Great view but needs work

Renting process was easy but house didn’t deliver on everything listed or shown on listing. Outside of house needs work, siding needs paint and repair in many areas; screened porch has ripped screens and a broken door appears to be used to house 2 grills 1 charcoal 1 gas not for sitting in. Open deck has a table but only 3 chairs that go with table and 1 that is too high to sit at table, so unable to eat outdoors unless you want to drag out dining room chairs which is a shame as the view of the lake is gorgeous from the deck. Inside of house is spacious and accommodating

Great view, amenities and customer service could be improved

Our family stayed for 3 nights at this property and found the home and layout itself to be rather nice. However, we did have some minor setbacks upon arriving which included wifi, cable and phone connectivity issues. We reached out to Taylor-Made Deep Creek Vacations & Sales and spoke with Christa about it, however, her conversations with us about a follow-up were rather curt and quite disappointing. The company was able to fix the technical problems, and we were later able to get in touch with the general manager, Sheila, who helped resolve our concerns at the end of our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and would recommend that the kitchen and bathroom toiletry items be more fully stocked (e.g. only one dishwater tablet, one roll of toilet paper in some bathrooms, etc.). The view itself is incredible and the hikes in the area are a great activity to do with the family.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful and very accommodating. The kitchen was well equipped but some of the silverware was not clean. The hot tub quit working on the last day which was a bummer. It would be nice to have a trash receptacle nearer to the house rather than taking all the way to the pool. Front door steps could use a hand rail.

It rained off and on and was only in the low 70's. We enjoyed the mountain coaster and ski lift. The swimming pool was great. The public beach was nice. The property was well maintained except that the walls need painted and freshened up. The BBQ grill needed cleaned. It kept starting grease fires There should be tvs in all the bedrooms. We ended up spending more time inside because of the weather. The last two days were more enjoyable because it finally got nice

Give and Take

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were disappointed with this home’s amenities, but luckily the lake provided such a beautiful distraction that we tried to overlook its shortcomings. The throw pillows and comforters were old and falling apart, the knives were dull, baking and cookware very overused and needed to be replaced. Bowls and glassware were chipped, outdoor seating was rusted and had holes in the fabric. The food to the grilling area was broken and hard to open, and the exterior paint was chipping and falling off. There was no towel rod in the main floor powder room, and a knob was missing from the living room coffee table. Positively, the office promptly helped us with some issues and were wonderful with which to work. The front desk employee was cheerful and amicable, as were those with whom I spoke to over the phone. Overall, I am disappointed that we spent so much money for home in great disrepair. We were hoping to getaway before some big personal events in our lives, but the little things began to add up and distract pretty quickly. We will not be back to this location. Moreover, I am a bit frustrated that it was touted as such a luxurious place to stay. The standards of quality were not met in this home by any means.

Great view from the outside but needs work on the inside

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was located on top of the mountain ski resort. Breath taking views from the large windows and doors made a morning cup of coffee or evening with family even more enjoyable. The gas fireplaces definitely provided a cozy touch as well. Condo was spacious and accommodating. However, upon our arrival we found dirty dishes in the dishwasher, dirty sheets on the beds, dirty towels in the bathrooms, large scuff marks on dozens of walls, etc. The lack of cleanliness made the stay there a little less enjoyable.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Kitchen poorly equipped. Most pots and pans should be thrown away. Pans were dirty and greasy. Overall cleanliness of the unit was below average. High Def TV but connected to cable box with low def composite cable. Very few channels. Sheets that were provided were so worn out they had rips and holes. Arrived at unit and found trash sitting in front yard by driveway. Management company should have noted this before renting unit. Great location and great view. However, the unit has been road hard and put away wet. In short: Not that clean (kitchen items were gross), poor amenities, No garage access. You can find better units in Overlook Villas for the price.

Cold Showers!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice unit, but lacking amount of dishes, utensils, cooking utensils, pots and pans, towels, etc. for amount of people that can be slept. Also, the hot water heater was terrible. Many of us took cold showers throughout the weekend, because it could not keep up after a couple of showers. I would recommend getting a second hot water tank and/or an on demand system.

Great Views!

The house is very close to the state parks and the lake so it was very easy to find things to do in the area. The views from the back side of the house were gorgeous. The rental company was very quick to respond to a small leak under the sink. We also liked the quick check out process. The only complaint we had was that the kitchen wasn't well stocked with supplies/utensils as some of the other houses we've stayed in before. You could definitely see the age in some of the cookware. We actually went out to buy some frying pans since the ones at the house were really scratched up and not useful.

Took the mountain coaster ride on Wisp mountain. Ate at the nice Green Turtle. Loved it all. Will def return to this house. ??

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Once again our "happy place" lived up to our expectations. We look forward to it for a year and hate when it ends. But...we're looking forward to next year already. The only 'real' complaint was that we never really got REAL SUNNY kept trying...but never was great. Obviously, no one's fault and it didn't keep us from having another great year at 'the lake'. (Havre de Grace mispelled below).((We used to own this same model in The Overlook, so we love 'remembering'.Not crazy about the arrangement of the furniture in the 'great room', but I'm guessing they expect the downstairs tv room to be the primary 'communal' area. Hoping you don't print these minor criticisms, they're more just 'constructive criticisms'. Just wish we'd booked and stayed two weeks, instead of just one. Had great times at Uno's, Greene Turtle, Pine Lodge pub and Mountain State.

Great vacation home

Reviewer Comments: What first impressed us with the house is the SPECTACULAR view from the living room, which you greets you as you walk in the front door. The house is VERY roomy. The stairs are steep but climbable for all but senior citizens (or those who have trouble with stair climbing). The neighborhood was quiet and conveniently located. Taylor made provided good customer service from almost all of its specialists. The house can be made toddler-friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Awesome Place!

Hot Tub was broken for the weekend, but the techs were on site promptly to fix the issue. We were issued a credit for losing the amenity for the weekend. No complaints
