Lovely charming property well located for exploring Northumberland. We all enjoyed the fantastic garden especially our little dog. Thank you very much for the lovely welcome basket. It was very appreciated. I m sure we will be back again.
Our 2nd visit to Dogdaisy cottage. A lovely, clean, well equipped cottage with everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing holiday. The beautiful garden is perfect for sitting quietly watching the birds and perfectly safe for our dogs. We definitely want to return.
The cottage is lovely. Nice bathroom, good kitchen which is well equipped. Stunning garden. Comfy bed and bed linen. Lovely little extras like wine, tea, coffee and bread which we really appreciated. Just a little remote and far from the coast for us, especially in poor weather. Try the Running Fox at the Plough in Powburn. Excellent food.
Beautiful place in a peaceful village. The cottage was 5 stars. We loved staying in the cottage, everything there for us, couldn't have asked for more. Our dog loved the garden and so did we, so peaceful to sit and listen to the bird's. Tjete is just one little thing, the cottage is not accessible by car, we had to carry everything down a narrow lane to the cottage which was a little disappointing as i have a curvature of the spine and not very mobile, i think this needs to be brought to peoples attention before booking. Overall though we loved every moment and would recommend anyone who wants a peaceful escape. The beaches are amazing near by
What a little gem this cottage is. Absolutely spotless on arrival, welcome basket, very welcoming , lovely touch. Everything you need for a home from home stay. Very comfortable bed. The garden is beautiful, you can see itâs well looked after, very private and enclosed which was great for our dog, who loved it too. The bird song I will miss a great deal. To sit out and just listen to the birds, sheep & cows, tranquility. The village itself is lovely, everyone so friendly. A great base for exploring Northumbria. Will definitely be returning.
Cosy cottage is an excellent description the cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The conservatory is a lovely room to relax in. Parking is on the road a short walk away not by the house.
Loved everything, but a note should be made that there are very active bees in the foliage immediately outside the back gate. Whilst this did not bother us overmuch, it may be a problem for a future guest with a bee sting allergy.
Overall we were very impressed with our stay at the cottage. Everything just perfect from the moment we stepped through the door:Cleanliness, furnishings, comfy bed & pillows all excellent.Northumberland is a wonderful county a d thereâs lots to explore.
An idyllic cottage and garden. Perfect for a relaxing get away in beautiful Northumberland. Great communication from owners. Lovely welcome pack. Planning a return visit asap. Thank you.
We had a great stay. The cottage is peaceful and tranquil . With a beautiful garden and views of the hills beyond It's a perfect base for visiting attractions, beaches, country side walks and the convenience of Alnwick for independent shops and restaurants Correspondence with the owners was great, a welcome basket was provided and the cottage was very clean and cosy
Cottage was cosy and well appointed. Very well placed for visiting historic sites of Northumberland and the coast. We enjoyed beautiful sunny but very cold days. Would certainly recommend this cottage and its location.
Such a gorgeous cottage, clean, calm and tranquil. Really nicely presented with super quality interiors which was so appreciated. We wanted for nothing and the extra touches of little chocolates, breakfast basket and tissues we wonderful little touches. We stayed with our two dogs and they loved it. So many beaches to walk in the day and a cosy log burner by night. We will certainly come to DogDaisy again.
Beautiful little cottage. Me and my husband took our dog away for a few days in January '25 and this was perfect. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was warm and spacious with a view of the garden. The kitchen had everything that you could need and the fire was great to settle down infront of after a long day exploring This was a good base for exploring Northumberland.
The cottage was quaint, cosy and so clean. There were extra little touches and lots of amenities inclused to make it home from home. Perfect location to explore lovely Northumberland

Paul and I live in Leeds and have a busy life with work, family and running a holiday cottage. We visit as regularly as possible as the cottage has a lovely homely feel with a delightful garden which we enjoy pottering and relaxing in. We had a couple of holidays in Northumberland several years ago and decided we would love to be able to own a cottage. We felt so lucky when this property came on the market and knew it was just what we were looking for, despite the pouring rain when we viewed it. It's perfectly placed to visit all the lovely gardens, castles, coast and villages Northumberland has to offer, and yet is situated in the beautiful countryside in a small peaceful hamlet so it's the perfect place for a break away from everyday life.
This is a spacious 1 bedroom cottage which is tucked away, offering a real sense of peace and tranquility and has a lovely very private south facing garden which is a real sun trap in summer. Winter breaks allow for cosy nights in front of the fire after walks in the countryside or on the wonderful beaches.
