It was ok. The house has a ton of spiders..needs to be fumigated. The pool was freezing, the large grill was in the garbage, so a super small charcoal grill. There was a unsafe electrical socket. Want you to mop, no mop bucket...it was ok.

Cockroach Infested, dirty, and dangerous

This house was not only not cleaned prior to check-in, it was infested with cockroachs, has a dangerous electrical issue in the screened deck, had animal poop in the screened deck, had a leaking pipe in the master bedroom bathroom, and had poor communication from the property manager.

Tired property...nasty roaches/palmetto bugs

This property could use a strong dose of refresher maintenance. Cookware was rusty; couch was dirty; some dining chairs were broke/unstable; beds not comfortable. But, the absolute biggest turnoff were the roaches. Completely disgusted me. The property manager was very responsive and quickly sent an exterminator. However, I then spent the rest of the stay picking up dead bugs and wondering how many more there were that I didn't see.

Happy Ours is a a great getaway home from home

We had an amazing getaway vacation at this beautiful home during Christmas. A few highlights that we think it is amazing. Home was decorated with charming holiday decor which made it feel like home. Plenty of linens and blankets for everyone. kitchen essentials made cooking for group easy. Friendly neighbors on the block. Beach access is just a short walk away. A close by everything shop made it all easy. Vacasa provided 24/7 support for our needs when we experienced the flood in the area. Just a few suggestions to make this a supper star location that make everyone choose here for their getaway home. The living room carpet and sofa needs extra vacuum since it is a pet friendly home. Some trash bags and dish/laundry detergent was provided but not enough for a week of staying. It would be nice to provide enough of those essential items. The stove potentially would need an update in the near future. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this house and is looking forward to plan a future stay at this home away home.

Could be better…saw a few roaches

Good Location, easy walk to the beach access & easy drive to the four wheel beach area. The house is lacking A LOT of things that are needed while on vacation. The kitchen was not stocked hardly at all with any baking utensils and/or Tupperware, not many baking dishes either. Every morning we would find cockroaches on the counters or floors. The microwave is as small and old as you could get, we had to heat everything up 3x the normal amount. I would suggest to update all the appliances in the kitchen. Everything was either very very old or disgusting. Living room was beautiful and the couch was super comfortable. Bedrooms and baths were all decent sizes, although the beds were not cleaned under so there was a lot of dirt, dog hair and missing items from other tenants. The basketball goal is no longer at the rental so my older kids were a little bummed when we arrived. Outdoor seating was nice and we spent a good amount by the pool area, it gets a lot of sun and we were pleased by that! The house is located right at a cul de sac so our children brought their bikes and rode around the circle. Ice cream truck comes around too so be ready for that! All in all- wasn’t the worst trip but also wasn’t the best. House definitely needs updating and more effort towards the kitchen area & cleanliness.

Home Has Plenty of Potential, But Fell A Little Short

Loved the area and neighborhood. A bit off the beaten path from most OBX attractions, but very close access to the beach. The home is old. This would not be a problem if it was well maintained. There is plenty of space for a family. The great room and kitchen area was great for space for gathering and then the numerous and roomy bedrooms and multi level allowed for personal space as well. The sofa in the living room, however was filthy. We bought cheap blankets at the dollar general to cover it, because we refused to sit on it. All it needs is a good steam upholstery cleaning. The walls and baseboards are filthy. One of the outdoor swing bench things was broken. We didn't sit on any of the others because the chains and bolts connecting them were so rusted. The stove... I was surprised that it was still an electric coil stove. The drip bowls were so gross, we almost bought some of these from the Dollar General, because it's that easy... but decided we spent enough on the property and trying to make it livable for a week. One of the coils was bent and difficult to cook on. All of the saute pans were rusted and gross, there werea few sauce pans that were decent. We ended up buying a saute pan from the Dollar General as well. The microwave has been updated from the pics. The beds were clean. Clean linens. Bathrooms were clean.Pool was great.
