Great rustic Lake Tahoe cabin! The beds were comfortable, the cabin is well stocked and the location is perfect! (And the hot tub was a special treat!) Great communication and clear instructions as well.
We absolutely loved this property! It was spacious and cozy! The amenities were everything we wanted/needed and them some. The location is scenic, quiet and convenient to South Lake Tahoe. The hot tub is well maintained and a great feature. I had little need to interact with the host because everything was wonderful...but she was informative and made clear she was available if needed. Highly recommend this property for families or adult groups.
Great location, and awesome back landscape. House is older but totally functional. Could use a better cleaning, dust bunnies were residing there. Otherwise, had pretty much everything we needed for our stay including a nice big hot tub.
We just made our second trip out here and enjoyed it very much, once again. I particularly love the little extras like use of garage, hot tub overlooking beautiful forest, snowshoeing out in the forest.
This was another relaxing visit to this cabin. We had time to hike from the Big Meadow trailhead and from Carson Pass. Both locations are easy to get to from this cabin. We hope to back again next year.
We enjoyed Charles' home near Meyers. It is in a great location. There are a lot of coyotes around, so watch your pets there!! The place is dated but has charm to it. Charles was very responsive in helping with a miscommunication when we arrived, which was solved quickly. Our adult children enjoyed the hot tub a lot. We wish the weather would have been better when we were there, but we made the best of it!
The cabin was in a perfect location. Close to ski rental shops, groceries, gas, and more importantly had an incredible space in the backyard. We had a great time sledding and playing in the snow in the backyard and were only 15 minutes away from Sierra at Tahoe for our ski days. The hot tub and wood-burning fireplace was amazing and really made the whole experience. But the house itself, while having 4 bedrooms, was just so overwhelmed with the owners things and an abundance of lamps and furnishings that it felt very small. All of the tchotchkes crammed into the house were quite dusty and just made the space feel very cramped and not very clean. Everything was very dated, but in good working condition. My group enjoyed our stay, but I donât know that Iâd stay again.
Beautiful home nestled in the trees with a beautiful field area view in the back. Chuck the owner couldn't have been nicer. Great instructions also. Thank you!
Great location, in a quiet neighborhood. Chuck left detailed instructions for everything we could have asked. The place is dated, but somehow it adds to the charm. Lots of beds and space for kids. Also, the hosts' art collection was interesting - a lot of cool pieces. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. We rate it 15/15 dreamcatchers.
A very memorable stay for our granddaughters. From frogs to butterflies, bear cubs to blue Jays, cayote cubs at play, wildflowers and they surly will not forget the little field mouse. The cabin is very well equipped. Our stay was beautiful. Nothing like summer in South Lake Tahoe. Thank you Chuck!
We had a wonderful stay here. It is an older cabin, but very comfortable and well stocked. Very quiet neighborhood with national forest property out the back door.
We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin retreat. Itâs the perfect spot to enjoy a hike through the meadow and relax in the hot tub afterwards. Conveniently located near grocery store and short distance into town. If you want the shuffle without the hustle this place is for you. Spend the day in town by the lake and enjoy a glass of wine on the cabin deck while enjoying peaceful night sky.
Hi! My name is Lisa Eisenberg and I've grown up spending time in Tahoe and visiting this cabin as a kid, with my dad, and now with my husband and 7-year-old. My dad, Chuck, bought this cabin in the 1970s and it's been a cherished family getaway since. My dad spent 30 years as a volunteer for the National Ski Patrol and we've skied virtually every downhill resort and explored most of the backcountry terrain in the area. Tell me what you want to do during your visit to Lake Tahoe and let me "be your guide". I work in the health care and education fields. I live in Berkeley and my dad lives in Davis.
My dad originally purchased this property when he was living in Lake Tahoe in the late 70's and have maintained it as a second home and a rental property since 1982. The cabin is ideally located in a quiet subdivision with great winter and summer access. It's near both Heavenly Valley and Sierra-At-Tahoe Ski areas and close to the lake, but not "too" close so you can escape the summer crowds. There's easy access to shopping and a myriad of outdoor activities.
Unlimited year-round activities in the beautiful Lake Tahoe basin. The cabin is outfitted with everything you need to enjoy an amazing time at Lake Tahoe -- all within easy reach. This place is well loved and comes with a lot of character. We welcome you to join our family tradition!
