Gorgeous cabin with (limited) view of the mountain, quiet convenient location with a few other cabins closeby. comfortable bed, nice shower with good water pressure- both sidespray and rain shower head above-enjoyed the amenities- jacuzzi tub, small indoor pool, and sauna, outdoor gas fire pit, and 2 indoor gas fireplaces. The pool had a good amount of sediment in it when we arrived-possibly in part to the waterfall over the stone. I texted the elk springs staff to have someone vacuum the pool - they were very responsive and had someone out a few hours later when we were out- but they only got 50% of the sediment out- seems like they don't have the right kind of vacuum tools to clean well. Chemically the pool was fine. Water quality was okay-we were surprised to find a very loud alarm on the door going into the pool area, and the door going out of the pool area onto the back patio that you had to turn off every time you walked through and some kind of anti drowning alarm on the pool itself - that were very loud and I wish I had a heads up or warning or instructions before hand- had to figure it out on the fly- I thought a security company or police would show up. It was very disconcerting. That being said once we figured that all out it was wonderful to come back from a full day hiking and soak in the pool/ jacuzzi, and enjoy the sauna. There was also a pool table which was fun and an arcade video game we didn't use. It was great to have an electric charger too (Pay on app)

4th of July Weekend Hideaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was fabulous. The only unexpected item was the garage door by the pool is locked in place and cannot be used. In the photos, it is operational so that was a little disappointing but certainly didn’t affect our mood. Additionally, there was no hair dryer so we bought one and left it for the next guest.

2/10 Horrible

Disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Text on the way up to the cabin the fire pit was not working. Pool was not clean even after 2 workers cleaned it. Second guy said this was the worst pool for bugs getting in it. Description says Mountain View? Turns out as the girl told me it’s seasonal! Very disappointed. I asked Monday to be moved to another cabin and the girl said nothing was available that was comparable. I went online and found 3 cabins available for the 2 remaining nights. I have pics text and to back this up. All I ask for was a view and fire pit. My wife have been taking a few days each summer to relax. It was far from it.
Réponse de VrboOwner le 24 juil. 2026

Your comments have been shared with our management team for review as we continue working to improve our guest experience. We truly hope to have a better opportunity to serve you.

Elk Springs Urban Cowboy Rental

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a great time staying at this honeymoon cabin with my husband for a quick getaway. Besides a couple minor issues with the slow bathroom drain everything else was perfect. We definitely plan to stay here again. Just a heads up that the upstairs fireplace timer was not worker, so we had to turn it off manually. Elk Springs was great to work with and responded quickly to all my questions prior to our stay and following.

Romantic get away gone awry

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This stay started off great. We never got a honeymoon so got one 47 years late. Property was beautiful, and the place was spotless. Everything looked just like the photos. The waterfall pool, jetted jacuzzi, sauna, etc. all enticing. However, when my wife used the jacuzzi tub, and got out, the jets would continue to turn on and off on their own. We got maintenance out, and he showed us how to do it right. Okay. So she uses it again while I watch, and guess what? Jets started turning on by themselves every 10 minutes. She would flip breaker on and off, and problem fixed. Then the porch light blew out when we went to take garbage out. Not a good situation with bears everywhere foraging . I will give them a pass on that. Then the overhead fan started making weird noises as if it was going to come out of the socket and fall. We think it was off kilter, but could not reach it. The squeaking got louder and louder with use. Could not use that, either. We heard bear at garbage can. My wife went to look out the front door window, and found she was standing in a pool of water! Opened the door to utility closet, and the pan under the heater/AC unit was overflowing with water into utility closet. Took all of our towels to mop it up so it would not damage pool table wood legs. We called emergency number. No response until 8 am. She was up mopping every 2 hours to ensure no damages incurred or that we would slip and fall. There is no emergency crew to handle big things at night. It is 9-5pm. We only had 6 towels so had to wash and dry everything. We were both exhausted, and were dragging the following day. So did not have much fun. Yes, maintenance came and ( I think)fixed the issue and put in a new light bulb. Nothing done for the rug coming into the cabin which was soaked. He hung it outside to dry which did not work as the remnants of a hurricane came with flooding rain. So we wrung it out and left it inside. Maintenance was really useless in a serious situation.
