A week of relaxation!

We had a great time! Close to Bar Harbor. When we didn’t go out we just enjoyed sitting by the water and watching boats and wildlife!

Great Location/Terrible Well Water Experience

The house is beautifully set in a great secluded location, right on the water, not too far from Acadia National Park/Bar Harbor. We loved watching the loons on the water and the other waterfowl from the back patio and from the great room. The house is a beautiful house. We did however have trouble with the well water. It was dark and had an odor. However, Dean said it had never been like that before and I am sure he has already taken care of the situation. We were thankful that Dean refunded half our money because of the problem. I would recommend staying here. It really was like living in paradise. We just wished we didn't have the trouble of the well water.

The area and house are beautiful. Just a heads up that check in isn’t until 4PM and checkout is at 10am with a fair amount of chores to do (a consideration in costing as you more or less lose a day)

Amazing place!

We had a magical week at Timberpoint, something for all. If you just want to chill and relax, no need to leave the property. Kayak, read, fire pit..if you want to hike , bike, fish …all within reach. We did a family charter fishing trip out of nearby Bass Harbor we will never forget. So much fun. Highly recommend this property and hosts!

Wonderful Stay at Timber Point

Our short stay at Timber Point was wonderful. Dean, the owner, is quick to respond with answers to our questions. The property is clean, beds comfortable, kitchen and dining area suited our group of 7. Everything was in working order and the views were impressive. We went on walks and the area is quiet with very little traffic. We highly recommend staying at Timber Point.

Great property, great location, great amenities

Early spring Maine/Acadia trip, and this property was the perfect location to use as a home base for exploring. Getting up in the mornings looking out at the water yards away from the panoramic windows was fantastic. Lots of space so it was truly relaxing after a long day of cool weather hiking. Will definitely look up again next time we're out east.

Perfect location to base out for exploring greater Mount Desert Island. Great food in Ellsworth, 15 minutes away. Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our 14 days at your location. My 5:00 am morning coffee watching the sunrises, the birds flying over the water and the ski changing color by the minute is what I will miss tremendously. Nobody wanted to leave this morning!!! Wonderful Maine Vacation

Dean’s home is the perfect home for enjoying all the area has to offer! The views were beautiful w easy kayaking off the property. The beach was a short distance away… great for walking and gathering mussels and clams. We had an easy drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia along w some Points north. The house had everything we needed to feel at home and Dean was promptly responsive to any questions we had. We would love to come back!

Fabulous Family Vacation

The house was superb. We (my wife, 2 sons, daughter and son-in-law - all adults) loved the private location close enough to Acadia National Park for easy day-trips. Everything was clean and the kitchen well furnished. With 6 adults, we especially appreciated the space in the kitchen (most of our breakfasts and dinners were made at the house). We also can't say enough about our host. Dean responded quickly to questions and communicated well. He went out of his way when my daughter left an earring box behind by mistake. We give Timber Point the highest recommendation!

Perfect Maine Vacation

This property was perfect for our family of 5. So much space for us to spread out. Dan and Denise have thought of everything. We truly felt at home. Our location was great home base for exploring Bar Harbor, Acadia and the surrounding area. The neighborhood was quiet and the views from the patio were enchanting. If you are looking for a peaceful Maine getaway, look no farther!

Comfortable, Clean and Conveniently located to Acadia NP

Our family (2 couples) truly enjoyed this wonderful property!! It has amazing views and was extremely comfortable and clean. We found it conveniently located for exploring Acadia National Park, which was our primary attraction. The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed. We particularly liked the info packet provided on hiking trails and good restaurants in the surrounding areas. It was very helpful. It was just a short walk to Lamoine Beach and it seemed like our own private beach in April, at least. We hope to return someday and would definitely rent again! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Couldn't ask for a better stay!

Check in with Dean was a breeze. The house is situated on a a very quiet road. It was clean and very well stocked with enough towels, toiletries and kitchenware for our week stay. The split air conditioning units kept the place comfortable for our stay. I appreciated the ability to make certain areas specific temperatures set to individual preferences. We used the kitchen everyday and it was very spacious for four adults to work in. The large windows on the back side of the house were great for drinking coffee and watching the sky change colors. The barbecue and outdoor dining setup was perfect for family meals outside. The firepit was perfect to roast marshmallows to round out our nights. Check out instructions were clear and simple. I would highly recommend this property!

Great Host, Nice Place

The house is as advertised. It should be noted there is a new house being built right next door and they start construction at about 7 am M-F but that will abate upon completion. Also, no fault of the hosts, there was an unusual heat wave during our stay and the house got into the 90's and there is no AC that might affect some that are more sensitive. Dean and Diane are very responsive hosts and the view at high tide is beautiful and the home is very well kept for. We enjoyed our summer week in Maine and exploring the Acadia/Schoodic area from this house as our home base.

The Ideal Maine Coast Vacation

First of all, I want to thank Dean for renting out this gem of a property. I know that Lamoine is a beautiful, sleepy, (mostly retired) community who like their privacy and quiet, so I was thrilled to find this house on the point for rent! My grandparents lived right down the road on the coast for as long as I've been alive... When they sold their property, my family was looking for a place to stay and keep making beautiful memories: this is that place! It feels like home; it's private and has TONS of space; it has all the essentials. Don't hesitate. Our favorite things were kayaking from the rocky beach, making bonfires, and stargazing! *Note to anyone staying for a while, bring your own grocery bags if you don't want to pay for them :) *The ONLY thing that could make this stay any better, would be to bring a hammock and tie it between the trees. OR have some kind of swing from one of the trees. There were also lots of essential things in the fridge left from the previous stay which was nice.

Relaxing and Comfortable Home

We loved coming home from exploring Acadia each day to this lovely relaxing home. It felt like our own quiet retreat to recover and get ready for the next day’s adventures. It was by far the cleanest vacation rental we’ve ever stayed at. The kitchen was well equipped with great quality pans, utensils and appliances. It was a special treat having a large water cooler in the kitchen. The house does apparently have a shallow well so we had to be careful not to use too much water at once. This meant staggering our showers and use of the dishwasher and washing machine. It was inconvenient at times but it wasn’t too big a deal because there were only 4 of us. Also slightly inconvenient was not having a half bath downstairs. The people sleeping upstairs have to either use the master bath downstairs or go all the way upstairs to use the hall bath. This wasn’t a huge problem for us but I can see how older couples might find it difficult. All in all, though, we loved our stay. Dean was super responsive with every communication. Also the view at the back of the house is amazing. We had a wonderful week.

Dean and Denise settled in Hancock, ME after living in six different states. We are avid hikers, bird watchers and kayakers. Dean is a local photographer. We truly love Maine and are grateful to call it home. We can recommend hikes, restaurants and other activities so you have the best vacation ever.

Take in the natural beauty as you arrive at Timber Point with open views of the beautiful coastline. This secluded home has excellent access to the beauty of Downeast Maine. With a furnished patio and gas grill, cool summer days can be spent barbecuing outside and watching wildlife enjoy their habitat.
Inside, the home offers an open-concept living area with vaulted ceilings and comfortable seating. This 4-bedroom, 2-bath year-round home has water views from every room. Downstairs has 2 bedrooms, living room, a full bath and kitchen. The master has a king bed with on-suite with shower and large tub. Upstairs is an open loft area, two bedrooms and one full bath. One bedroom has a king bed, while the other is setup with a twin bed and a bunkbed with two twins and full bed. It is a great set-up for a multigenerational family.
The large patio off the living room allows for outdoor dining and socializing all while enjoying ever-changing tides. The house is situated at the end of a private road with an additional 1.3-acre undeveloped property next door that includes a private trail to the water for even more views. The neighborhood also has private access to Lamoine Beach just a short walk from the house. Lamoine Beach is great for swimming and beachcombing with views of the Acadia mountains. Lamoine State Park is 1 ½ miles from the house. The park has a public boat launch and dock, picnic area and playground. Ellsworth is just 15 minutes away for shopping and dining. Feel like dining at home? A well-equipped kitchen sits right off the living area. You can whip up your favorite recipes, while enjoying the ocean’s quiet serenity. Enjoy quality time with your loved ones and friends as you dig in.
