salut! Bienvenue chez Shell Cottage dans la belle Salvo sur Hatteras Island. Merci pour ton intérêt. Nous sommes situés dans une rue calme et à seulement 390 pieds de l'accès à la plage et à quelques minutes en voiture d'un parc de jour de plage sur le côté sonore. Bungalow de plage traditionnelle. Venez et profitez d'une escapade confortable et confortable! Ce bungalow de plage classique est propre, frais et confortable. Superbe escapade pour une couple ou une petite famille, un kite boarder et des surfeurs. Passez un bon moment de détente à notre belle plage, jamais bondée de sable doré. Profitez d'une excellente journée de pêche au surf ou de bronzage et sortez la nuit avec vos lampes de poche et poursuivez la chasse au crabe fantôme. Les routes sont calmes et sécuritaires pour marcher ou faire de votre vélo dans le parc d'usage quotidien. Éloigne-toi de l'agitation de la vie. Détendez-vous sur le pont la nuit et regardez le ciel plein d'étoiles, si près, vous sentez que vous pourriez les toucher, ou dans le porche filtré tout en profitant de votre barbecue de la grille à charbon fourni. Natation, pêche, surf ou kiteboard, planche à voile, kayak ou paddleboard sur le côté sonore. Le parc d'utilisation de jour de Salvo est parfait pour une famille avec des petits où l'eau est peu profonde et chaude. Rincer dans la douche extérieure! Magasin général à distance de marche. Beaucoup d'endroits pour louer des vélos, des planches, des kayaks, des engins de pêche, tout près. Que vous cherchiez de l'aventure ou que vous voulez vous détendre sur la plage, éloignez vos soucis et venez profiter de vacances simples, amusantes et relaxantes.

(Colony Dr. est une route de plage très calme, pas de circulation, sauf pour les résidents qui vivent ou passent leurs vacances dans la colonie de Hatteras). Les visites fréquentes du camion de crème glacée sont un plus!

The place is very cute and charming and great for a small family, however there was a strong smell of mildew in the kitchen for the duration of our trip and the charcoal was not usable given that there was a lot of rust on the grill. Overall I would recommend the place except for people with lung conditions and I would recommend that you do not plan on using the charcoal. The place would greatly benefit from a BBQ.

Lovely little cottage that is clean and well cared for. If you don’t need all the beeps and whistles of the large houses, this is the place for you. It has a full size stove, refrigerator, and stacking washer-dryer. Easy to do our dishes by hand as there is no dishwasher . Many nice touches. The screened in porch is a great place to read or chat. Was especially nice when the breezes came through. The outdoor shower was great and has plenty of pressure. The owner is quick to respond to messages.

Great little cottage

Perfect place for a family with pets. It was very well furnished and has everything you might need while you’re there. Very clean and easy check in process. Looking forward to staying again!

Great week.

We had a great time. The place was as advertised, a little smaller than I originally imagined but it does look like the pictures. Everything was clean. The only issue I could anticipate would be having to sleep with the doors open. As the AC does not have an access vent in the bedrooms or bathroom. If any of the doors are closed it immediately starts to get stuffy. Luckily it was just me and my wife so we did not mind leaving doors open, as we didn't have guest. So leaving doors open while showering or sleeping was not an issue. I would not recommend this place to peole who would need to keep doors closed while sleeping. It is perfect for a couple or small family.

Everything was just as advertised. The property was very clean, in a quiet neighborhood and a very short walk to the beach. If we are in the area again, we will see if the property is available .

Cozy Beach Cottage

Loved everything about the beach house. I do wish checkout was a little later. Would move it back 30 min to an hr at least. 10 am is a little early when you would like to grab breakfast and pack up all your gear without feeling rushed, especially if you are a fisherman and have a lot of tackle, coolers and other things to pack before departure.Great overall expirience. Love the rates as well. I appreciate the opportunity to have a place to stay as a recreational fisherman with my family. This is something that has become very difficult as a sportsman in NC, finding an affordable place to stay and also close to access to fishing spots, another thing we have lost to commercialization on many NC beaches, many of these locations we used to fish have become gated communities that only the very wealthy can enjoy. Very convienient to all needs. Thank you to the owner for offering a nice place to stay and I hope I get the opportunity to return one day. That is as long as the rates dont increase too much over time. There is a lot of young couples and families that need an escape from the busy life several of us live that many cant take due to cost of living challenges but this was just right for our family. Again, a very big thank you to the owner for making our dreams come true . 5 STARS!

Perfect place for a relaxing stay at the beach. Private, clean, close to the beach, and the perfect size for us as a couple. The location is wonderful, far from the crowds but close enough to stores, restaurants, and obx attractions. We loved it!

Almost Wonderful

3* experience which could easily have been a 5* experience. Little things like sheets not being on the beds, no coffee or hand soap or washcloths provided, the A/C spewing black specks over the dining table all week, the TV remote not working and a screen door which requires you to either lock everyone in or out added up to diminish our vacation a fair amount. The cabin and its surroundings were fine. Short walk to the beach on the Atlantic side, although with the high wind we found we much preferred the Sound side of the island. We bought and left hand soap, washcloths, AAA batteries, coffee, and canisters for the coffee so hopefully future guests will have a better experience. It also got cold at night and there were no extra blankets - a couple not-really blankets were left in the closet. That would have been nice.

This cottage is exactly what I think of when I think of a beach cottage. It is charming and cozy, and a very short, easy walk to the beach. We will definitely stay there again as soon as we can!

Great home away from home

Second year staying here and my husband and I both say it is perfect! The owner thinks of everything you need. It is very clean and walkable to beach. Between the house and the beauty of the OBX we had a great vacation!
