Here for a week with my daughter (12) & it was lovely - Caroline (host) was very helpful… house was fab - beautiful & clean - plenty of space, great location, easy to use kitchen appliances… likely to book every year - first time we’ve been on holiday & it was great Places to visit: Fountains Abbey, Whitby Abbey & Whitby, Filey Beach, North Yorkshire Water Park, Mount Grace Priory, Scarborough Castle, Scarborough, Bridlington, (go crabbing)

Flamborough View

Lovely cottage, had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. Very clean and comfortable. Great location for Filey, Scarborough, Bridlington and surrounding areas. Would definitely stay there again.

Beds

The property was great it all respects apart from the beds! The double bed and mattress was fine BUT all the other beds need to be replaced! The mattresses on the twin beds in the second bedroom were so soft and old that one of our group decided to sleep on the sofa bed downstairs. The 2 beds in the small bedroom can only really be described as ‘camp’ children’s beds and the mattresses were appalling, worn so much the springs were almost visible. A great shame as the rest of the property suited our needs perfectly but wouldn’t return due to the state of the beds.

Amazing cottage with Amazing views very friendly host . Close to filey and Scarborough walking distance to filey . The cottage was absolutely immaculate we loved our stay .

Too many disappointments

The property is in a pretty setting with nice views to the coast. The accommodation is clean and tidy. However it is badly let down by many factors that make it way overpriced and disappointing, especially... - the mattresses for all beds apart from the double bed are very uncomfortable...they roll you into the middle and you can feel the springs, so it's impossible to have a good sleep. - the third bedroom is very small and far too small for the 2 super-narrow beds that are crammed into it - the showers don't work properly if there's anyone using any water anywhere else in the property (including flushing toilets) so showering needs to be carefully coordinated - the sofas are end of life - no towels; no soap; no washing up liquid; no condiments; almost no toilet paper; just 2 dishwasher tablets for the entire week - just feels mean. Cannot recommend, even if it was much cheaper.

Great property, good location within a short drive so many places to visit, Flamborough head being the most stunning for scenery saw puffins & seals, so lovely walking the cliff tops.

Lovely cottage central for Yorkshire coast and moors

Beautiful cottage with lovely garden, we stayed in the Flamborough view cottage that opened up onto fields with sheep in and views of the sea in the distance. Cottage was a very nice size with plenty of space. Everything inside you needed. Quiet and very peaceful. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely weekend here. Great location, lovely accommodation, peaceful and easy to walk to the coast and Filey in about 10-15 mins. The hosts were very helpful, helping us out very quickly with a query that we had.

Great location and a lovely cottage

This cottage was in a great location in Filey with some lovely walks close by. The cottage itself was basic but comfortable and very clean. I would stay here again but it would have to be at a lower price than what we paid for a week in August when everywhere seemed to have overinflated their prices.

Schönes Haus mit nettem Garten, guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge

Das Haus ist sehr schön und prima für eine Familie mit zwei großen Kindern (zwei Bäder!). Schöne Aussicht auf die Küste. Von hier aus lassen sich sehr gut Ausflüge in den Nationalpark zum Wandern machen. Den Sandstrand erreicht man zu Fuß (20 min). Sehr interessante Küste, auch weiter Richtung Hull. War für uns die letzte Etappe vor der Fähre ab Hull. Sehr nette Vermieter! Kleine Minuspunkte: Die Straße war etwas laut (deshalb nur 4 Sterne für die Lage) und das Geschirr, das wir benutzen wollten, mussten wir erst mal in die Spülmaschine stecken.

Really lovely stay. Clean, tidy and a lovely welcome of wine and chocolate! Only pointer would be to have an instruction guide for the oven. We have a range and we’re not sure of the various symbols eg grill or oven. But brilliant. Would recommend especially for the views. Many thanks.

There's nuffin like a puffin

The view of Flamborough head and the closer cliffs was fantastic. We enjoyed seeing and hearing the sheep in the adjacent field. There was lots of room in the property and garden and it is very well kept and equipped. It was very close to Filey and near to Bempton cliffs (gannets and puffins were our favourites), Sewerby Hall (we liked the Humboldt penguins and Guinea pigs), Flamborough and Bridlington.

Nice little cottage in a lovely spot

We enjoyed our stay in the cottage and in Filey. The kids enjoyed the beach and visiting Alpamare water park in Filey. The apartment was reasonably well equipped although there were a few things that were not so good - the single beds were all quite uncomfortable, and the sofas in the lounge also not that comfy for sitting in of an evening. Also, there is no washing machine. But it was warm, cosy and clean and we definitely enjoyed our stay.

Clean and well maintained. Lovely setting

Overall a nice size, 2 bedrooms were great, 3rd very small with 2 single beds squeezed in. Wonderful rural setting and very quiet. Would have been nice to have towels supplied. Great to have parking spaces. Very impressed. Convenient to have 2.5 bathrooms.

Good location with wonderful views. Cottage was clean but a little tired looking in need of some TLC

Disappointed that although advertised as suitable for 6 adults the 3rd bedroom is extremely small and only suitable for children (Beano & Dandy posters suggest this too) Wouldn't describe it as luxury; sofas and chair are cheap and uncomfortable, only 1 roll of toilet paper in each loo ( for 6 adults staying 9 nights), 2 dishwasher tablets, 2 waste bags and no soap or hand wash in toilets - all in all definitely not luxurious. Broken kitchen chair and freezer part replaced very promptly but 2 light bulbs not replaced although promised. Showers provided only intermittent hot water and shower head in main bathroom shot off on 2 occasions whilst showering, narrowly missing the person showering. The shower screen was ineffective leaving water to be mopped up off the floor every time the shower was used. All the above were small niggles which we managed but didn't expect in a 'luxury' cottage.
