My husband and I enjoyed staying in this townhome during our stay for the Alley Loop! It is a very clean townhome, with a great steam shower, lovely living room, in a highly walkable part of town.
Staying 3 nights for Crested Butte Ultra. Convenient location a short walk to start line and downtown! Home is clean and well stocked. Beds were super comfortable with lots of extra pillows and blankets. Overall great stay and easy check-in/out.
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. It was conveniently located and had all the amenities we needed. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.
We stayed for a long weekend for a family event. House was within walking distance of everything. Kitchen was great. House was super clean. We had four adults and one teenager and we had more than enough room for everyone to stay comfortably.
The property has everything you need for a family get together. The location is great, everything in town is in walking distance. We rented Xcountry skiis and skied over to the trails directly from âhome â. We went up to the mountain resort which is a short 10 minutes drive away. We had a wonderful stay.
This property is in a great location within walking distance to Elk Street. We had a few issues arise while at the property and the owner was quick to address them. Overall a great spot to kick off my boys' Christmas break.
We're from the front range of CO and needed to get away, and absolutely love CB. We decided to just do a mellow new years eve celebration and visit friends in town.
This is a great place to stay, centrally located. Even though its a duplex of sorts, the place itself is roomy and private, and feels like its own.
Its really nice, love the heated floors too!
We had such a wonderful time over the Christmas holiday! The house was amazing, perfectly comfortable for our family (6 adults). The kitchen had everything we needed, bedrooms were all very comfortable. Kim was absolutely great to communicate with! We enjoyed being so close to walk down Elk St, catch the shuttle to the mountain, and walk to the market!! Highly recommend Frankâs Deli (near the market)! We will definitely be back!!
The property is centrally located, has a well apportioned kitchen, and a nice living area to hang out. Great nearby walking paths for walking your dog! Getting in and out was very simple which we appreciated. Heating is via heated floors which was quite nice.
Areas for improvement:
The bedding arrangement is not ideal. No king beds and one room has two twins.
Lightbulbs throughout the unit were a mix or warm light and white light. Odd and jarring.
Showers were not as clean as we would have liked. Shower caddies included.
Outdoor furniture is worn and could use replacement.
All this said we really enjoyed our stay and felt the unit was great for two couples and our furry friends. Thank you!
We had a wonderful stay at the Elk Cottage. It was mostly as the pictures describe, with the exception of the back patio fire pit, basically there wasn't one. The upper deck was lovely and the living area very comfortable. There is a washer and dryer, we had a bit of trouble with the spin cycle on the washer, it might just need a check up. The entrance is at the side of the house and there are renters in the front part of the house. The house is very private and we only saw the neighbors once. We brought our dog and he had a bit of trouble navigating steps up to the house, they are metal for catching snow and can hurt the paws. Overall, a lovely, comfortable stay in a great location in an amazing little town.
Our family stayed here for a week and loved the house and location! The house is stocked with plenty of essentials in the kitchen and has room to spread out. It is very close to Elk street (Crested Butteâs Main Street) which makes it easy to walk to restaurants. Even my 91 year old Dad walked to coffee every morning and dinner in the evening. We loved our stay and the convenience this home offered! Thank you!
This little gem is in the heart of it all! Steps from the Art Center, grocery and free shuttle. One block to historic Elk Avenue. Wonderful porches to enjoy your morning coffee or an afternoon nap! Owners Kim and Pete go out of their way to assure all your travel needs are met...the icing on the cake!
We loved everything about our stay! Itâs an easy walk to the central town. There was a park a block away to run our dog. The house was beautifully kept and had all the amenities we needed!
We enjoyed our family spring break trip to Crested Butte. The property is comfortable and well maintained. It is located close to Elk Avenue and the free shuttle to the ski area. The kitchen offers everything needed to prepare meals for the family. This is a great property within walking distance of shops and restaurants.
Fantastic kid friendly house right near downtown. The week between Christmas and New Years was great to be there, everything was walking distance, and there were plenty of toys for the kids.
This house has an amazing location in Crested Butte. Walk to parks, Elk Ave. shops and restaurants. Sledding is just down the street. My family and I are looking forward to coming back.
Everything was fabulous! Great location. Cottage was clean and comfortable! The host is wonderful and responds quickly to your questions. A very Nice place to stay especially if you have pets.
My husband went to Kansas University, Creighton (MBA), and then University of Nebraska (PhD). I went to Oklahoma State. We were mid-westerners who had never lived in the mountains until moving to Crested Butte with our three kids in 2014. Our kids take skiing, hiking, and biking for granted, but we don't! This place is incredible and you will fall in love with it if you haven't seen it before. If you are returning, we understand you!
This is the best location in town. You are close to everything, yet away enough to sleep at night. Town Park (volleyball, baseball, playground, basketball, art center concerts) is right outside the door, making for a great atmosphere. Rainbow Park is a block away and great place to grill and picnic. Elk Street is two short blocks. This is where the locals live, so not only surrounded by tourists.
I love the mountain feel of the house with the wood beams, fireplace, and historical looking windows. It's a traditional 1880's style mountain town cottage with added modern touches, like a steel handrail and steel shelving and granite in the kitchen. The decks face west and east so gets lots of sun or none depending on when you want it.
