Experience renting this cabin for the weekend was great. Great location, restaurants and parks very close by. Host was gracious and willing to help with whatever we needed.
The house was beautiful, clean, and spacious. The setting is spectacular, and you truly feel as if you are in your own private oasis. We will definitely be coming back.
Has all the enemies needed and all the peace & quiet anyone could ever ask for. Loved the gorgeous surroundings both inside and out! Thanks again Frank for sharing!
This cute little out of the way cabin was just what we needed for our stay! We enjoyed the peacefulness and location! Our how was awesome and very helpful. Overall: âïžâïžâïžâïžâïž
Property was as listed, there were no surprises. We had a great a weekend with our sons, daughter-in-law and grandson. We enjoyed the cabin and the location. Our host was most helpful and responded promptly to questions.
The cabin was so clean and smelled so nice when we walked in.
The amenities were way more then expected and the location was so quite and serene. The host was easy to get ahold of and so pleasant to communicate with. I defiantly recommend booking with him for a mountain getaway!
Property was located in an excellent area. Nicely appointed. We'd consider renting this property again. Owner was Quick to respond to any Question we had.
Although I have been to this area several times in recent years, this was our first time staying at Pete's property. The house was immaculate and comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed several hikes in the area as well as a couple of meals out at local restaurants. All in all a perfect getaway - thank you for sharing your home and being such a friendly and communicative host!
We stayed at the cabin from dec 27 to Jan 1st, we were 4 adults and 3 kids and 2 small dogs. Everything worked perfectly, the cabin is wonderful, clean, comfy and has everything we needed. The area is quiet and romantic. Frank helped us a lot. We hardly recommend the house and the area!
We stayed for a weekend and wished we had longer. The wooded setting is peaceful and full of nature to explore and the cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was the perfect size for our family of 5 and kids loved the spiral staircase leading to the loft. We went hiking and fishing in nearby Little Pine Park, ate at local restaurants, and sat by the fire pit at night and roasted marshmallows. Would love to come back again sometime!
Frank is a wonderful host and that cabin was beautiful and well stocked!! We spent the days kayaking and evenings by the fire pit and the Stars wowza!! Beautiful!! The grill on the deck was super to help make some wonderful dinners! We did check out the Mountain Top Provisions just down the street from the cabin, which was wonderful. Also Good Neighbor Craft House at the base of Hyner overlook. That is a super place! Great beer, food and the folks that work there are wonderful!! WE had a wonderful family vacation in the mountains!! We will definitely go back!!!
We booked a nearly one-month stay at Frank's cabin and we couldn't have been happier.
There are so many positives to list about the cabin - the home was incredibly clean, all the linens fresh, the showers hot, the kitchen well stocked, all appliances in great condition, climate control easy to use, beds comfortable, and the surroundings peaceful.
Perhaps the only negative I could offer is that of internet/cellular reception and speeds.
Frank was a communicative, flexible, and thoughtful host.
Highly recommended!
This beautiful cabin was the perfect place for our family to come together to find some peace!
We are so grateful to have had the perfect place for our family to be together during a difficult time. The family was coming back to my parents hometown of Woolrich to lay my father to rest in the Woolrich Cemetery. We will be forever grateful to Frank who help in more ways then just the cabin while navigating difficult times. Thank you Frank for being flexible and doing everything you could for our family. We were blessed to have your support and commitment during this time. Thank you!
This cabin was cozy and comfortable, and is in a great location.
We wanted to be near hiking / biking options, and possibly some water. This spot is close enough to all of those things and more.
We enjoyed the fire pit, beds were comfy, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own food, which we did for all but one meal. The TV was a nice touch, especially since we got some bad weather and were stuck inside for a day.
Communication with the owners was great, despite our having a pretty serious COVID scare immediately prior to departure and thinking the best option was to try and cancel. Thankfully we were able to enjoy ourselves even though a few members of our original group bailed due to the scare.
We've already booked another stay!
We had a lovely visit at the Outback. Even though it rained a lot, we loved the lighting and view of the forest through the amazing windows in the front. The owner was very responsive to questions and any needs that we had. It's a lovely private spot, but within easy reach of the Trading Post and a lovely little restaurant nearby called the Mountain Top Inn. It is a good hour to an hour and a half to the PA Grand Canyon...what a beautiful drive! We saw lots of deer...no bear or rattlesnake. Everything was so lush and beautiful! One caution is to know that there is no wifi available. Verizon has service, but other phone services may not work there. It was a great "getaway"....
Tried hard to write this review. I want to be fair to owner and potential renters alike.
The place is nice. We've stayed in nicer for the money however. It's pretty much as advertised although the cleaning needs to elevated (don't lift the toilet seats for example).
If you rely on WIFI as most people do - particularly in remote areas like this where cell service is spotty - then you need to understand that this property uses a Verizon hot-spot and there are no arrival instructions that have the password. I had to call the owner to find out where the device was hiding and then look for the password. Don't bother texting.
We only used the loft bedroom so I can't comment on the window air conditioners downstairs. The upstairs one is loud... very loud. It will wake you up loud.
Otherwise, nice house and property.
I served in the Marine Corp in 1991-95 ... got out and moved to Pine Creek. I am an avid snowmobiler and fell in love with the area. I own and operate a construction rental and supply store in Lock Haven called Action Equipment.
