We absolutely loved staying at Villa Ambra. It was very spacious with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for the 6 of us. The villa was absolutely charming with its well kept swimming pool and outdoor patios. The owner and his son were so incredibly nice and helpful, especially acting as our interpreter when we had car trouble with our rental. Thank you again so such a wonderful stay!

We absolutely loved staying at Villa Ambra. It was very spacious with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for the 6 of us. The villa was absolutely charming with its well kept swimming pool and outdoor patios. The owner and his son were so incredibly nice and helpful, especially acting as our interpreter when we had car trouble with our rental. Thank you again so such a wonderful stay!

Very helpful hosts. Piero always responded quickly and in a helpful way. We were met at the Villa upon our arrival at 2:30AM due to significant flight delays. We did not expect that level of hospitality. The Villa is very clean and comfortable. The outdoor space is a great bonus on good weather days. The location can’t be beat as a hub for getting almost anywhere on east coast of Sicily. The town of Trappitello grows on you. Close access to cafes, low key restaurants and grocery shopping. The views of Mt Etna are great. The 2 downsides for our experience were the unfinished construction project across the street and the barking dogs next door who would bark for hours. While the beds were acceptable, they were a bit on the hard side for us.

Beautiful property and located close to town. Plenty of room for 6 adults, with privacy but also for sitting, talking, game playing. Key holder "Papa" was a gem. Told us all about the area, history, etc. One drawback was the ability to shower at same time but we worked out a schedule!

We had a great time at this villa, the bedrooms are large and the beds are comfortable apart from the main bedroom on the first floor which is like sleeping on a rock so me and my partner had to sleep in rooms. The views from the villa was amazing apart from a building site in front of the villa which is not being worked on this is of no fault of the owner but it did ruin the view of mount etna a bit. The villa had everything we needed and the kids absolutely loved it. The pool was great and the hosts were perfect and the fridge had beers, prosecco ,water and milk. There was also a villa behind us which was being renovated so occasionally heard drills etc but this was kept to a minimum. The villa is in walking distance to shops, a few restaurants and a bar. The villa itself is perfect for a family

We had a wonderful time at Villa Ambra. We stayed two families for one week at the villa and the ourdoor area was our favourite place. The view of Etna is amazing and the kids loved the pool. The neighborhood is quiet and nice with good parking possibilities in front of the house. We were able to do an early check and warmely welcomed by Piero who also gave us some good tips about Trappitello. Can highly recommend this palace.

This villa is in the perfect spot to explore Taormina, Naxos and Mt Etna. We were a group of 8 friends and it was perfect for us. Very much enjoyed relaxing by the pool and having plenty of space. Amazing views of Mt. Etna and very easy to get around from the villa. Would highly recommend.

Ancient Beauty

We stayed in a beautiful, well appointed villa in the Tripitello section of Taormina. It is a lovely neighborhood with many villas. Our villa had a wonderful view of Mount Aetna which has its own weather. There are many significant historical sites to visit in the area. We enjoyed the town of Naxos with its spectacular ocean views and restaurants on the water. The food in the area is terrific especially if you like seafood.

Lovely villa

A lovely villa. Lots of space, big bedrooms. Gorgeous outside spaces, terraces and verandas where you can find a peaceful corner, or catch the sun at different times of the day. Lovely pool. Car definitely needed.just over an hour to Etna, 10 minutes to Taormina, 50 minutes to Catania.

We all enjoyed our stay very much. The villa was spacious as were the outdoor areas. The location was quite good. The drive to Taormina was relatively easy and only took about 20 minutes. The view of Etna was impressive, but the views of the sea were unfortunately hazy because of the smoke from Etna. The only negative was was abandoned construction directly across the street; however, it did not obscure the view.

There is something magical about Villa Ambra nestled in the shadow of Mount Etna... The villa was our oasis for 7 days while we explored the beauty of Eastern Sicily. Our hosts Orazio and Piero were both charming and helpful and were there even when we had car issues. They take great pride in their beautiful Villa and it shows. We were 2 couples but had room for many more. The kitchen was fully equipped which was great for cooking dinner after a day out exploring. We had breakfast on the front terrace, dinner on the back terrace and also enjoyed the pool. The Villa is located near a couple of cafes, restaurants and a grocery store. We would highly recommend it to couples and families.
