Magnifique chalet de pêcheur confortable à Seahouses, Northumberland

Maison de pêcheur traditionnelle située dans une belle place pavée calme très proche du port et de la plage. Récemment rénové à un niveau très élevé. Le chalet a des murs en pierre d'origine dans la cuisine et le salon. Belle grande cuisine pour toute la famille. Il dispose de 3 chambres (1 lit double, 1 lit superposé avec lits simples pleine grandeur et 1 chambre lits jumeaux avec 2 lits simples). Il bénéficie du wifi et du net flix. Place de parking pour 1 voiture juste devant le chalet. Chiens autorisés.
Hors saison / périodes de vacances non importantes, nous acceptons les réservations pour les dates suivantes: du vendredi au lundi (3 nuits) ou du lundi au vendredi (4 nuits). Les tarifs journaliers ont été établis sur cette base. Cependant, si vous avez besoin d'une plus grande flexibilité, nous espérons que nous pouvons vous accueillir et établir un prix basé sur un mélange de tarifs week-end et jour de semaine. Si vous souhaitez rester pendant 1 semaine ou plus hors saison / jours fériés non majeurs, veuillez vous renseigner sur le prix car nous appliquerons une remise généreuse - nous ne nous contenterons pas d'ajouter le prix en milieu de semaine et le week-end ensemble. Pendant les périodes de vacances, le prix est basé sur un séjour d'une semaine complète (du samedi au samedi) et est donc déjà réduit sur les tarifs journaliers. Je vous remercie.

Over all we enjoyed our stay, everything was very good. The one small thing we didn’t really like was the quality of the shower. Although it was adequate, it lacked power.

Accommodation was great, high quality furnishings, and very comfy. Communication with Dawn was straightforward, and we really enjoyed our visit.

Stayed with family and a dog. Lovely cottage. Very clean & tidy with everything we needed. Excellent location, right in the centre of town with easy walks to really great pubs / restaurants and beautiful sandy beaches. Yes, the turn into the square is a little bit tight but we were in a large 4x4 and managed it easily. Great communication with a very helpful host with quick replies. Highly recommended.

Lovely getaway

Great renovation of an old sea cottage. Spacious, spotlessly clean, quiet and nicely positioned nearby the harbour, fishing boats and boat trip to Farne Islands. Only a few metres walk to seats overlooking the harbour and to fish and chips/icecreams/hot donuts. We were very happy with Seahouses and would not hesitate to stay again.

Pleasant stay

Pleasant stay. Clean house and a good location. Puffin and seal cruise is a must. Beach is walkable. Recommend the Black Swan nearby for food and also the potted lobster in Bamburgh. Need to book well in advance for the Potted Lobster! The seafood van between Seahouses and Bamburgh is great too.

Property was lovely. Only small problem was the length of the shower curtain. Could be a trip hazard. Everything else excellent.

ideally located cottage, a real home from home

First impressions on entering the property were how clean everything looked and smelled. It is in an ideal location, right next to Seahouses harbour, and a short walk to the beach and also to local shops, pubs and restaurants. We did have to contact the owner, Dawn, on one occasion in relation to the heating but Dawn answered immediately and the issue was quickly resolved. The weather was not great unfortunately but we still managed some nice walks and a boat trip to the Farne Islands, which I would heartily recommend.

Very clean.

It was cleaned to a very high standard which we appreciated. Was disappointed that sofa collapsed on the first day because it was supported by blocks of wood etc which had moved. We missed having a view.

Hi Sarah I’m very disappointed by your review and it is very unfair. Previous guests broke the sofa and they tried to fix it. The sofa was expensive. As soon as you pointed out the sofa was damaged, my father the very next day fixed it, so you could not tell. We went above and beyond to deal with your complaint. The cottage has a view into the cobbled square and our advert does not say it had a view across the sea. Our other cottage, Salty Kisses, does have the amazing view you wanted. Regards Dawn

Pleasant stay

Overall a pleasant stay. Great location for easy walk into Seahouses which has some lovely bars and restaurants and nice little shops. Close to the coastal path walk and harbour. Property overall including linen and bedding were all very clean and comfortable. No issues with wifi and owner was very responsive to messages. My only wee negative was that crockery and cutlery wasn’t very clean so had to wash it all when we arrived. With such a large kitchen shame there isn’t a dishwasher.

Great Location and facilities?

No towels except 1 hand towel. No Netflix, no BBC 1 except through iPlayer. Very noisy as a family with 3 children and a dog in accommodation above.

Hi Geoff, I’m disappointed with your comments. We pay for Netflix and it was there you just couldn’t find it and you never called me to ask. The cleaner said she left 1 large towel and 1 small towel per person staying which is acceptable. I accept no extra large bath towel but the large towel is big enough. You never contacted me about the family staying at no. 10 otherwise I would have called them and asked them to keep the noise down. Thanks for giving us 4 stars and it’s a shame you didn’t list all the positives of your stay. Best wishes Dawn

Beautiful, well equipped home from home

We have just returned from a week-long stay in this lovely location. It is situated just around the corner from the harbour and had everything we needed for a relaxing and peaceful getaway. My only criticism would be that it advertised a DVD player (and I had brought along several DVDs which we were looking forward to watching) and, although there was indeed a player, it had the wrong connection for the TV and we were therefore unable to use it. Otherwise a wonderful stay. Thank You.

Seahouses at its best

Location is brilliant. Cottage was lovely and clean. We did have an issue with WiFi for a very short time but this was quickly rectified by host which was great as we had no phone signal. The cottage was very spacious, the photos don't do it justice.

Lovely Short Stay

The house was absolutely lovely, and being so close to the beach and cliffs was really handy with three boys who wanted to get out and run about! Hopefully we will be back in the not too distant future!

Great location

We’ve had a lovely week, great location, everything you could possibly need in the house. It was clean and spacious. Parking was a bit of a problem, our space was also someone else’s space and it was very congested in there, but for us it was ok as my parents were staying in the opposite courtyard so we parked there instead. We chatted with our neighbour and came to that agreement so all good. A lovely property and would highly recommend.

The cottage has one allocated space immediately outside the cottage saying Sandy Toes parking and so no one else should have parked here. I’m sorry you moved but the space was legally yours. A lovely comfortable cottage

The cottage is situated perfectly and very comfortable. Easy walks to beach, harbour, all amenities in Seahouses and great coastal walks. Dawn was super helpful throughout the process. Would love to visit again. Can highly recommend.

Fantastic cottage!

A lovely little cottage a stones throw from the harbour and all the shops, pubs etc that Seahouses has to offer. It provided everything we needed and more for a fab family holiday. Highly recommend!

So impressed

The cottage was so clean and so very well equipped. Very pretty and comfortable. It was so close to the harbour and the people around so very friendly. Two very small gripes the internet was so bad and a small garden area would have been helpful. Ihave a year old puppy and she had to be permanently on a lead. Thank you so such a wonderful few days

We’ve had Sky out now on numerous occasions about the wifi and there was a fault on the Open Reach line which they are dealing with - I’m sorry when you were there the wifi was not great. No private garden but lovely courtyard immediately outside and less than 1 minute to beach and harbour for dogs. Thanks. Dawn x

Well equipped cottage in a lovely area

Spacious, clean and equipped with everything you need, a lovely cottage to base ourselves to explore the area. Check in and out was easy, and the owners were easy to contact and fast to respond. Definitely would stay again if we visited the area again.

Cosy courtyard property

Perfect location for easy access to the harbour, seaside and shops/bars. Quietly situated within a cosy courtyard with no town noises, despite being very close to all the amenities. Hosts were very easy to speak with and quick to be in touch if any issues arose.

My husband and I purchased the cottage in 2014 and we started to holiday let it in August 2015. The cottage required complete renovation and this has been carried out to a high standard. We enjoy using the cottage ourselves and therefore wanted to make it feel home from home. We have two young boys, Aaron (12) and Isaac (10) who love the sea, to swim in the harbour and surf. Seahouses is a gorgeous and relaxing place, and as a family we adore it.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We fell in love with this cottage because of its location - it is set in an old cobbled square very near to the harbour. The cottage is about 160 years old and full of character.
