We loved our stay. The property is quiet. Upgraded to the kitchen, baths and upstairs bedrooms are nice. The location is perfect for access to Acadia (20-30 mins) and Southwest Harbor has good food and community amenities. The hosts are very responsive.

Excellent host communication, spacious house, and great location to explore all around Acadia. We especially enjoyed the peaceful space to unwind after a day exploring, as well as a few walks down to the rocky beach. There have been some updates done since the photos. The house is very cozy and met all of our needs as a family traveling with young children. Highly recommend!

Great location to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Our family of 7 had plenty of room. The short walk to the beach in the morning and evening was perfect. We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was exceptionally clean, charming, and comfortable. The kitchen was especially spacious compared to the smaller kitchen in the VRBO where our son was staying, which allowed us to move the food preparation for his wedding guests to our rental.One of the highlights of our stay was having the perfect space to spend some quality time with our son and his fiancée before their wedding the next day. It made an already special weekend even more memorable!My only suggestion would be to add a sign near the road to help guests identify the property. We arrived later in the evening than expected and accidentally drove past the house.Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay, and we were very pleased with our experience!

The property is as described with pleasant updates to the kitchen. Our family of five (2 adults and 3 teenagers) had plenty of space to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We loved walking to the beach and seeing all of the deer in the yard and along the way! The host was helpful upon arrival as it was very dark when we got to the cottage. A couple of suggestions would be to update the house instructions to include better details about the heater and provide a newer TV- one that we could stream our shows! Also some of the couches are broken down and could be more comfortable. We would recommend this location and house to friends! Thanks for a relaxing time.

Beautiful, clean, comfortable and close to Acadia. We wanted a spot on the quiet side of the park to retreat to each afternoon and this was perfect. The house had everything we needed to cook and relax after long mornings of hiking. The yard was perfect for viewing the sunrise and the stars at night. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

We highly recommend this property. What a gem of a cottage! Our family enjoyed the private beach, proximity to Southwest harbor, and access to Acadia Natl Park. Whitney and Dan were great hosts, and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The house was the perfect home base after touring the park; it was well equipped with all the comforts of home and even has a little play area that our elementary-aged children enjoyed. Bathrooms and kitchen are nicely updated. Our daily walks to the beach were a special highlight. We loved the views outside the windows that include a beautiful meadow with deer, and the ocean just beyond. We couldn’t have hoped for a better experience!

We had a fantastic stay the week between Christmas and New Years. The location is perfect for day trips into the heart of Acadia or a quick trip to Seawall Beach to view the sunset. The host provided books, games, and puzzles for every age. We could also sit back with a fire in the fireplace, a view of the sound, and deer wandering by. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice quiet place close to Acadia NP

My family and I enjoyed our stay here while we visited Acadia NP. It was far enough away from the crazy busy main park area but close enough to get there quickly and easily when we wanted to do so.

Welcoming home in quiet area- close to several easy hikes. Frequent deer sightings, easy beach picnics, and fun games and puzzles for a rainy day or evenings.

Beautiful older home, great location in Southwest Harbor, and very comfortable! Close to beach, with easy walking access. Frequent visits from deer, squirrels, etc. Would stay here again!

Great house, with all you need for a great stay. Quiet location, access to beach our boys loved exploring, and they also spent hours in the “play room”. We would certainly book again!

We could not have asked for a better place to stay while visiting Acadia National Park. The house was lovely, clean, well equipped, furnished nicely and conveniently located. Loved being able to walk down to the water, watching deer grazing around the yard, and winding down by the fire after a fun day of exploring.

We had a great stay. Owners have made upgrades to kitchen and baths. It was well-equipped and clean. The location is terrific: quiet with ocean/beach access down the private lane and close enough to town to put food, ice cream and shops in easy reach. The sunrise was perfect.

Perfect family vacation!

The house was the perfect setup for our family of 4 with 2 kids under 5 and our dog! The kids loved the playroom, and we enjoyed the great screened in porch. It’s the perfect location. Can’t wait to come back!
