Clear communication and easy check in and check out process.Pros:The place provides lots of beds and great for large parties. The spa is amazing. Peaceful backyard and in the summer i can imagine sitting out and enjoying the stars. The wood burning fire place provides a nice cozy area to hang out in and watch movies. Cons:The place is very dated. The carpets and flooring are dirty and worn. I didnât want to walk around barefoot. The cabinets in the kitchen are beyond full of stuff. It is pretty disorganized.Mind you i am a bit OCD with organization. The decorating is very random. There is the most eclectic random items on the wall, hanging or just sitting above cabinets. From a leopard ceramic to a Buddha head to countless Dream catchers. Crazy posters. I would say someone needs to just go through the place and declutter. The boys and I enjoyed are stay but would most likely not reserve this place again.
We had a great time in the cabin - the weather was not the best but everything we needed was right there for us to use. We watched football on the TVs, read books by the wood stove, watched the snow build, and overall relaxed. Kitchen had all the cooking essentials, bathrooms were tidy (although the tall folks in the family had a little trouble showering because of heights of the showerheads but nothing major). I would absolutely stay again with hopes of less rain and snow to be able to enjoy the area more. We did manage to hike behind the cabin before and during some of the lighter snows, and had some coyotes wander through several times.
We had such a lovely time the minute we walked into the place it felt comfortable and just like home . The hot tub was a bonus. And we even got visited by a bear. I hope we can rent this property in the future thank you very very much.
House was clean and everything worked. Hot tub was a hit. Simple check in and departure. Would go the again. Wish I brought my clubs. Two golf courses within a mile
We absolutely loved this property! It was spacious and cozy! The amenities were everything we wanted/needed and them some. The location is scenic, quiet and convenient to South Lake Tahoe. The hot tub is well maintained and a great feature. I had little need to interact with the host because everything was wonderful...but she was informative and made clear she was available if needed. Highly recommend this property for families or adult groups.
Great rustic Lake Tahoe cabin! The beds were comfortable, the cabin is well stocked and the location is perfect! (And the hot tub was a special treat!) Great communication and clear instructions as well.
Great location, and awesome back landscape. House is older but totally functional. Could use a better cleaning, dust bunnies were residing there. Otherwise, had pretty much everything we needed for our stay including a nice big hot tub.
House is easy access from Highway 50 coming from Sf area. Check-in process easy and smooth. House is rustic but very comfy and fully stocked. Feels like a real house/home not a bland, empty rental. Driveway is flat & easy, multiple cars. Market closeby. Hot tub great. Wood burning stove great. An excellent choice
We just made our second trip out here and enjoyed it very much, once again. I particularly love the little extras like use of garage, hot tub overlooking beautiful forest, snowshoeing out in the forest.
The cabin was in a perfect location. Close to ski rental shops, groceries, gas, and more importantly had an incredible space in the backyard. We had a great time sledding and playing in the snow in the backyard and were only 15 minutes away from Sierra at Tahoe for our ski days. The hot tub and wood-burning fireplace was amazing and really made the whole experience. But the house itself, while having 4 bedrooms, was just so overwhelmed with the owners things and an abundance of lamps and furnishings that it felt very small. All of the tchotchkes crammed into the house were quite dusty and just made the space feel very cramped and not very clean. Everything was very dated, but in good working condition. My group enjoyed our stay, but I donât know that Iâd stay again.
We enjoyed Charles' home near Meyers. It is in a great location. There are a lot of coyotes around, so watch your pets there!! The place is dated but has charm to it. Charles was very responsive in helping with a miscommunication when we arrived, which was solved quickly. Our adult children enjoyed the hot tub a lot. We wish the weather would have been better when we were there, but we made the best of it!
This was another relaxing visit to this cabin. We had time to hike from the Big Meadow trailhead and from Carson Pass. Both locations are easy to get to from this cabin. We hope to back again next year.
Hi! My name is Lisa Eisenberg and I've grown up spending time in Tahoe and visiting this cabin as a kid, with my dad, and now with my husband and 7-year-old. My dad, Chuck, bought this cabin in the 1970s and it's been a cherished family getaway since. My dad spent 30 years as a volunteer for the National Ski Patrol and we've skied virtually every downhill resort and explored most of the backcountry terrain in the area. Tell me what you want to do during your visit to Lake Tahoe and let me "be your guide". I work in the health care and education fields. I live in Berkeley and my dad lives in Davis.
My dad originally purchased this property when he was living in Lake Tahoe in the late 70's and have maintained it as a second home and a rental property since 1982. The cabin is ideally located in a quiet subdivision with great winter and summer access. It's near both Heavenly Valley and Sierra-At-Tahoe Ski areas and close to the lake, but not "too" close so you can escape the summer crowds. There's easy access to shopping and a myriad of outdoor activities.
Unlimited year-round activities in the beautiful Lake Tahoe basin. The cabin is outfitted with everything you need to enjoy an amazing time at Lake Tahoe -- all within easy reach. This place is well loved and comes with a lot of character. We welcome you to join our family tradition!
