We thoroughly enjoyed the spacious house, quiet location but close city center. Easy access to shopping, dining, auto routes to surrounding area. Would definitely stay here again! Very responsive host & local contact.
We had an amazing time. The house exceeded our expectation it was absolutely stunning, pool, patio and grounds were lovely and a very easy walk into Sarlat where there are plenty of restaurants, shops and market stalls.Would definitely recommend it.
The grounds are wonderful and the place is well equipped. for large groups. The location is handy for getting groceries and visiting the medieval center.
We loved Sarlat, and the location of this house meant that we could just walk everywhere in town. We also went canoeing on the Dordogne and to Lascaux--both were easy drivers from the house. The house itself was extremely comfortable, well laid-out, and lovely; and the grounds were gorgeous. We enjoyed a day just lounging by the pool with terrific wine and delicious baked goods and cheeses that we picked up in town. We actually all want to go back and stay here again! My only issue is that the showerheads in some of the bathrooms could have been cleaner. But the house overall was very clean upon our arrival.
We had the vacation of a lifetime! The house was beautiful! There were 3 couples and 4 kids. There was ample room for everyone. And lots of room to spread out and find privacy as needed. Every bedroom had it's own bathroom and there was an additional powder room next to the communal space. Spacious kitchen with high end appliances and all the necessities. Air conditioning and fans for comfort. The pool was gorgeous, the landscaping was gorgeous. There were also several areas outside to sit and relax. The property owners were so helpful and always available to answer questions quickly. The location could not have been better. Supermarket down the street. Easy walk to town. But the house also felt very private. Easy to get to all the many sites and activities in the area with a car. I wish we could have stayed longer! I would highly, highly recommend this listing to anyone and we all felt the same way!!!
Although the home was very clean with many amenities. However, we could never find out how to use the stove, oven and microwave. One of the bathrooms had a very loose faucet and a shower that leaked all over the floor. The property manager was very curt whenever we spoke to him.
The house needs many more detailed instructions. We loved yard and the location.
We had a brilliant week at Les Cedres. The property is stunning and in the perfect location- walkable to Sarlat with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. We loved the pool area and the downstairs kitchen which opens out onto the terrace- we spent every afternoon and evening enjoying this space. We would highly recommend this property and hope to return again one day. Thank you Anne!
We loved Les Cedres. Huge house- perfect for a mixed group of two families. Pool is gorgeous and gardens are beautiful.
Fantastic to be so close to Sarlat which is an easy walk away. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Our family of 7 adults and 2 children stayed here in early July 2022. The property was ideal for large groups, with enough bedrooms and modern bathrooms. It was also very nice having a choice of two kitchens, one on the main level and one on the pool level. The poolside amenities (umbrellas, lounges, pool toys) were great. The center of Sarlat was a short 15 minute walk and there was a grocery store nearby. We would stay here in a heartbeat if ever visiting Sarlat in the future. Thank you Anne
This was easily the best house Iâve ever stayed in. There was 13 of us (rented let petit Maison too) and there was comfortably enough room, enough crockery etc for us all. The pool was incredible!
Rooms were very comfortable and bathrooms great.
Itâs perfectly positioned for a quick walk into Sarlat, but to be able to drive out to loads of different activities (definitely suggest canoeing on the river)
10/10. Just didnât want to leave.
We were three generations of a family that included four grandchildren under the age of 6, Les Cedres fitted our requirements perfectly. The accommodation is of first class quality with plentiful supply of everything that you could possibly require and all of the rooms were immaculate, comfortable and well fitted out. The superb pool and grounds kept the grandchildren occupied for hours whilst the rest of the family simply relaxed. With only a fifteen minute walk to the centre of the Medieval Sarlat, and an excellent boulangerie at the bottom of the road, the location of Les Cedres is perfect.
I would definitely recommend Les Cedres as a perfect holiday rental for visiting Sarlat
Les CĂšdres was a perfect home base for discovering the Dordogne.
The house and property are lovely, prettier than the photos. It was like living in a meadow of blooming wild flowers, idyllic, with a swingset for our four year old. The saltwater pool was the center of our days after exploring the Dordogne, having arrived during âla caniculeâ. The handsome and very thick stone walls of the house protected us well enough from the unseasonable heat and fans were graciously provided to make sleeping perfectly comfortable upstairs. We lived, grilled and ate outside in the evenings to enjoy the picture-perfect setting.
The cooking class, the owner Anne guided us to when asked, was a gem in an already fabulous trip studded with so many wonderful experiences to be had within the brief drives to reach them and worth taking for just for drinking in the environs. It wasnât easy to leave the house, as happy as we were to be there.
We appreciated being able to walk breifly down the road, child in stroller, to visit a grocery store, a backery, restaurants, all right there, and the open air markets twice a week.
Our stay lacked for nothing, save our own foresight to have booked a longer stay. Anneâs and her staffâs attentions to details and welcoming made our previous stays in Paris near Parc Monceau and a subsequent stay in Normandy near Mont St Michel pale in comparison. We will want to return to Les CĂšdres sooner than later.
A beautiful and peaceful home, garden and pool and so near the characterful town centre too.
We were a party of 10 over 3 generations celebrating a special birthday.
Le Cedres was absolutely ideal for us. Fortunately there were fans in all the rooms as the temperature was up to 39 degrees so we visited the caves, did canoeing and looked round the lovely areas of the Dordogne first thing and dipped into the welcoming pool each afternoon and then relaxed on loungers under brollies on our return - perfect!
There was plenty of parking space for us all.The garden was attractive and also well equipped and spacious for the children and we enjoyed al fresco evenings on the patio, sometimes barbequeing. when the downstairs kitchen was most appreciated.
Both kitchens were so well eguipped that everything was available that one could possibly need. The bedrooms and bathrooms were also modern and comfortable and the spacious lounge.diner light and airy. The welcome pack was a friendly touch and we also had waiting some shopping that we had ordered for our first evening there.
I would definitely recommend this holiday home to large parties of any age and it was a shame when the time came for us to leave.
This is a lovely, well-equipped property with a wonderful garden and in a great location.
We had a fantastic week's stay. There is lots to see and do in the area, but we also enjoyed simply relaxing at the property. We had wonderful weather and made good use of the pool, deck and barbeque. Although it is only a short walk into Sarlat, the property is in a quiet location and it was very peaceful. Highly recommended.
We fell in love with Sarlat; it is a beautiful city and so close to so many fabulous things to do. We were thrilled to find Les Cedres which is a lovely family home, yet with a stylish twist.
When you are sitting by the pool in Les Cedres it feels as though you are in a secluded garden miles from anywhere. But you are just seconds away from restaurants, shops and one of the most perfect and lively medieval city centres in France as well as having really easy access to a multitude of attractions and cultural opportunities. Sarlat is buzzing; there is always something going on there.
The house has been beautifully refurbished with lovely bathrooms and a truly stunning kitchen. The 12m salt water heated pool is next to a shady pool area. The little house in the grounds offers further space and flexibility for an additional charge. An EV charger is available for you to use.
