DESCRIPTION: Belle maison de bord de poteau et de pittoresque avec un cottage adjacent d'une chambre, tout prÚs de l'entrée de Seawall du parc national Acadia, du pays des merveilles et du port des navires pour les amateurs de randonnée. Home dispose d'un grand pont qui s'étend sur toute la largeur du cÎté de l'eau de la maison avec un spa à quatre personnes sur le pont. La maison est trÚs privée, située dans une longue allée et surplombant une plage rocheuse et la voie occidentale, avec des vues lointaines des montagnes de l'Acadie. Offrant des vues sur l'eau de chaque piÚce et d'un niveau de vie, c'est une maison pour tous les ùges. Les terrains sont aménagés avec des plantations matures, une pelouse pour les activités de plein air ainsi qu'un chemin vers la ligne de rivage.

DISPOSITION: UN NIVEAU: Buanderie avec laveuse-sĂ©cheuse. GĂ©nĂ©reux plan ouvert, cuisine entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e, salle Ă  manger et salle de sĂ©jour creusĂ©e. Grande chambre de maĂźtre avec un lit queen-size, salle de bains avec baignoire principale avec baignoire surdimensionnĂ© et douche et accĂšs au pont Ă  partir d'un ensemble de portes coulissantes en verre. 2Ăšme chambre avec 2 lits jumeaux, une salle de bain attenante de 3/4 avec grande douche Ă  l'italienne avec barres de sĂ©curitĂ©. Cette salle a Ă©galement accĂšs au pont via un ensemble de portes coulissantes en verre. AUTRES: Chalet accueillant qui se trouve Ă  quelques pas de la maison principale - il offre 2 lits jumeaux (peut ĂȘtre joint pour former un roi), des plafonds cathĂ©drale avec ventilateur et une salle de bain complĂšte. This was our second time at the property. We really enjoyed our stay. There is a beautiful view of a working harbor with excellent sunrise views right in front of you. The proximity of all good things on the “quiet side” is convenient. The house is very comfortable and the kitchen is equipped for a cooking if you choose. The property and setting is private and quiet. I think the deer remembered us from last year!We look forward to returning as our schedules permit.

Kitchen fully equipped, several pieces of cookware were worn, keurig coffee maker did not work, sunscreen in kitchen broken and partially hanging down. Lock to cottage not very secure. Trash and recycle bins full when we arrived but owner arranged for a early trash pu. Other than that, the views are beautiful and property very private. Communication with host was excellent.

Another amazing trip to such a beautiful and peaceful spot of paradise. We have stayed several times in this wonderful home that is always clean, has plenty of fluffy towels and has a well-equipped kitchen that has everything in it for baking and cooking. Thank you as always to our wonderful host.

The house was spacious and well appointed (especially the kitchen which we appreciated because we do a lot of cooking). The beds and furniture were very comfortable. The setting was private and quiet. The view of the water was spectacular. This was a great location to enjoy all Acadia has to offer.

Great location for exploring Acadia

Great location for exploring Acadia and to relax after a day of hiking. Nice views from the back deck, hot tub was great and beds were comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped (we couldn't find the corkscrew, but I'm guessing we just missed it). It is a bit of a drive to get to a large grocery store, so plan accordingly. You can find smaller shops offering basics closer by. Overall a lovely place and would stay here again.

A wonderful, very comfortable, fully equipped vacation home on the water!!!

What a gem!! This is an extremely comfortable, fully equipped, home in the perfect location for visiting Acadia or just hanging out. There's a big deck with a hot tub that's just what we needed after hiking and biking. It's on a private road on the quite side of MDI, just five minutes from Southwest Harbor, beautiful lakes and dozens of hiking and biking trails. Lots of excellent restaurants are close by and Charlotte's famous lobster pound is short walk down the road. Our host, Victoria was great to work with and provided all the information we needed. Very highly recommended!

Book Again!

The property is as shown in the listing. A private setting, looking out at Great Cranberry Island. Lobster boats pass each morning and evening, with a nice tide change and perfect view of the sunrise. The main house is lovely post and beam with a well equipped kitchen. The cottage bed & bath area is great (I was in that area). We have already Booked Again.

Perfect relaxing getaway!

We had such a lovely stay! The deck and hot tub were perfect for relaxing after long days of hiking, and we spotted deer, sea lions, and turkeys! The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed, and we couldn't have had a better time.

We love this house in Southwest Harbor

This is our second time staying here and we absolutely love it. The location cannot be beat as the view from inside and on the deck is so beautiful to watch the sea life and boats and sunrises. New couch was very comfotable and all the beds were comfortable too. Our dogs love it too watching the ducks and birds on the water. Even saw a couple of seals in the bay. Victoria is quick to respond and excellent communicator. We will be back Cindy Marlow and family

Room with a View

Setting was spectacular. Home was quaint which we loved
.kitchen fully stocked with cooking supplies you would want/need. The only suggestion would be a king size bed for the main bedroom which would accommodate a person that was 6’5” in height. Loved our stay and would come again. ❀

So rare that a property exceeds expectations. What an absolutely gorgeous spot—well appointed, clean, seamless check in, attention to small gestures like new bedding and big fluffy towels. Cannot recommend this house and the proprietors highly enough.

Peaceful paradise

Each year we return to this beautiful and peaceful spot of paradise. This house is a well loved home, with comfortable beds, sofas to relax on and an outside deck overlooking the water with truly magnificent views. Love this place

a fantastic location, private but convenient to everything. Wonderful watching the lobster boats setting out in the morning fog, or a regatta from the local club from the hot tub! The cottage is superb, casual but well appointed - where else can you find a 'le creuset' dutch oven or Henkel knives in the kitchen? Owners are friendly and responsive, as are the team who keeps up the property, which has had many recent upgrades. Can't say enough about the place.

Seawall Retreat

Lovely retreat with excellent views! Kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and cookware needed to make meals. Plenty of room for a family of four to each have their own space. We would stay here again if we are visiting Acadia in the future.

The views are to die for

Amazing location and so much privacy. We absolutely loved staying here- views from every room and then once you walk outside hearing the ocean and birds was absolutely amazing. My kids had a blast on the rocks looking for sea glass and found hundreds of pieces. We had the best week- an absolute perfect location. We loved going into town to eat and see the shops. The quiet side is the way to go. I would definitely come back. We even saw turkeys and deer outside. Very easy communication with the owners and no issues.

Great location, wonderful ocean views

Quaint older style cottage(s) located near Seawall. Lots of wildlife (saw deer multiple times per day). About a 15 minute walk to Seawall, 10 minutes to the General Store. Bonus that each room has their own bathroom. Hot tub on deck was nice to use in the evenings after long, active days in the Park.

Beautiful spot

We really enjoyed watching the sun rise each morning. The kitchen was well equipped. Lots of deer browsing around the property. Would have like to use the fireplace but understand insurance doesn't cover it. We arrived in the pouring rain and lights along the walkway would have been helpful.

View from the deck was amazing. Location 20 minutes to Bar Harbor. Wonderful trails everywhere. Charlotte’s lobster right around the corner. Seriously- watch for the deer right around there!

Relaxing Retreat

We had a spectacular time at the Ledges. I went with my parents and my dog, and we spent the week enjoying the food in Southwest Harbor, swimming in Echo Lake, and hiking Acadia. The Ledges is perfectly situated on MDI - close enough to Acadia but far enough from the crowds, and returning to the privacy and peace of the Ledges feels like a treat each and every time. New bed linens and pillows for each bedroom and towels in the twin room and kitchen seem like a small expense and would make the inside as terrific as the outside. We had a bit of trouble getting into the property as the keys were not where they were supposed to be so that was initially stressful, but was easily remedied as the back door had been left open.
