Lazy Bear et Salmon Run sont des suites adjacentes et peuvent facilement accueillir des groupes plus importants. Toutes les suites ont un décor d'élégance rustique avec tous les conforts de la maison. Nous avons une vue panoramique sur Pioneer Peak, la chaîne de montagnes Chugach et le glacier Knik. Entouré de bois, il y a des sentiers à gogo pour faire une promenade de loisir et une prairie paisible pour en profiter. Nous sommes à quelques minutes de 5 lacs, tous peuplés de poissons. BEAUTIFUL place to stay

We were upgraded to the Salmon Run because the Cozy Moose had an extended stay happen. The Salmon Run is AMAZING! Very comfortable everything! Nice and quiet area as well. Great place to get to easily get to anything in Wasilla or Palmer. Thank you!

Cozy stay in Palmer

We absolutely loved our stay at this cozy property in Palmer! When we arrived there was soft Christmas music playing, the fire place going, a plate of muffins, and a dish of assorted chocolates. The bed was very comfortable and the property has everything you could possible need. The decorations were super cute and the attention to details do not go unnoticed. We hope to be able to come back again and stay someday and would recommend others to choose this place as well.

Our stay at Cozy Moose was wonderful. We can say enough about the super comfortable bed, quiet atmosphere and view of the mountains out the bedroom window. We enjoyed seeing the beautiful sunrise out the window on the cold clear mornings.

A Little Bit of Heaven on Earth

I can't say enough about Cozy Moose, the name says it all. The view from the deck is absolutely beautiful with the mountains in the background and landscape just alone! I actually sat out on the deck on a sunny afternoon with my winter jacket on enjoying the surroundings...very relaxing! Greeted with soft lights, a fire in the fireplace, a beautiful Christmas tree that was lit and candy canes hanging on it, a candy dish with miniature chocolates and 2 delicious muffins. It was stocked with enough essentials to get you started. I am hoping to return in late Spring or early Summer next year!

Very clean, nice property

This place was fantastic! It was super clean, had everything that you usually forget at home, and it is moose themed. The view out the back is one that we will remember. I could not have thought of a better name for this place.

Cozy, charming getaway, can’t wait to go back.

The room looked exactly like the picture. Spotless and pristine inside and out. Even though there are multiple rentals it feels like you have the place all to yourself. This was the perfect rental for us, I highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Absolutely fantastic!

Our two week stay was by far the most memorable experience of our travels in the U.S. to date. Our lodging was totally private, secure, quiet, clean, well kept, impressively decorated, comfortable, and loaded with everything one would want or need for a relaxing and scenic home away from home. The welcomed feel to this place is unsurpassed. My husband and I slept as soundly here as we do in our own home. The addition of spectacular views from the balcony are a breathtaking plus! We made good use of the fire pit out back as well since nothing strikes the heart more than spending an evening sitting around a fire while gazing at the night sky. But if it becomes a little too chilly out of doors, the fireplace inside provides the same ambiance. The location on the outskirts of Palmer was found to be equally impressive for those who crave some quiet time, or for those planning their own excursions of the great outdoors of Alaska, or Alyeska as the natives say. It proved to be a centrally located hub for all the major sights one often thinks of Alaska offering and each easily gathered in one day trips if desired; Denali to the north, and Whittier to the south for example, and all points to the east and west as well, then back home again in the evening to kick off the shoes and reminisce over the day's wonders with a hot cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. Simple drives along the rivers and visits to numerous lakes provided some stunning views as well. During the fall season, as the mountains became multi colored with leaves turning in preparation for winter, a panoramic photo awaited to be taken around every curve. Donna and her husband Johnnie are to be commended as excellent hosts. Their well thought out location and provision for their guest's every desire is undoubtedly a treat waiting to be had for those who visit. We, Rick and Micki Kean, recommend whole heartily that you do so! You won't be disappointed.

Charming and comfortable!

We were very pleased with our stay. We slept great in the spacious king sized bed. We were very comfortable in the living area (HUGE tv, comfy couch and chair). And the kitchenette was perfect for our 2 night stay. The property is quiet and very well taken care of. Thank you for opening your home to us! As fellow Alaskans who regularly travel to the Valley, we will be back again!

Beautiful, tranquil retreat!

My husband and I stayed in the Cozy Moose for 2 nights while in Palmer for a Magic Yarn Project training. Bed/towels were so comfy! Kitchen was well stocked, though we only used it for breakfast one of the mornings. The view from the balcony was mesmerizing! We never saw the owners, which-in my opinion is a huge compliment to them....it means we needed Nothing from them, they've already thought of everything! They were very accommodating, letting my husband check in early so he could go exploring right away after dropping me off at my Training in the morning. Highly recommend!

Cozy is just the beginning!

Wonderful choice to stay at the Cozy Moose! From our arrival to our departure, we enjoyed the most serene, private and comfortable 4 days, conveniently located to AK Highway #1 yet surrounded by forest with views of the Chugach mountain range! Welcomed with fresh muffins and Hershey's kisses, the suite was warm , inviting and contained everything we needed! Owners were always available when we had questions, but allowed us the complete privacy to enjoy the suite and grounds as if we owned the place! If we ever have the opportunity to visit Palmer again, we wouldn't consider staying anyplace else!

Johnnie and Donna came from the deep South, so southern hospitality is a part of who they are. Like other young couples, they came to Alaska seeking an adventure, reared their family, and now enjoy their grandchildren.

Johnnie has worked in the Information Technology department of the local electric cooperative for over 36 years. Donna worked as an Administrative Director of the local community senior center, managed an adult day care program for the frail and elderly in a home-based business for 15 years, and recently retired.

Now they are ready for their next adventure, sharing their home and hosting families so others can enjoy their own Alaskan adventure.

Palmer is a small community town, populated by colonists in the 1930s, with a lot of history that is still remembered and celebrated with Colony Day events in June and December. Combine the small community atmosphere with the breathtaking beauty of the Matanuska-Susitna Valley surrounded by mountains; add the long days of summer that produce the most extraordinary flowers and vegetables highly admired at the Alaska State Fair in late August; and top it off with all the fishing, hunting, 4 wheeling, snow machining, cross-country skiing, wildlife viewing in your front and back yard. We have been blessed to have found our small piece of the Last Frontier.

Location, location, location! Moose Comfortable Vacation Rentals is located on over 3 acres of Alaska wilderness, surrounded by spectacular panoramic views of the Chugach Mountain Range, Pioneer Peak, and the Knik Glacier. Canoe Lake (stocked with fish) is within walking distance and just a bit further is the Kepler-Bradley Lake State Recreation Reserve that includes miles of well-maintained and marked wilderness trails that weave among 13 lakes with stunning mountain views along the way. We border the Palmer Hay Flats State Game Refuge which is rich with wildlife, moose, wolf, beaver, etc., salmon streams, nesting eagles along with other birds of prey, water fowl and migratory birds.

Yet, just a few miles away you will find great restaurants, fun shopping, emergency clinics, and a hospital. And the city of Anchorage, with all of its attractions, is only 35 miles away.
