LA DESCRIPTION----------------

Situé en plein centre de POGGIBONSI, il est idéal pour ceux qui voyagent en bus ou en train car il se trouve en face de la gare.
Base idéale pour visiter les joyaux toscans tels que Florence, Sienne, S. Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Volterra et les meilleurs vignobles de la Toscane.

Entouré de restaurants, de pâtisseries, de boutiques et d'un petit supermarché, l'appartement se trouve à seulement 500 mètres de la clinique ophtalmologique "Siena Eye Laser" du Dr Leccisotti.

Entièrement équipé et très confortable.
Draps, couettes, plaids, serviettes de toilette, serviettes de douche, gel douche, shampoing, etc. sont fournis.
La cuisine est entièrement équipée avec casseroles et poêles, vaisselle, café, thé et tisanes à disposition.

L'appartement a été construit sur les anciens remparts de la ville (aujourd'hui détruits) et, malheureusement, il n'est pas accessible aux personnes à mobilité réduite.

1st Week Toscany in Poggibonsi

This is a nice place, mending in with the locals. A coffeebar just outside the frontdoor, restaurants around the corner, supermarket, bus- and trainstation all at a few minutes walking almost at viewing distance. Parking is easily done near the trainstation. You have all you need and for a holiday feeling you just have to leave the appartment and you are in the middle of the old centro.

Excellent stay in Poggibonsi!

My wife and I enjoyed our 5 day stay in Poggibonsi. The apartment had everything we needed and we were very comfortable there. Stefano and Stefania are friendly and considerate, Stefano speaks excellent English and was able to help us with anything we needed. I was concerned about finding parking in the downtown area but there was free 24hr parking at the train station only 2 minute walk away from the apartment. Poggibonsi is a great central location for touring all over Tuscany. Thank you Stefano and Stefania for helping to make our first visit to Tuscany a wonderful experience!

Best place to stay in Italia!

We felt at home in this beautiful apartment! Stefano the host met us at the train station and walked us to the apartment. He even carried my suitcase up the stairs! Apartment was clean and well stocked with necessities. We enjoyed the accessibility and helpful communications with Stefano! The location of the apartment is close to cafes, restaurants, shopping, markets and all types of transportation! We Enjoyed an invigorating walk, through a beautiful park, to La Fonte delle Fate and Absolutely fell in love with Poggibonsi! A wonderful place to stay

Stefan and Stefania were very accommodating. They met us at the train. The location of the property is perfect like other reviewers have mentioned- near everything you need. Great point for visiting Siena, Florence, San Gimignano and other small towns. I will say that the pocket stove (because we stayed in the winter) was a bit of a challenge. Luckily, my travel partner was good at doing things with his hands and understood how to work the stove. He kept the stove running, filling it with pellets and cleaned it a couple of times so it wouldn't back up with ashes. The stove was used to heat the apartment in case you didn't know what a pocket stove was. I surely didn't know. Overall, the stay was wonderful and I would stay there again.

Great Location

We chose to stay in Poggibonsi as a central location to see Siena and San Gimignano, and were very happy with our choice. The apartment is right next to both the train and bus station, a few feet from many delicious restaurants, and across the street from a grocery store. It's central enough for some city noise (we liked the church bells), but with the windows closed and the air on it was nice and quiet. We also found a large park nearby with a shaded path around to an old castle site that made a nice evening walk. Stenfano was a "10" for helpfulness, and even came to help make sure we figured out how to get on the bus during a holiday (bus station was closed and ticket machine broken). He and Stefania were great throughout, attentive to any question or concern. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, including air conditioning and reliable Wi-Fi (along with some interesting personal touches). The sofa bed in the living room was super comfortable and the main bedroom had great storage. The bathroom was cute and had imaginative tiling; made me smile with the light up shower head! Great stay!

Amazing apartment in the midst of a wonderful, genuine Italian neighborhood

We home-based here for a week following our initial stay in Florence. For us (2 American retirees in our late-ish 50s & 60s), the apartment was a perfect spot to both watch life go by, and to be able to quickly and easily slip out and join in (or at least get a closer look). It's in a working class area with the charm of older, narrow streets and muliple small piazzas where the community interacts daily (and nightly). You can sit on a bench or step and steep in the comings and goings and genuine warmth and affection these neighbors and families have for each other. Lots of eating options and a grocery very close, and very convienient to train station. If you need some down time, you can relax inside, cook if you want, etc., but still be able to hear the sounds of piazza life if you open the windows. Apt itself had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Colors are cheery, with fun touches everwhere. All the varying tile surfaces in the bathroom were particularly memorable. Kitchen was great--compact, funtional little European-style area that we enjoyed using. And loved that stove-top espresso maker! Stefan met us at the train station, walked us to and through the place, thoughtfully provided us with a bottle of water in the fridge, and checked in (via message) a couple of times during our week there to see that all was well. All-in-all, a super experience in a unique apartment.

Un appartement bien situé pour toutes les visites que nous avions prévues et agréable malgré un 3ème étage parfois difficile à négocier en fin de journée. La casa di Stefano e Stefania e' molto carina e spaziosa, nel cuore storico di Poggibonsi. E' arredata con gusto artistico e ogni angolo ha qualcosa da offrire. Nostro figlio di 7 anni si e' divertito ad esplorarla e ne e' rimasto piacevolmente colpito. E' inoltre molto ben attrezzata. C'e' un comodissimo parcheggio gratuito nella stazione dei treni a 10 minuti a piedi, che noi abbiamo sfruttato durante tutto il breve soggiorno. Stefano ci ha accolti carinamente al nostro arrivo, ed e' stato disponibile durante il nostro soggiorno per qualsiasi richiesta. Dovendo tornare a Poggibonsi, scegliemo nuovamente questa casa. Bellissimo appartamento centralissimo e comodo ai negozi ed ai servizi!!

Bellissimo appartamento disposto su più livelli, posizione centralissima (sotto casa ci sono due piazzette pedonali molto carine più sull'altro affaccio una piazza con un parcheggio a pagamento), molto comodo per fare acquisti o semplicememte fare una passaggiata in centro storico. Proprietari veramente cordiali e disponibili, complimenti!!

Fantastic apartment for exploring Tuscany

Our stay at Stefano and Stefania's apartment was amazing! It is conveniently located for train and bus travel and there is a supermarket right across the street. The apartment was beautiful, comfortable, and very clean. Stefano met us at the train station when we arrived and was very generous with his offers to help us arrange transport around Tuscany. Ideal para visitar la Toscana

Estefania y Estefano son super acogedores y se preocupan por darte respuesta a tus dudas durante tu estancia. Su casa es ideal para visitar la Toscana, al lado de la autopista y a medio camino entre Siena y Florencia. Se aparca gratis a unos 100 mts. La cama del salón es grande y cómoda, válida para dos adultos. El wifi rápido y sin límite. En conjunto un lugar ideal como base para visitar la zona. Por cierto hay una tratoria al lado donde se come muy bien a buen precio.

Colorful apartment, wonderful hosts, good located town

The apartment looks exactly like on the photos - there are no surprises! It is good equipped and has everything you need. Also, the location is very good, close to the bus and railway station (if you want to travel around by bus or train, the connection is good), big supermarket, cafes, restaurants, shops... From one side of the apartment you can see nice pedestrian area and from the other is more city view. There is paid parking available just in front, but free parking lots are also very close. Stefania and Stefano were very helpful, always available and we really appreciated their recommendations on what to see, where to eat, etc. Thanks again for that! We used this apartment as a base to explore more of Tuscany, and we can recommend Poggibonsi as a good located spot to do that!

Wonderful hosts, lovely unique apartment

We stayed at the apartment using it as our base to explore nearby San Gimignano, Siena etc. On our arrival, the hosts showed us around, patiently explained what to see and how to get around. On one occasion on casually enquiring about an item in the kitchen that Stefano mentioned wasn't available, he and his wife made sure to purchase the same (along with numerous other bits not even requested) and dropped them at the apartment - all within hours. Nothing was too much trouble for them! Stefano speaks good English and constantly kept in touch during our stay to make sure we were comfortable. As regards the apartment, it is exactly as it looks in the photos. The sofa bed is large and very comfortable (it was used by 2 kids and an adult for part of the stay!). Well equipped kitchen and bathroom, unlimited wifi, 1 minute from the bus stop, train station, supermarket, paid parking available just below the apartment and free parking 2 minutes away! If you are looking for an apartment away from the crowds, yet accessible to all the major destinations in beautiful Tuscany, I highly recommend this lovely home. Thanks again Stefano and Stefania for making this a memorable trip for our family.

APRI LA PORTA ..... E TI RITROVI IN UN DIPINTO

CHE DIRE I PROPRIETARI SONO PERSONE SQUISITE,VERAMENTE DISPONIBILI L'APPARTAMENTO E' PROPRIO COME SI VEDE DALLE FOTO,E GIURO NON MANCA PROPRIO NIENTE... LA PULIZIA E' SUPER OK IN PIU' L'APPARTAMENTO E' SITUATO IN UN PUNTO STRATEGICO,E QUINDI SI PUO' RAGGIUNGERE OGNI LUOGO DELLA TOSCANA COMODAMENTE IN PULLMAN O IN TRENO , CHE TROVERETE PRATICAMENTE SOTTO CASA ... ANCHE LA COOP E' SOTTO CASA..... IO TORNEREI ANCHE SOLO PER RIVEDERE L'APPARTAMENTO UN CARO ABBRACCIO

Grazie infinite per le belle parole e per la descrizione dell'appartamento fatta dal punto di vista di chi arriva. E' proprio grazie ad ospiti come voi che siamo stimolati a migliorare continuamente l'ambiente del nostro appartamento. Nei giorni scorsi abbiamo aggiunto una serie di giochi da tavolo per grandi e piccini ed abbiamo attivato un collegamento internet wi-fi gratuito ed illimitato. Inoltre la città di Poggibonsi offre eventi tutto l'anno (soprattutto in estate, ma non solo) e questi si svolgono sempre nei dintorni dell'appartamento rendendo estremamente piacevoli tutti i momenti della giornata. Per esempio, il prossimo fine settimana (ogni primo fine settimana di Ottobre) si svolgerà il "Palio del Pigio": gara di pigiatura dell'uva fra i rioni della città, che si terrà proprio sotto le nostre finestre. Sarebbe davvero un grande piacere ed un onore avervi di nuovo come nostri ospiti Un caro saluto Stefania

Perfect location for reaching most of Tuscany

Great location about a quarter mile from both the train station and the bus. There is a bus ticket office, staffed during the day, on the walk to bus stop. There is a very nice Co-op grocery store across the street and the property is on the edge of a very nice pedestrian area with old, narrow streets, restaurants and shops. Most restaurants have FREE wifi. The pedestrian area was very lively until about midnight so it can be a bit noisy. I loved walking the narrow streets and just watching people living life. The apartment is nicely decorated and quirky in a nice way. `The kitchen is well equipped, the bedroom is large and the sleeper sofa was comfortable for me. I really appreciated the clothes hanging line right outside the window. The owners were extremely helpful, even meeting our train at about 11PM. We had a minor glitch and the owner was able to come in just a few minutes. We elected to pay the owner for a ride to Pisa airport on our last day since our flight was somewhat early and we didn't want to risk missing a train connection. A wifi connection would have been very helpful but the owner is planning to have that installed. I think buying a European SIM card for your mobile phone would be helpful too. I would definitely return here on another visit to Tuscany.

You have been the perfect guests and I recommend you to all hosts on this platform. As you mentioned, we are installing the wi-fi service in few days. We are looking forward to hosting you again next time you are around. UPDATE 23/sept/2016 The internet service is active with an high speed unlimited wi-fi connection

Il tocco dell'Artista

L'appartamento è molto particolare, rispecchia in pieno le foto, a noi è piaciuto molto e ci sembrava di vivere in un quadro. Le stanze erano molto pulite, cucina ben attrezzata. I proprietari erano molto disponibili che ci siamo sentiti più che ospiti parte di una famiglia. Ci hanno consigliato il ristorante "La Speranza", dove abbiamo mangiato una buonissima bistecca in un ambiente familiare.

Avec mon mari, Stefano, nous avons cet appartement à Poggibonsi et nous voulons partager avec les voyageurs qui veulent avoir quelque chose à garder dans notre cœur et être dit de revenir.
Nous parlons italien et en anglais, mais nous comprenons, un peu, même les Français

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Parce que nous savons que les voyageurs recherchent des endroits à ne pas oublier et il est dommage de ne pas partager avec eux un appartement si spécial et unique.
Est exactement ce que je trouverais dans mes voyages.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Cet appartement est vraiment unique en son genre.
Il est le petit grenier d'un ancien palais, construit sur les ruines des anciens remparts de la ville (non visible) et sa caractéristique principale est d'être structuré et décoré comme une peinture.
Chaque coin et chaque mur est peint différemment et l'atmosphère, il offre est unique. Même les fenêtres principales ont été peints pour être des fenêtres simples, mais font partie intégrante du décor.
L'emplacement est stratégique parce que dans le piéton Poggibonsi (un arrêt de repos le long de la célèbre « Via Francigena ») et devant la gare ferroviaire et routière.
La vie nocturne d'été est en pleine effervescence et sont disponibles cinémas, clubs et restaurants à distance de marche.
En gros, il est idéal si vous cherchez quelque chose « spécial » pour vos vacances qui devient une partie des « bons souvenirs » et qu'il ne soit pas un simple lieu de dormir.
