Welcome to another day in paradise along the majestic Pine Creek! The Bear Run Lodge is conveniently located within walking distance of the Hotel Manor, Wolfe’s General Store and the rail trail. We are a creek front property with several access points a short walk away. Enjoy everything the beautiful pine creek valley has to offer. Several hiking trails including the Black Forest trail are just steps away in the beautiful Tiadaghton State Forest.

Enjoy walking out to the creek and being front and center to world class fly fishing. “The Stretch”, a two mile catch and release area is directly out our door. Watch eagles fly overhead while you enjoy exploring all Pine creek has to offer. Whether you are fishing, kayaking, biking, hunting, Atv/Snowmobiling, or just enjoying the peaceful Tiadaghton forest, you will be steps away from everything in the Bear Run Lodge.

Our main house sleeps six people and has three bedrooms. Our master bedroom is on the first floor with a queen bed. Upstairs, our loft second bedroom offers two twin beds. Through the second bedroom, you enter the third bedroom with a double XL bed. We recommend queen sheets for this bed. Not all double sheet sets fit. Enjoy relaxing on our enclosed front porch or making s’mores around our fire pit. We have firewood for your use but it is not guaranteed. Our bunk house is available in addition to our main house for $30 per night. Our private bunk house offers its own deck and has heating/air conditioning. The bunk house has one double bed, one twin bed and does not offer plumbing.

Please note: You will need to bring all linens and towels. We do not have sheets or towels on the property. Each bed comes with pillows and light bedspread.

Our home away from home offers a fully stocked kitchen ready to prepare a family meal. We include a coffee pot, Keurig, air fryer, toaster oven as well as traditional appliances. We also have a propane grill for your use. Our living room includes a 50 inch smart TV with Dish network. We also have a DVD player and a selection of movies. Our home offers newly installed high speed internet which can support streaming platforms. Please remember this is a remote cabin and we cannot guarantee the reliability of wifi/cell phone service. Parking is available in front of the cabin and has room for 4 vehicles.

Gorgeous late weekend

Everything was perfect! The house was very clean, relatively well equipped, perfect location, rather secluded and quiet. Fishing was very good. Scenic vistas right in front day and night. Thank you very much! Looking forward to the next stay at the cabin.

2nd Time at Bear Run Lodge

This is a great place and makes an ideal base camp for biking, hiking, hunting, fishing, or anything else you're doing in the area. Or if you want to do nothing it is big and comfortable enough inside to just hang out. Check-in is easy, clean cabin, ideal location, and friendly neighbors.

Cozy & comfortable cabin

Cabin was very small but very well equipped & had comfortable furniture, great beds & pillows. The bathroom had lots of hooks & shelves to put things. A little odd to have to go through the master or the bathroom to get to the stairs (we chose not to use the outside door to the stairs), but we adapted & loved it here. To free the bathroom, it would be nice to have mirrors in the rooms for putting in contacts, checking for ticks (out in force!), drying hair or putting on makeup. The bunk room could use some hooks & a mirror too. All in all, this is a great place if you are comfortable with 6 adults sharing a bathroom. Johnny called in advance to give us information on the cabin, made sure we had everything we needed after check in, & stopped to check that we were ok when he heard about a medical incident on a hiking trail. We were impressed with the attentiveness & appreciated his concern. We were able to walk to hiking trails, to Hotel Manor for lunch & to Wolfe’s store for snacks & essentials - no driving required. I understand why this cabin is so highly sought after.

Clean, comfortable, and great location

This is a great cabin in a great location. Within walking distance to hiking trails, general store, rail trail, and bar/restaurant plus right across the street from Pine Creek. Highly recommended!

Wonderful jump off point

What wonderful close access to Pine Creek rail trail and hiking trails! Johnny the property manager was pro-active in contacting us ahead of time and then checked on us when we arrived - nice touch! Cabin was perfect and the fire pit out front was lovely.

Welcome to our home! Eric and I are thrilled to share our own piece of paradise with you. Eric and I came to Pine creek for our honeymoon in 2020. We had booked a trip to Hawaii but our trip was canceled due to the pandemic. We have been coming back with our family ever since. We enjoy fly fishing and hiking. Our two children and dog Sadie love to hike the trails.
