The house is in a great location between two great cities and some amazing hiking trails. The property manager also did an amazing job of making sure our stay went well - she even provided a crock pot when we asked for one. We would stay here again.
The property had everything needed for a stay up in Acadia, from kitchen supplies to general household items. Location was also great to get to all the various areas of the Park and not deal with the busiest areas. Great overall stay!
Great place and perfect location. It is a few minutes from Acadia and about 12 minutes to Bar Harbor - the best of both worlds. The house was extremely clean and if we ever come back, we would stay here again!
The property was exactly as described. Clean and well appointed. Amanda was very responsive. We loved being able to walk to the ocean and the bee hive!
It was perfect for our family to enjoy being out of the way, but close enough to walk the trails, go into the little towns, get food and supplies. We loved it and made great memories there. Thanks for sharing
We book this house whenever it's available for one of our trips to Acadia. A lovely, simple home, beautifully decorated and with a great walk down to otter cover. Amanda is a terrific host and we're always so happy when we can stay at her property!
15 minutes to *everything* you want out of Acadia at a fraction of the price of Bar Harbor. Wonderful hikes right from the front door. Would definitely stay here again
Everything was great! Very good location to Acadia and Bar Harbor.
The one thing that was a small issue or an annoyance was that the dryer squeaked very loudly at times for several minutes and then would stop. Otherwise it was great.
Clean, quiet, nicely decorate, well equipped, ample room for six, close to trails, and easy communication with the host, Amanda. Very welcoming and comfortable. Nice to call "home" for our visit to Acadia.
Great place and quiet neighborhood for a family of 4. Central location to various Acadia attractions/hikes and a quick drive (10-15 mins) to downtown Bar Harbor.
Thank you Amanda for your hospitality! We loved the charm of the house, all the little touches you had to make it feel like home, and its close proximity to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We loved hiking into Acadia from the house!!
Otter Cove is the perfect location. Close to Bar Harbor, Acadia, and Seal Harbor. The house was clean and had everything we could need for our stay. We loved the trails off the dead end road, the fire pit, and the washer/dryer. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay at Otter Cove.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage! Amanda was an amazing hostess and even made an âessentials groceryâ run prior to our arrival! The cottage is in a quiet location but easy access to either side of Mount Desert Island!
We were there the first week of June 2024. The place was perfect for us with one bedroom having two beds. Not far from Acadia and Bar Harbor. Amanda checked in on us and replied to all of our text or Vbro messages right away.
My husband and I loved our stay. We were able to walk to all of our hikes from the rental wothout having to use our car. Nice, quiet, and relaxing place for those wanting to be away from the crowds!
We had an absolutely wonderful time in Maine. This place was perfect for our family of 4. The kitchen is outfitted for anyone who wants to cook there which we did.
Itâs close to the National park and to Bar Harbor but not a crazy busy area.
I highly recommend this place for your home away from home on vacation
Had a great 3-day stay despite rain & colder than avg temp for late May. Amanda was a great hostess, responding right away to a couple texts I sent. We arrived an hour before checkin and appreciated being able to get settled in early. In addition to being very close to many trails, this home is the most comfortable we have ever booked. Super comfortable mattresses & bedding. Several nightlights. Shades kept out the morning light. We slept great. The cottage is bigger than it looks from the outside. Amanda has thought of everythingâAcadia placemats, coasters & artwork. There was salt and pepper, garlic powder, foil, paper towels & sandwich bags. No dishwasher but not a problem. Nice pans & utensils. Plenty of dish towels & potholders. We cooked most of our meals, grilled once & enjoyed eating together at the big table in the kitchen. Everything was bright & clean. We werenât asked to, but we took our shoes off at the door to try & keep the floors nice since they looked so clean when we arrived. There were hooks by the door for jackets and a rubber tray for shoes. The L-shaped couch was comfortable for watching TV. Our 2 sons enjoyed lounging on it while watching YouTube (good WiFi). We watched a couple movies and even played Bar Harboropoly. Amanda has several Acadia guide books that we used. We washed & dried several loads of clothes. Weather kept us from hiking as planned but this home is perfect for relaxing & spending time together so we still had a great time in Acadia.
