Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the Holiday Surf & Racquet Club & the staff. We will come back, but will stay in a different unit. The beds need updating in this condo, and their is not enough seating on the balcony. My main concern is the mold on the ceiling and the air conditioner vents. I had to give 5 stars for the property being clean because it was very clean other than the mold on the ceiling and vents.

I sure if what it is, but it’s on all ceilings. Wonderful location and great service, but very very outdated rooms.

Few minor issues

Shower rod in master bathroom fell multiple times. Needs to be changed out. Balcony chairs are falling apart and need to be replaced. Place is nice and pics are accurate. We stay in Destin at least once a year. Condo was as nice as any other than these couple issues that are easily fixed.

Mold on ceilings,buckled tile in bathroom. Wood doors warped,patio furniture rusted and about fell out of chair. We will return,but not in #520.we were offered to move,but would have to move twice-not convenient

Great Gulf View!

Heated pool, tennis/pickle ball courts, and shuffleboard courts gave us plenty of on-site activity. And since we stayed more than 30 days we got a great rate.

The mattresses in both bedrooms seriously need replacing, very uncomfortable. Cookware in the kitchen could use updating as well. Otherwise the condo was clean, very nice, TVs, Wi-Fi we’re great. We enjoyed our stay here.

It was OK

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Generally speaking, the condo was nice and clean however a little bit dated. My biggest problem with the unit was the plumbing is BAD! We had to unclog the toilet in the master bathroom MULTIPLE TIMES (even only going "#1") and it also BARELY flushes! The dishwasher also does not drain after finishing the cycle and leaves standing water in the bottom causing the stagnant water to have a foul smell. The upside to this unit is the great location and a beautiful ocean front view! All that being said, I would not recommend this condo to a friend unless the plumbing was fixed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I liked the location of the condo in the complex. There are some nice amenities. However, this condo needs some TLC: no toilet paper holder in the master, range drawer broken and would not close correctly, second bath desperately needs a new shower head, the bed on the left as you walk into the second bedroom needs replacing - it is EXTREMLY noisy you cant roll over without everyone in the condo hearing it, the outlet on the wall in the dining room where the fan is sparked when I tried to plug in my computer, there are no metal cooking utensils in the kitchen, cabinet space is extremely limited, we had maintenance there for the dishwasher and the fridge within the first few days we were thee, not full compliment of silverware; the plates don't fit into the dishwasher...I could go on, but this should be enough to get some upgrading done...

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family had a great time! I will for sure be staying at the Holiday Surf and Racquet Club in the future. That being said I'm not sure that I would stay in 520 again. There were a few things with 520 that I didn't like at all. First thing was with all the hype about being clean this condo could have been much cleaner. The floor was so dirty that my niece walked across the condo and her feet were black...GROSS. The kitchen cabinet knobs had sticky food on some of them and I found dust and hair on the side table in the living room area. All of the beds in the condo need to be replaced as we woke up every morning in a lot of pain due to the mattress in the master being horrible. The bed felt like it was going to fall apart. The same with the twin beds in the guest room. The appliances need an update big time. One of the eyes on the stove didn't work. The refrigerator had rust and dried food or something all over the side. So while I LOVED the resort I probably would not book this specific unit again. Although I would not say that I was entirely unhappy. It was quiet and everyone was so nice.

Reviewer Comments: I was disappointed on many fronts, our door would not lock, our stove in our condo did not work properly, we had taken our Grandchildren on vacation and I had planned on cooking everyday, tough to do when stove only works part time if at all. I had to wash our towels because I was unaware that we could have exchanged them on Wednesday. The washer after I put my money in did not work, the front desk was not going to be inconvenienced to help me so I was told to go to the front desk to get my refund. For a condo that is $400.00 a night I should not have had the experience I had. Finally, the room was not very clean and was in somewhat poor condition, very dated.

Vacation review of room 520

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had been to Holiday Surf about 5 times from the 2000 time frame. We found some things had been upgraded and it was very clean. However the unit we stayed in needed major upgrades for the amount of rent. All wall plugs were loose and a hazard. Kitchen was old. Oldest I’ve stayed in in years. Porch table/chairs were rusted. Locking system sometimes would not work. Bad unit stay away. Not much of a beach. Tennis courts needed painted. Experience was okay, but will probably go back to Hidden Dunes next year. This was our 40th vacation in Destin.
