The cabin was as advertised. It was rustic and had basic accommodations. We ventured to iconic Leggs Inn for dinner, a 20 minute drive, which we enjoyed very much. Bed was ok. Great value compared to nearby hotels in Mackinaw City & St. Ignace. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a no frills and clean place to sleep.
Nice cabin on the lake, great fire pit. everything worked like it should. Richie is a really nice guy and keeps the place tidy. I will go back for another stay. PS: Cross village is close, so dinner at leggs in is a must.
The host, Richie is a really nice guy, that wants you to enjoy your stay. Having said that he needs to do a little maintenance if he wants repeat customers. My first time there was in the fall of 2020. It's a very rust nostalgic place, but over the years it's becoming a big run down. This was my third time there and I will continue to return. At least one more time. A bit of a disclaimer though: in all fairness he was hit by a pretty bad Ice storm this past winter and is working really hard to get things in shape.
It was a sweet little cabin. It could use some restoration of exterior. The shower was dirty. We were unable to shower in the morning of our overnight stay.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and if going back to the area would stay again. The bathroom definitely needs to be updated. we also noticed that some of the roof shingles were missing.
Great little waterfront cabin! We stayed for a long weekend of playing on the water. Access to the inland waterway is only 20 minutes away. Mackinaw only 10 minutes, and a good boat launch right next door. Rustic cabin charm was awesome. Reminded me of Canadian fishing trips with my dad.
