Un séjour est d'avoir rien à faire et toute la journée pour le faire.
SituĂ© dans une forĂȘt ancienne d'environ un mile de la ville est le Cottage Ă  New Buffalo. Le chalet comme neuf dispose de trois chambres, deux salles de bains plus grande mezzanine et est dĂ©corĂ©e dans un motif de chalet confortable. De beaux jardins fleuris et de sentiers pĂ©destres entourent la maison.
Le chalet est à environ un mile et demi de la plage qui est une belle région avec un grand parking. A quelques miles plus loin sur la route est la belle Warren Dunes qui a une plage magnifique.
Nous sommes proches de tout, mais suffisamment privés pour profiter de la paix et du calme si vous le souhaitez. Veuillez noter que toutes les annulations initiées par des voyageurs seront facturées 100 $. 00 frais d'annulation.

A Great Getaway

We loved our stay here! This property was exactly what I had hoped it would be - a comfortable and casual home with a dream of a porch and every convenience. We loved the community pool and lovely neighborhood for a quick walk. The house was so welcoming and communicating with the owners was a breeze. A great home base for exploring the area!

A wonderful place to relax and unwind!

This property is fantastic! It is in a subdivision, but the older trees, and other greenery make this so incredibly private you feel like you are in the woods. The screened in porch and outdoor space is quite expansive. There are so many little areas where you can gather as a group, or enjoy some time to yourself. The fire pit is terrific for smores, and the hot tub was a great feature for cooler evenings.

Comfortable and quiet

We had a very pleasant stay. The house was clean and well stocked. Plenty of space in doors and out. The large screened in porch was a great place to hang out with the kids. And of course the pool was a hit with the kids!

Second time renting this house

We stayed here a few years ago, and it was the first place we thought of when coming back with some family. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the owner is a pleasure to work with. The pool is great for days not spent at the beach and the hot tub is a bonus! it's the ideal place to get away from it all.

Wooded Retreat

Property was lovely and presented even better in person than the photos. Our family of 8 included 4 young kids - we all had plenty of space. The master was a dream as was the cozy kids bedroom. The home is very clean and well maintained with plenty of linens and supplies. The wooded location makes you feel like you are in the deep woods yet you’re so close to everything. The pool was perfect and family friendly, we had it to ourselves most of the time. Anything you need or want is a 5-10 min drive. Main highways take you into any shore town. We saw beautiful deer nearly daily on the trail behind the house. On the hottest days, the central A/C was powerful and movie nights were easy with new smart TVs in the two family rooms. Cooked in the homey kitchen daily as well. When we encountered an appliance issue, the owner was super responsive and took care of it immediately. The screened in wrap-around porch was a Lifetime movie set - reading books listening to the rain. Great home for families, friends or couples. Welcoming neighborhood and easy location. Don’t hesitate to stay here.

Nice place for family to gather

We enjoyed our stay. The house was delightfully decorated with a collection of fun wall, and nicknack decore. It is in great location where the town/beach is just a quick mile up the road. The community pool is just steps away, and the hot tub is on one of the decks. We used them both daily.The screened in decking around the house provided pockets of sitting areas for individual quiet time, and larger areas for family fun. If you forget a simple item from home, chances are you will find it there like games, kiddie pool, bag chairs, bug spray, firewood, basic kitchen and bathroom necessities, blankets, towels, soaps etc. If you ever have a question, the host, Diane, is always available in a timely manner. Her main concern was that my family was having a pleasant vacation. Thank you Diane for sharing your wonderful home with us.

Family, Food and Fun

Our family enjoyed staying at Diane's cottage. She was a wonderful host, easy to get a hold of anytime and provided lots of great info about the area. She went above and beyond to provide start up supplies especially stuff for smores( big hit with the kids). We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the closeness of the lake and town for activities. My mom loves to cook and appreciated the large kitchen area.

Great Location

The location is very convenient for taking advantage of restaurants and activities in New Buffalo and Michigan City. It is right off of route 12 in a wooded community and very quiet and peaceful. The weather was uncomfortably hot the week we were there and a storm knocked out the electricity for 2 days, but the owner kindly allowed us to stay on a couple of days at no extra cost. The house is spacious and we made use of the amenities, ie. the grill, the wonderful front porch and the pool with our grandchildren.

Very Enjoyable Vacation Rental

The house is an inviting two story home with the top floor housing the master bedroom and bath. Two additional bedrooms are on the main floor. There is a large screened in porch which we really enjoyed. The home is a short ride to downtown New Buffalo which is next to a nice beach which has a play area for kids. We stayed for three weeks and enjoyed our stay very much.

Property is set among trees and lovely plantinnmmmgs. The pool is clean and spacious.

Our 6 family members of varying ages all had fun. House had everything we needed. In fact it was over equipped and could use some clearing out of extra furnishings such as towels. Porches are all screened; there are many places to sit and enjoy the trees and birds. Hot tub is a nice feature. Only negative was that the gas tank for the grill was empty. We would return.

Quiet and Relaxing

I just wanted to let you know that we had an amazing time last week at your house. The décor in the house is absolutely amazing I just love all of your stuff. My kids loved having their own space and they were so excited about the pool, we spent most of our days in it. I hope we can return to your house one day. Fabulous lake house in New Buffalo

This lake house is wonderful. It is located in a quaint wooded community with a pool. The property is secluded which makes you feel at one with nature. Loved seeing deer walk right by us as we relaxed on the hugh screened in porch. Great location to be able to enjoy the lake and all the area offers. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed and the beds were super comfy. We plan to return and definitely want to stay here again!

Wonderful rental, quiet neighborhood!

My husband and I and our two adult children, along with our son's friend, thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful home. This was our first time in the New Buffalo, MI area and we would love to return next summer. Having a full size washer and dryer available was a definite plus. The pool was also a nice feature, as on our last day, though beautiful outside, there was a beach hazard warning due to high waves. So we enjoyed the afternoon lounging at the pool instead. On two separate occasions, we had some deer come to visit in the neighborhood, which was a fun sight to see. I would add to the rental information to list the sizes/types of the beds available in each room. The listing does state it accommodates 6, but in the two downstairs bedrooms alone, there are enough beds to accommodate 6 people (a double and twin in one room and a twin and bunkbeds in the other). Then there is another bed in the upstairs master, as well, to accommodate 2 more people. The upstairs master suite was amazing and extremely relaxing, with its own private screened in porch and gorgeous garden tub/jacuzzi. The coffee maker is a Keurig, not a full-size coffeemaker; so it might be good to update the listing to let people know that. I would highly recommend this property to friends and family, and encourage future renters to explore the area, as there are many places off the beaten path that we discovered, traveling on the Red Arrow Highway that runs through the area. Barney's grocery store is only about 1.5 miles down the road and it is a full-service grocery, where we found everything we needed. This area is home to several micro-breweries and craft beer places that are fun to visit. There is even a distillery tour you can take at Journeyman's Distillery, which is close-by. All in all, we had a great time and would love to return to this beautiful home again.

Great House!

We had a wonderful week in Michigan staying at this house. It had everything we needed and more! The screened in porch was lovely, and the community pool was great for days when the waves at the beach were to big to swim.

Enjoyed our stay.

Our family has stayed at this cottage many times. We always come back because we love the place. We feel comfortable while there. Love to spend the day at the pool, beach or touring and return to the cottage later in the day. Sometimes we cook there and other times go to one of the area's great restaurants. The large porch is wonderful for socializing or just reading a book. Whatever we do we always leave with the feeling "it's a good thing we found this place." The owners are also very nice to deal with.

This has been a wonderful month. I have fallen in love with this little enclave, the trees, the birds and most of all this home. It wraps it's arms around you the moment you walk in. I will truly miss these double doors that open to the screen porch. Everything was just perfect!

Beautiful gardens, complete relaxation

This home is beautiful! It's just a few blocks from the downtown action and beach but it seems like you're a million miles away. We sat outside late into the night just listening to the sounds of nature. The place is so relaxing.

A week, a month, a year!!!

I am somewhat hesitant to write how I felt about my stay at the Cottage at New Buffalo. (I'm afraid that if I want it back, it will be rented and unavailable!!!) I am a writer and was looking for a getaway nook in the woods. As soon as I walked in the door, I knew I had found the place people would dream of! Spacious, welcoming, well-appointed and a great place to relax. The great room with the corner fireplace screamed at me! The decks and outdoor areas in every direction invited me to stay and enjoy nature. The upstairs bedroom and sitting area is cosy and roomy at the same time. I planned to stay for a month and didn't leave for seven!!!! The best value in the area!!!! Seriously... take a look! Mary, Illinois

I'm from the west Chicago suburbs. My husband and I bought this property new, and loved planting and watching the trees and gardens grow. I'm a widow now, so I don't get up there as often, but I do try to make it up during the holidays with my grandkids. Winters are also beautiful here.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We're just far enough from downtown to enjoy the quiet and peacefulness of a forest-like property. We enjoy the beautiful star-filled nights. I love sitting on the screened-in deck when it rains. It's very dark at night! Be careful and take the flashlights with you. It's a two-minute drive into town, the beach, kayak rentals, hiking, shopping and eating. We offer the best of both worlds.

The forested property. Take a walk around the neighborhood and checkout the beautiful homes. It's not uncommon to see deer families looking at you curiously. We've even seen wild turkeys.
