Vacation at its finest❣️

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really relaxed and enjoyed every minute of this vacation . Our room was wonderful and very comfortable ! It had everything we needed and felt like home. The two king beds were soooo comfortable and we slept so well. The kitchen had everything . We cooked in a few meals which is great to enjoy the beach longer some days. We appreciate the two chairs that come with the room I just wish we didn’t have to go down so early and sit a few hours until she came around to reserve them since it states you can’t reserve them with a towel. They took our name down in past years and they put it on our chairs . But it was still wonderful and we will be back next year ! This resort is a well kept secret. We love the family atmosphere !

Great location/not-so-great cleanliness

Unit is very nice and well laid out. Location is fantastic. Grounds are nice. Our unit, however was not super clean when we checked in. Carpets had not been vacuumed, every single coffee cup and several dinner plates in the cupboards were dirty. And not just a little dirty, really dirty. Almost like they’d been put in the dishwasher but the washer had been unloaded without running it! The garbage disposal did not work and there was no notice about that. So when we ran the dishwasher it started backing up. The worst thing though was the smell in the refrigerator. We think the prior guests must’ve gone fishing and put their catch in it. The freezer in particular was very fishy, but the refrigerator too smelled like fish. Every time we opened the door we’d get a huge nasty whiff. Very unpleasant. Housekeeping definitely needs to be put on notice!!! It’s a shame too because the condo is lovely.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re very glad to hear you enjoyed the layout of the unit, the fantastic location, and our well-maintained grounds. However, we are truly sorry to hear about the cleanliness issues you experienced upon check-in — this is certainly not the standard we strive to provide. We sincerely apologize for the condition of the dishes, carpets, refrigerator odor, and the issue with the garbage disposal. Your comments are being taken seriously, and we will be addressing these concerns with our housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure they are corrected and do not happen again. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as it helps us improve the experience for future guests. We regret that these issues detracted from an otherwise lovely condo and appreciate your honest feedback. We hope you’ll consider giving us another opportunity to provide the clean, comfortable stay you should expect. Warm regards, HSRC Guest Services Team

Check in a disaster!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The room was great, the beach rental service was excellent, and the facilities were clean and well-kept.Unfortunately, check-in was a disaster. We arrived at noon and asked about early check-in—something we understand isn’t always possible. But we weren’t let into our room until after 5 PM, which is well past the standard check-in time. When we called to check on the status, there was no apology or courtesy—just a cold reminder that we had “signed an agreement” acknowledging this could happen. The reason given was a “high turnover day.” If that’s expected, hire extra help. Instead, we watched multiple staff members sitting around or taking smoke breaks while guests waited for hours in the lobby. We don’t expect special treatment, but we do expect basic hospitality and respect for our time—especially when paying a premium price. Sadly, this experience soured the start of our trip. Would not stay here again.
Réponse de VrboOwner le 7 août 2025
Amie, Thank you for your honest and detailed feedback. We’re truly sorry that your check-in experience did not meet expectations and that it impacted the start of your trip. Please know that this is not the level of service we aim to provide. While high turnover days can present challenges, it’s clear that we fell short in our communication and hospitality during your arrival, and for that, we sincerely apologize. You’re absolutely right, courtesy and respect for our guests’ time should never be overlooked, regardless of how busy we are. That said, we’re glad to hear you enjoyed the room, the beach rental service, and the cleanliness of the property. We appreciate you taking the time to share both the positives and areas where we can improve. Your feedback is being shared with our team so we can better serve our future guests. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance to provide the experience you truly deserve. Warm regards, HSRC Guests Services Team
