The house was in a great location. Walking distance to Elk Ave. Loved the fact that two bedrooms were downstairs, the third upstairs and the living area in the middle. Privacy was nice.
We really enjoyed our stay here in Crested Butte. Perfect location for us: convenient to Elk Ave, the town shuttle, and the recreation path. The house is super cute and well stocked with everything you might need. There are a lot of stairs, but we actually found it really useful to have one floor between us and our teenagers ;) Hot tub was great after a long ski day. Would definitely stay here again.
Wonderful stay, wonderful location, quiet and comfortable
The house was in an excellent location. We parked the cars and didn't move them the whole week. Walking to the grocery store or to dinner is close, and taking the bus up to the mountain is convenient. We would stay again!
There were 4 of us (two couples) who spent 4 nights here attending the Crested Butte film festival. The best thing about the property was the location. We walked everywhere, and never needed our cars. We also appreciated the check in/check out times (noon for both).
After seeing the high ratings and positive reviews, we were surprised to find the house lacked cleanliness, and had not been properly maintained. The front steps and porch were in need of paint, and there was chipped paint on the walls in high traffic areas inside. The gas smell (which the host told us was not a problem) was so severe in the downstairs area that it required a fan and an open window at all times in order to tolerate it. The TV in the downstairs bedroom had a broken screen, and the remote didnât work. The linens on the beds were worn and appeared old.
The dining room table had not been cleaned and there were crumbs and sticky areas all over. The trash cans were dirty inside and out. One of the throw pillows on the master bed had visible stains on both sides.
We expected more, and by writing this review we hope corrections can be made to create a better environment for future guests.
My family had a wonderful time and felt so at home at this property. It had all the accomodations we could have asked for and it was great to be so close to Elk Street.
Great house in probably the best location in town, if you ask us. Across the street from the park and playground, and just 1.5 blocks from the 4-Way, where the shops & such begin - super easy to access, but on the side of town that gets far less traffic. Private yard with private hot tub plenty big enough for 4 adults plus a few kids. Good layout in the house, with 2 bedrooms (bunkbeds in one, queen in the other) + full bathroom on the entry level, kitchen & living room on the second floor, and a large bedroom (queen) with ensuite full bathroom on the third floor. Weâd stay here again in a heartbeat.
We loved the location and home! It is so close to the ski shuttle and main street. It was very nice and clean, but not so impeccable that I didn't feel comfortable living in the space with our toddler for the weekend. The kitchen was well stocked and Rachel was easy to communicate with.
We loved our stay. It was the perfect stay for the 5 of us. There was plenty of space to spread out and relax after a day of skiing. We were right at the base of Main Street and just 2 blocks from the bus stop for the bus that will take you up to the base for a day of skiing or snowboarding. The location couldnât be beat! We had 2 parking spaces right by the front door and the house is on a quiet side street with extra street parking if you need it. The host was quick to respond with any question or need that we had during our stay. Highly recommend staying here the next time youâre in town!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was super cozy and had the best location--just blocks from the ski bus and the fun downtown area. The host was also very helpful and responsive.
Absolutely fabulous place with great access to town and to rec path as well as MTB trails. The house is beautiful, very spacious, provided everything we needed including thoughtful inclusion of utility and doggie towels! I highly recommend and would stay again!
The home was perfect for our of family ski trip. We were able to stay for a month and weâre very pleased with the house, location and customer service from Rachel. She left us a welcome packet with special care and all the instructions we needed to feel at home.
The house is a three story duplex (you donât really see or hear the neighbors though - they have a completely separate entrance). There is a mud room, two bedrooms, a full bath and laundry room on the first floor. The second floor is an open, sun-lit kitchen, small balcony, dining and living room. On the third floor is a private loft/master bedroom and bathroom with a little desk area.
The internet was great. Two of us teleworked during the day and had no issues with connectivity or speed.
The hot tub was large and right outside the door with plenty of towels to dry off with. Rachel was very accommodating with our dog and that was so important for us to be able to bring him. Youâll love the âpoop loopâ as they call it. Itâs part of the cross country ski trail just down the street that dogs can run and play off leash. We went daily.
The house was so convenient to the grocery, town and the ski bus. Very easy to get around. We rarely needed our vehicles while in CB.
We highly recommend 701 or 703 Sopris for your next stay in Crested Butte. We have already started talking about our next ski trip and are ready to come up in the summer. We plan to stay at one of Rachelâs properties again.Donât miss out.
My famly and I stayed at this Crested Butte gem for a ski trip and will definitely be back!! Rachel was wonderful to work with - very responsive & helpful!! The private hot tub was a huge hit for my crew. We also loved the full kitchen & easy access to Elk Ave (main street with shops & restaurants).
Our group really enjoyed staying at this property. The proximity to town was perfect for dinners out and catching the bus to ski in the morning. We loved the private hot tub as well. The only drawback was the beds downstairs need to be upgraded for comfort.
Everything went well on our stay. CB is a cool town. The location is one block from Elk Ave and two blocks from the main intersection. Surrounded by other similar houses and a park down the street.
Kitchen was perfect for cooking meals for the three of us. Hot tub felt great after skiing T-bars all day.
We loved our stay at Rachel's house in Crested Butte. The house was a great fit for our extended family of 5. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the living areas were great for relaxing after a day on the slopes. The hot tub was a big hit as well. Rachel was very communicative and answered any questions we had very promptly.
Another wonderful feature of the house is its location. The free shuttle to the mountain is about a block away, and we never waited more than a couple of minutes for a bus. Historic and lively Elk Avenue was only another block away, and it was great to be able to walk down there for some shopping or dinner. We would love to come back again!
Townhome was as advertised. It was in a great location. Easy walk to town and to the 4 way us stop to get to the slopes. Hot tub was a nice size and was a good recharge at the end of the day.
Cross the street for outdoor concerts or a two minute walk to the free shuttle to go skiing. You also are minutes from downtown Elk Avenue or the grocery store. The perfect location!
