The house was livable and had everything we needed for our stay, but it could use a deep cleaningâespecially the carpet in the living room, which still had noticeable dog hair. While it didnât ruin our trip, a little extra attention to cleanliness would make a big difference. Otherwise, the location was great, and we had a good time overall.
Very clean and equipped well. Fully fenced yard allowed my dogs enjoying the snow, property manager was very responsive and helpful to fulfill all our needs.
Extremely clean and comfy home!! Plenty of space and great location. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful allowing for lots of relaxation. Love this cabin!!!!
Perfect size for our family. Fenced yard for our dog. Pretty convenient for our activities. Nice walking trail at end of the street. A good walk every morning with our dog.
We loved our stay and would definitely stay again! We needed a house with a fenced back yard so that we could bring our dog, and this fit the bill. The trail at the end of the street allowed us to take longer walks without being around traffic. The neighborhood was quiet and contributed to a relaxing time, yet it was not far from town, the lake and the dog park. The one issue we ran into was a missing HDMI cable for the Roku device, but the management company took care of it promptly. Oh, and the bakery next to the management company's office is crazy good!
Home could use updated clean furniture. Housekeeping needs to do a better job of cleaning. We have stayed in several homes and this home was not up to par compared to the rest . The location is great and shopping is close by.
Most of the pans were unusable and the carpet was riddled with stains, but the place was clean and the property management was amazingly responsive. Maintenance even came out when the water stopped running on day 2 of our 3 day trip. The water outage was awful, from 8-5, and I wish the utility notified the management company so we could be prepared for no toilets or showers that morning, but that'smy luck.
The yard was securely fenced and perfect for my dogs. South Lake Tahoe was beautiful, and it was nice to have safe accommodations that let me bring my animals. It wasn't too far to grocery stores or trails. We had a great time despite the utility blip.
The home was in a great location. The home itself was as described, roomy, clean spacious, had all the necessities. Kitchen appliances were very dated, but did the job. One thing that was bothersome was the backyard was filled with poop. I didn't want my dog tracking it into the house so I made my husband and sons walk the entire yard picking up poop so my dog didnt step in it and bring inside the house. Otherwise, it was a good stay.
Oh, and make sure you check that the coffee maker is working before you make the mistake of buying coffee creamer w/ a broken coffee maker. (like I did)
We just stayed up here for 4 days for my sons hockey tournament, and it was close to the rink and to everything else in South Lake Tahoe. The house was fine, although everything inside was quite dated and could use a nice upgrade.
The 2 issues we had were that the garage door wouldn't work, and since we had 2 cars and there was no street parking, we had to constantly open and close it manually. Also, the driveway was covered with 3-6 inches of solid ice, and the walkway hadn't been cleared and was frozen solid as well.
The driveway was so icy that we had to install chains just to move a 4wd truck in and out of it. Without them the wheels just spun.
Over the course of our stay my 65+ year-old Dad slipped and fell on the driveway, and I took a bad fall on the back deck from the ice.
I know that ice comes with a trip to Tahoe in the winter, but also thought that it wasn't unreasonable to have a safe walkway to get in and out each day. I would've cleared it myself but the only shovel on-site was broken, and there wasn't anything else helpful to use.
Also, it is a dog-friendly house, which was important to us as we had to bring our dogs. They were very clear that any left "messes" would result in a surcharge, however when we got there we found half-a-dozen "surprises" left from the previous occupant with a dog. It's no fun trying to clear dog crap that is frozen solid and not even from your own dog out of fear you'll get charged.
We loved our stay! So many great aspects of this rental property. There were a handful very minor downsides but they werenât bad enough to sway us from not staying again next time.Pros:- Large rooms And lots of space for a larger group.- Accepts animals for small fee but itâs so clean you canât tell animals have been there.- Fully fenced yard so you can let your dogs loose and or play in the snow privately.- Carpets are clean, appear new, and very soft!- Garage available for parking.- Kitchen stocked with all sorts of plating, utensils, coffee makers, toasters, etc. Plus a propane grill.- Everything is in great condition and well cared for.- Gas fireplace which made things cozy and homey.- Corner house so it was quiet and fairly private.- 3 TVâs with complimentary Spectrum cable, Netflix, and Disney with Hulu!!!- Welcome kit with coffee, tea bags, and a decent bottle of wine was so nice!Cons:- Lighting is a bit dim. Probably needs to have brighter bulbs.- The cupboard had lots of spices and seasonings but no cooking oil. We made due but the lack of oil stunk.- Heating in the upstairs area was spotty. There was a thermostat but it had to be cranked up to 68 before we felt it. Also, no AC. Not a problem in the winter, but summers may be tough. We are definitely planning to stay here again in the future!
This is definitely a hidden gem of a property! Plenty of space for everyone to have their space, and the best part is the fenced in yard for the dogs. It was very nice to be able to have them able to roam outside during the day and not have them attached to a leash 24/7. House is perfectly situated less than 15 minutes from everything.
The house had plenty of room and the big kitchen well stocked with cookware and dishes. Securely fenced backyard was great for the dogs. We would have liked a TV in the living room since we like to cook, eat and watch sports/movies while doing so. Overall a nice stay.
The place was exactly a lot better then advertised. Would highly recommended, house is pet friendly didn't smell, was well maintained. Would differently go back!!
The home was in a nice neighborhood, great location, perfect for us and our dog. We were able to walk him in the neighborhood, with trails at the end of the street. The gas fireplace was a plus and helped keep the home warm and cozy. Also like having a garage.
The house was perfect for our weekend get away. The kitchen had everything needed to cook, plenty of room for everyone to sleep (there was 8 of us). And the welcome gift was a very unexpected but extremely appreciated touch.. We will definitely rent again this summer.. Thank you
